Hierarchy of Needs in a Selected Age Group of Paraplegic Patients
ŠVARCOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to map the hierarchy of needs in patients with paraplegia. In connection with this goal, four research questions were created: "How has the hierarchy of needs changed before and after paraplegia?"; "What needs are a priority for a patient with paraplegia?"; "What is the difficulty of meeting the needs of patients with paraplegia in nursing?"; "What needs are best met by patients with paraplegia - from the point of view of nursing staff?" The work is limited to two parts - the theoretical part, in which I focus on definition of the theoretical basis, on which our research is based, and the empirical part. The empirical part of this work was processed with the help of a qualitative research survey, which was carried out with the help of a semi-structured interview. The basis for the interview with patients with paraplegia (attachment 1) consisted of 31 questions, the basis for the interview with nurses (attachment 2) consisted od 27 questions. The questions hava been expanded with additional sub-quastions, if neccesery. The individual questions focused on of the needs of the patient both from the perspective of the patient himself and from the pespective of the nurses who work with patients with paraplegia. The questions further focused on physiological needs, the needs of safety and security, the need for love, acceptance and belonging, the need for recognition and respect, and the need for self-realization. The research group consisted of 5 patients with paraplegia and 6 nurses who work with patients with paraplegia. Individual interviews were furthere processed by the method of open coding, the "pencil-paper" technique. The resuslts of the research survey are classified into categories and subcategories for better clarity. Patients with paraplegia, as well as nurses who work with patinets with paraplegia, have their own categories and subcategories. These individual categories describe the needs of paraplegic patients, both from the perspective of the patient himself and the nurses, who work with patients with paraplegia in the broadest possible context. The results map of needs of a patient with paraplegia. A pyramid of needs is created, which each patient has assembled himself, and a pyramide of needs, which has been assembled by the nurses, according to how the nurses see the needs of the patient withparaplegia. As a result, each patient has a slightly different pyramid structure, but the same is true for everyone that their entire lives have changed the most, they have become dependent on others and have limited self-sufficiency. The results of the work can serve as a basis for further possible studies in this field.
Elementary school pupilsś preparation for the secondary school enterance examination
Švarcová, Michaela ; Šmejkalová, Martina (advisor) ; Pišlová, Simona (referee)
In this thesis we have tried to analyse 35 different tests, which make our entrance examination specimen sets for Year 5, 7 and 9. Some schools use the services of the 'Scio' company thus these tasks represent 52 written examinations from the subject of Czech language and literature. According to our findings the main emphasis of the tests is put on the lingual parts of the curriculum, especially on orthography. The applicants distinguish the sentences, in which there are (or are not) orthographic errors. They proof to have managed the lexical, morphological and syntactic orthography in simple and complex sentences well, primarily by correction and doing filling-in exercises. Apart from that, the tasks where the applicants have to work with text are used very often. They primarily decide whether the information given results from the particular passage, they examine the verity of the submitted statements about an article, etc. From the linguistic curriculum, the word class and the sentence constituents occur abundantly. Very often the applicant's competence regarding grammatically correct word forms are being tested - the pupils might create or recognize them or complete a part of the text. In many tests, we can find tasks in which the applicants search for synonyms (or antonyms) of Czech originated or...
Employee Resource Groups As a Tool For Achieving LGBT Equality In Corporate Environment
Švarcová, Michaela ; Kobová, Ĺubica (advisor) ; Pavlík, Petr (referee)
Employee Resource Groups (ERG) are groups of employees based on a shared identity, background, experience or interests, which are also formally established or supported by the company's management. Although their form and activities vary, their main goal is usually to support the voice of the group within the company, as well as education, awareness or counseling. Employee Resource Groups, as one of the tools of diversity management in companies, have existed in Western countries since the 1960s, yet they are a relatively new trend in the Czech environment, as they have only appeared in local corporations in the last decade. In my thesis, therefore, through semi-structured interviews, I analyze how members of seven ERGs aimed at supporting LGBT workers understand the organizational form of these groups and how they construct their importance for achieving LGBT equality. Keywords: Employee Resource Groups, employee networks, diversity management, LGBT, work.

The Role and Learning of Women at Work: a Critical view
Švarcová, Michaela ; Kopecký, Martin (advisor) ; Šerák, Michal (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyse various critical theoretical approaches towards women's role and learning at work. My research focuses on education-related gender inequalities at work and in relation to working conditions. This topic is then put into the context of critical approaches and theories. The aspects explored are the feminist views on the subject which differ according to individual movements, as well as the ongoing transformation of work; in this regard, the research deals with concrete phenomena, such as individualization and unequal distribution of social risks, and explores the way they are seen in terms of individual critical approaches. The thesis also describes and analyses the work of Iris Marion Young. An American socialist feminist, Young is the author of the theory of justice. Last but not least, the thesis examines how work, experience and learning are conceptualised in contemporary critical-oriented andragogical research in the area of gender-related issues at work.
Epidemiology of selected zoophilic dermatophytes
Žárová, Štěpánka ; Čmoková, Adéla (advisor) ; Švarcová, Michaela (referee)
This bachelor thesis specializes on the epidemiology of skin infections caused by so called zoophilic dermatophytes, phylogenetically related species of pathogenic fungi of the order Onygenales (Ascomycota, Pezizomycotina) that have their reservoir in animals and are often transmitted to human. The first part of the thesis deals with the evolution and current state of the taxonomy of dermatophytes with special focus on the zoophilic species. The main part concentrates on five selected species, the description of their host spectra, population structure, clinical manifestation of infection, and changes in distribution among human patients in Europe. In this region the spectrum of the zoophilic dermatophytes has changed markedly since the 1950s. Especially apparent is a decline in the incidence of the species Trichophyton verrucosum after the implementation of vaccination in cattle. The rise of the species T. erinacei and T. benhamiae probably relates to the increasing popularity of pet hedgehogs and guinea pigs or to a newly introduced strain. Interesting is the high incidence of the species Microsporum canis in the Mediterranean and Russia. Thanks to the comprehensive approach including many epidemiological studies and current view on the taxonomy this thesis may form a valuable base for...
Accounting operations in a holding group
ŠVARCOVÁ, Michaela
This master thesis is focused on accounting operations in a group according to Czech and international accounting legislation and on how to report individual elements in consolidated financial statements. It also includes explanation of terms in the field of consolidated financial statements such as consolidation methods, parent entity, subsidiary, and intercorporate transactions in a group according to Czech and international legislation. These theoretical concepts are applied on an existing group which is a group consisting of a parent entity and three subsidiaries and its consolidated financial statements in an accounting period from 1st January 2016 to 31st December 2016. Operations among the parent entity and the subsidiaries and their effect on consolidated financial statements are also described. Therefor this thesis includes a draft of consolidation rules and examples of other transactions which may occur among a group and their effect on consolidated financial statements but did not occur in an examined group. Results of this thesis summarize reasons and methods of consolidation in an examined group, transactions which may have an impact on consolidated financial statements and how these transactions originate. Examined parent entity does not create any consolidation rules, it neither has any methodology of identifying operations with an impact on consolidated financial statements. The parent entity does not inform users of the consolidated financial statements about identifying operations among the group, the reasons of their existence and the reasons of their elimination in consolidated financial statements. However, the parent entity prepares and presents the consolidated financial statements according to valid legislation. Based on gained information, the parent entity prepares the consolidated financial statements only for the legislative purposes, it has no use for the parent entity itself, neither for the subsidiaries.
