Estetické implikace Wittgensteinových úvah o řízení se pravidlem

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to reconstruct Wittgenstein's reflections on the problem of rule-following (resulting in the so-called "rule-following paradox" in the form of an infinite regress of self-referring rules) and to draw aesthetic implications of these reflections. The starting point will be both the well-known interpretation of relevant passages in Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations by Saul Kripke (Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language) and the British philosopher David Bell's study The Art of Judgment. In his treatise, Bell attempts to demonstrate a connection in thought between Wittgenstein's reflections on rule-following and the reasons why Kant, in the Critique of Pure Reason, introduced judgment as a special power of the human mind responsible for the application of concepts to experience. In the passages of the Critique of Pure Reason that precede the introduction of judgment, Kant encounters the same paradox that Kripke identified in Wittgenstein. Bell himself suggests certain aesthetic implications of the paradox. The thesis will follow the suggested line and attempt to develop it further.
