Shape Memory Alloys - Modelling of Non-linear Systems with Hysteresis
Vašina, Michal ; Hrabovský, Miroslav (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This work describes a possibility to use a shape memory alloy as a non-traditional actuator in a particular mechatronic system. The practical part of this work is dedicated to the experimental property verification of the chosen shape memory alloy and also to the design and realization of the new type of electrically controlled gabled valve that uses a shape memory alloy as an actuator. This valve is designed as a replacement of the traditional solution and is also integrated into McKibbens pneumatic muscle endcap. There are also results of practical functional verification of the designed gabled valve solution listed here, and the limited condition for its manufacturing and use is stated here. In the theoretical part of this work, firstly, the shape memory alloy and non-linear systems hysteresis type are discussed. Secondly a new particular solution is designed, which is based on a non-linear computational element, defined by goniometric cosine function. Finally, the properties of the designed solution are verified through the simulations and with the use of experimentally gained datas.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company Likos a. s.
Vašina, Michal ; Horňáková, Markéta (referee) ; Hornungová, Jana (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deal with theory of financial analysis, methods of calculation and practical application of financial analysis on the company. Valorize situation of the company based on financial analysis and suggestions for improvement.
Reinforced concrete structure warehouse
Vašina, Michal ; Strnad, Jiří (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with structural design and assessment of most loaded parts of cast-in-place concrete frame warehouse structure. Selected parts of structure are floor structures above first storey, more precisely joist slab and primary beam, which is part of inner main frame, also inner column and foundation pad under the designed column. Structural analysis was provided by computational software IDEA StatiCa, eventual results check is done by simplified hand calculation. Last part of thesis is formwork drawing designed parts of structure and reinforcement drawing of selected elements. The structure was assessed according to the ultimate limit states (ULS) and seviceability limit states (SLS). Assessment was provided according to valid standards.
Design of a road bridge
Vašina, Michal ; Řehulka, Martin (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The thesis deals with structural design of road bridge across the Opava river and its floodplain area. Three variants were elaborated and compared. Variant of 8-span girder bridge about three hundred metres long was chosen for detailed processing. Structural model was created by computational software Midas Civil and SCIA Engineer, first model is 3D beam grid model and includes time dependent analysis of construction phases. The second model is 2D model formed of plate elements. Structural design report and drawings are included. Assessment was provided accoding to valid European standards.
A system for orders management in a restaurant
Vašina, Martin ; Hnětynka, Petr (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
The work is about the implementation of a system for orders management in a re- staurant, and is focused primarily on companies such as teahouse/cafe, ie facilities that are not divided into kitchen and bar, but have only one preparation room. The system, which enables fast and clear registration of orders and sales, helps to keep track of the company's finances and customer requirements. In addition, a suitable system is the key to better business services. There are already many order management softwares on the market, but due to the great variability of the properties of these systems, it is difficult to find just one that will meet the exact requirements of the company. Within this work was designed and implemented a system Orsy. The work was created for requirements of a specific tea house, where it is now used with satisfaction. In addition, the system contributes to innovation in the area of information systems for restaurants. 1
Untraditional Actuators Sma Type -Modeling Of Hysteresis
Vašina, Michal
The shape memory materials are known since first half of the twentieth century. The example of these materials could be a Shape Memory Alloys (SMA). Because of their attributes, the engineers usually call them a „smart materials“. The SMA can be used in many static or dynamic applications for example in problem of actuators. Thanks to the SMA materials sophistication and associated shape memory effect, there are some issues (hysteresis, degradation etc.), which can complicate their prospective usage. The attributes of SMA classified these actuators to the category of non-linear system with hysteresis. This article deals with the SMA use and potential hysteresis modeling approaches. Several model examples are discussed.

Application of pressurized hot water for etching of microfluidics
Vašina, M. ; Grym, Jakub ; Foret, František
The subject of this study is a new method of glass etching and its application in microfluidics. Commonly, hydrofluoric acid is used for glass etching. In this study we have tested a new method of glass etching using pressurized hot water. Test motives were prepared using photolitography and metal sputtering on the glass substrate and the etching was performed in a newly developed device capable to compress and heat water to its critical point. Electron microscopy and profilometry have been used for analyzing the surface of the etched glass substrate.
