Options determination of synthetic fragrances in wastewater
Kašparová, Jarmila ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Synthetic fragrances (musk) are artificially made organic compounds, which are used as fragrances in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. The presence of musk is proven in all environmental compartments. However, the greatest attention is paid to purified waste water, which is a frequent source of pollution of surface water. The physico-chemical properties of musk compounds cause their accumulation in the living and non-living components of the ecosystem, where they behave as persistent pollutants. The presented bachelor thesis deals with the problem of determining individual musk compounds of all groups side by side. In the bachelor thesis, nineteen musk compounds of four groups, nitromusk compounds, macrocyclic musk compounds, linear musk compounds, polycyclic musk compounds were studied. The basis of this work was to optimize the method for determining all groups of musk compounds side by side, evaluating and interpreting the results. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) was used as a method for extracting analytes. Gas chromatography in conjunction with mass spectrometry was used for the final analysis, as a detector was used for a Time of flight analyzer.
Family house
Pánek, Martin ; Klimeš,, Vladimír (referee) ; Klimešová, Jarmila (advisor)
The main concern of this thesis is to design three storey family house. The house is divided into the main living area to the garage and basement areas and a part of an establishment. There is 2 floors in the house and there is partially a basement. The house has a flat roof.
The manufacturing of feed sheet metal component
Pašalov, Tomáš ; Matušková, Jarmila (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
The project made within the bachelor‘s program B2307 represents a proposal of the production technology of a cutting – a device made of steel plate 12020. On the basis of secondary literature dealing with the problematic topic of cutting technology a production of components in sequential device was designed. The sequential device is composed of normalized components and is resolved by using a universal easel. The cutting box is fixed to the compressing machine LEN 40 C (producer TOMA Industries, s.r.o.) with the nominal drawing force of 400 kN. The upper cutting edge and cutting form are made of tool steel class 19, heat-treated according to the drawing documentation.
Marketing |Mix of Selected Hotel
Brychta, Ladislav ; Pecková, Jarmila Hnidáková (referee) ; Novák, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the current situation of the chosen hotel located in the middle of Masaryk Circuit in Brno. On the basis of analyzes, are set proposals for improving of hotel´s marketing mix. The analysis of the hotel is based on acquired theoretical knowledge. The basis for proposals of the improvement of the marketing mix is the knowledge which is gained on the basis of the analyzes.
PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF BIOPOLYMER-BASED NANOPARTICLES AND NANOFIBERS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN FOOD AND COSMETICS
Kundrát, Vojtěch ; Vilčáková, Jarmila (referee) ; Kráčmar, Stanislav (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
The presented dissertation thesis deals with the polymer polyhydroxybutyrate and other biopolymers as a basic building block for the construction of micro- and nanoscopic structures and materials used in food and cosmetics. In the theoretical part, current literary review is prepared to introduce the basics of this application field. The practical part of the work is composed of three blocks developed during the doctoral study. In the first and most important part are summarized comments to the academic and patent outputs, where among the academic ones it is possible to find two peer-reviewed articles dealing with the electrostatic and wet spinning of PHB and properties of prepared materials. The patent outputs consist of several accepted and applied projects, which summarize results on both PHB spinning methods, but also on general approaches enabling the processing of PHB into forms enabling many applications in food and cosmetics. Second part was focused on the patented composition of the UV protection cream based on the prepared nanoscopic and micro- morphologies of PHB. The third block summarizes results focused predominantly on the electrostatic spinning of PHB and other biopolymers. Finally, a short chapter containing a brief description of projects that were in a way related to the dissertation topic, but rather practical development work in Central Tanzania and West Africa, which draw on knowledge and contacts gained during studies at FCH BUT Brno.

The use of biochar as a sorption material for the removal of synthetic fragrances from water
Kašparová, Jarmila ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Mravcová, Ludmila (advisor)
Synthetic fragrances (musk) are artificially produced organic compounds. It is used as fragrance ingredient in personal care products. Substances from this group have the ability to withstand the cleaning process in wastewater treatment plants. The physico-chemical properties of musk compounds cause their accumulation in the living and non-living components of the ecosystem, where they behave as persistent pollutants. The adsorption process is considered to be one of the most widely used separation and purification processes. The adsorption processes of a solution of sixteen synthetic fragrances took place with biochar and activated carbon. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) was used as a method for extracting analytes. Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was applied for final analysis, time of flight analyzer was used as detector. The data were fitted with adsorption isotherms.
