Monitoring of dynamic systems with piezoelectric sensors
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kšica, Filip (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe localization and calculation load identification of dynamic systems using piezoelectric sensors. Finding methods, which would allow us to evaluate loads on simple systems is the key to their application in the structural health monitoring of more complex systems. A theory necessary for understanding and application in aerospace, civil engineering, automobile industry, and train traffic of presented methods is given in the first part of the thesis. In these applications, the methods of wave propagation and different types of neural network methods are used to evaluate load identification. It is possible to evaluate loads by using a time reverse method, a method based on signal deconvolution, and a method based on a voltage amplitude ratio of the piezoelectric sensor. In the next part, the methods are described, the suitable place for gluing of a sensor, and the number of sensors for using method is given. These methods were verified and compared to a simple experimental system. In the following part, the model of the piezoelectric sensor is presented. It is possible to use the model for calculating voltage output from the strain. For methods verification, the problem of train passage in a specific place of the railway is chosen. The speed of the train and its load on the railway was calculated by using these methods.
Streamlining of a Project Management Process within a Company
Analysis of Travel Agency Customer Satisfaction and Suggestions for its Improvement
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Pšenička, Martin (referee) ; Chlebovský, Vít (advisor)
This thesis focuses on increasing the customer satisfaction of travel agency. Customer satisfaction is a key component for maintaining market position, company reputation and its growth. Client satisfaction is especially important in the area of services, including travel agencies. Based on a questionnaire survey among customers, using the NPS method and the KANO model, measures are designed for increasing it. Also the suggestions are obtained to improve company promotion with the use of customer survey.
Alandering Of Li-Ion Electrodes And Its Im-Pact On The Final Capacity Of Lithium-Ion Cell
Svoboda, Lukáš
There is an effort to produce lithium-ion batteries with maximal density of energy, or higher capacity of cell with the same size. Calendaring of electrodes is important part of manufacturing of batteries. Its parameters, mainly the pressure of calendaring and with it related the final compression ratio of electrode layers, affect parameters of battery significantly. It is the process of pressing electrode material coated on current collector with certain pressure and it reduces its porosity and thickness. The aim of this article is determination of suitable level of calendaring that increases specific capacity, but does not reduce its cyclability.
Synthesis, Characterization And Centrifugal Force Spinning Of Sulfurized Polymers For Electrochemical Power Sources
Svoboda, Lukáš
Lithium-sulphur batteries have the potential to increase battery capacity while maintaining their weight and volume. This is possible due to the high theoretical energy density of sulphur. However these batteries suffer from several failing, which still hinder practical use. The use of amorphous sulphur instead of its crystalline form leads to increasing of cyclic stability and charge efficiency. Inverse vulcanization of sulphur seems to be perspective method for the preparation of polymer sulphur, because it prevents its recrystallization and stabilizes amorphous sulphur.
Human rights movement in Czechoslovakia and in Ukraine in the end of 1970s
Mokryk, Radomyr ; Vojtěchovský, Ondřej (advisor) ; Svoboda, Libor (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of the human rights movement in Ukraine and Czechoslovakia after signing the final act of the conference on security and cooperation in Europe in Helsinki 1975. The thesis is an attempt of a comparative analysis of these two human rights movements in the late 1970s, based on two concrete groups: Ukrainian Helsinki Group and Committee for the Defense of the Unjustly Prosecuted. The research focuses on the comparison of the social context for the dissent activity, the historical circumstances and the activities of the human rights groups. The thesis traces the main tendencies and topics in the activities of both groups. Particular attention is paid to the life stories of the actors of human rights movement and efforts to explore some common features in biographies of these personalities. Key words: Human rights; Helsinki movement; dissent; opposition; Soviet Union; Normalization; Czechoslovakia
Synthesis and characterization of sulfurized polymers for electrochemical power sources
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Ondřej (advisor)
Batteries based on lithium-sulfur technology have the potential to increase the amount of stored energy in comparison with current lithium-ion systems while maintaining the same weight. Achieving this goal is possible due to the high theoretical energy density of sulfur, which exceeds the values of other materials used in batteries. However, these batteries suffer from several failing, which still hinder the practical use. The use of amorphous sulfur instead of its crystalline form might lead to increasing of durability and charge efficiency. Inverse vulcanization of sulfur seems to be the perspective method for the preparation of polymer sulfur because it prevents its recrystallization and stabilizes amorphous sulfur. The aim of this thesis is the preparation and study of properties of materials made of inverse vulcanized sulfur.
