Design of a wing model for flutter testing
Zíka, Jakub ; Šplíchal, Jan (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the design of a wing model for testing the dynamic aeroelastic phenomenon of flutter. The first two chapters of the thesis present theoretical introduction to aeroelastic phenomena and scaling relationships. The third part describes the whole model designing process based on similitude requirements to a real wing. Bending and torsional stiffness along with mass distribution are the most important wing properties where similitude should be attained.

The design of the gallery for the city of Litomysl was accompanied by own choosing of the plot. It was based on analysis and exploration of the city. Gallery is situated in the heart of the city, and lies on the axis of important view from the square. It reacts on it by its mass and even by the way in the form of passage, which goes through the gallery. This way connects two height levels, between which is building standing in.
Legal regulation of the status of private persons in space law
Zíka, Tadeáš ; Ondřej, Jan (advisor) ; Pelikánová Urbanová, Kristýna (referee)
Legal regulation of the status of private persons in space law Abstract This thesis deals with the issue of regulation of rights and obligations of private persons in space law. It aims to determine to what extent public space international law addresses private persons, what obligations international treaties impose on private persons and how states adapt them into their national legal systems. The first chapter of the thesis presents the historical background against which space law has developed and which has had a significant impact on its current form. Subsequently, space law is defined, placed in the context of public international law and compared with the most similar legal regimes - the law of the sea, the law of the airspace and the Antarctic treaty system. The second chapter focuses on introducing the various space treaties that form the core of international space law. These treaties are the Outer Space Treaty, the Rescue Agreement, the Liability Convention, the Registration Convention and the Moon Agreement. In addition to a general introduction, the thesis focuses in particular on those provisions from which implications for the activities of private parties can be inferred. The chapter also introduces key international governmental and non-governmental organizations active in the field of...
Cognitive errors in mass media communication
Zíka, Vojtěch ; Křeček, Jan (advisor) ; Hladík, Radim (referee)
This work is based on an assumption that human decision-making process is following several approximate rules (heuristics) that causes predictable and systematic errors in judgement (cognitive biases). Although this stand point is typical for fields like behavioural economics or behavioural law and economics, there is no reason to not apply this logic also on other discipline like a mass media communication studies. This work offers an analysis of the information market where supply side is represented by producers of information (e.g. media organizations) and demand side is represented by consumers of those information (audience). The analysis is focused on factors that cause perceived description of a particular event can vastly differ from this event. One of those cognitive biases which cause different perception of the same media content is called hostile media effect. In respect to this effect, sympathizers with a socially controversial topic tend to perceive information in the mass media as hostile to their own opinion. Previous research concluded that hostile perception is mainly caused by a reach of information which is explained by the selective categorization - although individuals with different worldview can see the same content, they perceive it with a different valence. The valence of the...
Distributed order management for restaurants
Zíka, Jakub ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Horký, Vojtěch (referee)
Order management software is vital to restaurants and other order-based businesses to keep track of their finances and the demands of their custo- mers. Many such products are available in the Czech market; however, it is often difficult to modify these existing solutions or interface them with new or different systems. In this thesis, we design and implement a new order management system called EasyPub. EasyPub works on GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems, and allows external programs to ac- cess information stored within the system through an open communication protocol. Its creation is beneficial and contributes to innovation in the area of restaurant software. 1

Development of HPLC method for analysis of food supplements based on berberine extract
Zíka, Jan ; Šatínský, Dalibor (advisor) ; Khalikova, Maria (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Jan Zíka Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Dalibor Šatínský, Ph.D. Title of the diploma thesis: Development of HPLC method for analysis of food supplements based on berberine extract In this diploma thesis, an HPLC method for the determination of berberine and its related isoquinoline alkaloids aromoline, berbamine, magnoflorine, tetrahydropalmatine, jatrorrhizine, palmatine, tetrahydroberberine and oxyberberine was developed and validated. The method was subsequently applied to the determination of the relevant analytes in the food supplements Allnature Berberin 98% extract, Ostrovit Berberin, Swanson Berberin and GreenFood Berberine. An Ascentis® Express AQ-C18 (150 x 4.6 mm, particle size 2.7 µm) analytical column was used for chromatography analysis, using an acetonitrile/0.085% aqueous solution of phosphoric acid mobile phase. The flow rate of mobile phase was 1 ml/min with a sample injection volume of 5 µl and a column temperature of 30 řC. The gradient elution was used for analysis and detection was performed with a DAD detector at wavelengths of 225 and 345 nm. Key words: HPLC, berberine, aromoline, magnoflorine, berbamine, palmatine, tetrahydropalmatine, jatrorrhizine, tetrahydroberberine,...
