Hydrogels with carbon fibers
Kučerová, Barbora ; Bouška,, Marek (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the study of the behaviour of carbon fibers in the hydrogel, especially the viscoelastic modules od these gels ort he coefficient of color transmission through the gel. The main goals were to optimize the samples and measure their viscoelastic modules on a rheometer, in several different modes. This was followed by simulation of physiological conditions for selected samples and their measurement on the rheometer. There was also an experiment of continuous diffusion in cuvettes, in which the penetration of the dye through the gel with the addition of fibers and for comparison also without them. Last but not least diffusion pairs were prepared.

Time and its reflection in law Aim of this Master's degree thesis is to explain time as a quantity which influence human's life more than any other and that is one of the most relevant legal events which cause certain consequences in law. The aim of this work is to capture time as a quantity that influences human life more than any other, and that is one of the most legally relevant facts with which the law attaches certain legal consequences. The thesis is divided into nine chapters; the first four are devoted to philosophical and historical introduction to the concept of "time", while the remaining five are focused on the influence of time in the context of the current Civil Code. The first chapter follows the perception of time from the beginning of mankind, deriving primarily from the work of a major Romanian historian and philosopher of the last century - Mircea Eliade. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to investigate the connection between de- veloping relationships with other people and individual effort on the highest knowledge. Its intention is to examine the form of this connection between social and epistemological (or theological) sphere. Through the analysis of M. Buber's work I and Thou and I. Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, the thesis attempts to present and clarify what kind of relationships can we adopt towards the world, other people, and spiritual sphere. Within the scope of these relatioships, the thesis wish to emphasise the specificity of interpersonal relationship. Afterwards, on the grounds of this specifity, it should be shown whether there is any spe- cial mutual dependance between interpersonal relationship and the higher knowledge. However, it might be also shown that there is not such depen- dance or even that in striving for higher knowledge and spiritual growth, it is necessary to surrender all finite things including interpersonal relation- ships. Whatever the outcome of this reflection might be, we are still human beings dealing with everyday circumstances of ordinary life. Consequently, we cannot break loose of involvement in interpersonal relationships as we are repeatably forced to return...

Language and Institiution
Kučerová, Barbora ; Pokorný, Martin (advisor) ; Švec, Ondřej (referee)
(in English): The aim of this thesis is to clarify the normative character of language, that is, how we are bound by a certain set of rules in every speech. We will look into this normative character of language by articulating two essential questions: in what is this normativity grounded and which aspects constitute language as an institution. In the first part of the paper we interpret the work of three authors, Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles S. Peirce and Pierre Bourdieu, in order to answer the question on what the normative character of language is founded. In this part we mainly look into the relationship between language and social consensus, habit/acting and institutions. In the second part of the paper we give a definition of language institution which is inspired by the work of Peirce and Bourdieu. Further on we clarify in systematic way those aspects of language which can be considered as normative. Firstly, we point out those which are clearly part of language, such as lexicon, pronunciation and intonation, official language and institution symbolized by language. The last aspects that we will analyse are speech genres, belief, habit/acting and power.
Bachtin's philosophy of language
Kučerová, Barbora ; Fulka, Josef (advisor) ; Ritter, Martin (referee)
This present looks into the philosophy of language and meaning in Bachtin's writings. Our research into the constitution of meaning is founded in utterance, which is in the life access grasped as a dialog. There are three central points by which we approach this topic. First of all I would like to clarify Bachtin's proposition about relation between utterance and non-language reality by polemic with Saussure. Meaning of language is constituted in forms of speech, which are founded in interest groups - this is non-language reality, and always bears some evaluation. Moreover, I demonstrate that particular speaker and listener are not essential for understanding of the utterance but interest groups are the basis of explanation the utterance like dialog. Each utterance is realized on the border of other's utterances and this is the reason why meaning cannot be conceived as identical with itself, but is determined by dialog with other evaluations. Therefore, meaning always bears some evaluation, there are not one universal language, but heteroglossia. Keywords utterance meaning evaluation speech form dialog
