Ethical aspects of additional changes of news in online media
Palkosková, Lucie ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Štoll, Martin (referee)
In the era of new media, changes occur every day to already published articles on internet news sites. Although these are usually minor stylistic or spelling changes, more dramatic ones, those that can alter perception of events by the audience and change cover of story, could appear. The fact that the edit took place, is usually marked only by small notification about update, without the possibility to access previous versions, which can lead to misinformation of readers. The aim of this paper is to explore how additional changes may affect credibility of news media in eyes of audience, frequency of changes by authors and if those interventions do not conflict with journalistic ethics, especially in area of providing accurate and truthful information. This paper also tries to propose ethical and reader friendly way how to make such changes and how to inform audience about them. The paper used data collected during long-term automated collection of content changes in news stories published by selected major Czech online news websites, allowing objective assessment of the frequency and severity of this phenomenon.

Röhryová, Lenka ; Janský, Petr (advisor) ; Pěkná, Martina (referee)
The thesis aims to analyze distributional impacts of meal voucher sys- tem in the Czech Republic, especially in the context of income inequality between different income groups. In the first part, we study the features of the Czech meal voucher scheme, relevant legislative framework and offer a comparison of the Czech meal voucher system with other European coun- tries. In the second part, we perform an analysis of the redistributive effects of meal allowances on various income deciles, quantify the impact of meal allowances tax exemption on the government budget and simulate replace- ment of current meal allowances by flat meal allowances according to several scenarios. Based on our analysis, the meal allowances tax relief represents burden of 11.3 bn Kč for the state budget. Our findings suggest that current form of meal allowances widens the income gap between beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, within as well as across the income deciles. The affluent households receive meal allowances more frequently, and moreover, nomin- ally and proportionately higher. We believe a replacement of current meal allowances scheme by one with a flat meal allowances (using the constant budget) would promote income equality. Then, the lower deciles would be- nefit, due to higher share of individuals entitled to the meal...

Its main goal is to analyse the influence of the international aspects on the activities of the West German terrorist groups in this period. The thesis focuses mainly on the Red Army Faction as the most important representative of the movement in question, however, it also includes other formations that are important from the international point of view: the Revolutionary Cells and the Movement 2 June. The theoretical background of the thesis is provided by the Wave Theory of modern terrorism by David C. Rapoport and the Revised Academic Consensus Definition of Terrorism by Alex Schmid. The international aspects are divided into three sub-chapters: ideology, international cooperation, and strategy and tactics.
