Získalová, Zuzana ; Štech, Stanislav (advisor) ; Kučerová, Olga (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis on the Use of Crisis Intervention by School Psychologists is to map out how school psychologists work with crisis intervention and what specifics CI can bring to a school environment. In our research, we ask five questions to explore how school psychologists define crisis, how often they work with crisis, what factors may influence this frequency, what specific techniques school psychologists use when working with crisis, and what helps them to manage these situations. A qualitative research study was conducted to address the stated goal. It includes ten semi-structured interviews and one pilot interview. The interviewees were school psychologists from elementary schools, high schools, college and secondary vocational schools. Respondents were selected in order to obtain as diverse sample as possible, taking into account the size of the school, the region in which it was located, and respondents' experience. Three main themes and four sub-themes emerged from the thematic analysis. Possible links between the categories were then explored. A number of crisis intervention's characteristics of crisis intervention in schools are identified in the research. Given the number of these, the term "school crisis intervention" is developed. It is defined as a separate discipline based...

Cieslar, Jan ; Dupáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Seknička, Pavel (referee)
Assessing the criminal origin of the financial crisis Abstract The diploma thesis dealt with white-collar crime in the financial environment. The aim was to find out to what extent the financial crisis in 2007-2008 was the result of the economic cycle and to what extent it was the result of criminal practices. To this end, we analyze the theoretical perspective of white-collar crime from the perspective of the individual and the corporation. We denote criminogenic factors and models in the structure, strategy and culture of corporations. We examine individuals from a psychological and demographic point of view. We apply this knowledge to the scandal of Enron Corporation, as a paradigmatic case of economic crime that caused extensive damage but did not lead to a financial crisis. Further we are examining documented dubious practices leading to the collapse of financial markets in 2008. A minimum of convictions could indicate that the crisis did not originate in illegal practices. However, such a conclusion would be misleading. In this research work we present a number of reasons why the prosecution of white-collar crime is difficult and is often abandoned. However, the behavior of corporations and their representatives often shows the features described in criminology textbooks. The system, which began to...
Europeanisation of Czech, Polish, and SLovak media in the context of three crises
Rosenfeldová, Jana ; Vochocová, Lenka (advisor) ; Gregor, Miloš (referee) ; Havlík, Vlastimil (referee)
The dissertation focuses on the level and form of Europeanisation of Czech, Polish and Slovak media in the intense phases of three crises - the migration crisis, the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The theoretical starting points of the thesis are the theories of the public sphere. Its functional variant is considered in the context of the "European communication space" as a means or a necessary condition for eliminating various deficits of the European Union, especially the democratic deficit. Of the various approaches to conceptualizing the European public sphere, the research in this thesis adopts a Europeanization approach, through the lens of which the European public sphere is seen as a network of national public spheres that are increasingly "Europeanized", and which relies on individual national media in its empirical efforts to detect the European public sphere. A parallel quantitative and qualitative content analysis of the content published on Facebook by six Czech, Polish and Slovak mainstream media outlets in the early stages of each crisis identifies different levels of Europeanisation across crises, reflecting the different levels of competences that the EU possessed in each of them. At the same time, it shows that EU issues and actors have managed to gain a foothold...

Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz
Doležel, Martin ; Sochor, Jan (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
THE GARDEN IN A CRISIS The first problem. Moving the entrance from the rotunda axis in the north to the area where the farmyard surrounded by greenhouses is situated. The consequence of this step was destruction of the conception of a floral garden and further, confusion of a visitor caused by the new and excentric garden entrance. The second problem. The original noble fill of the forefield has been perfectly cleaned, including the structure. Therefore the courtyard of honour is wedged in the two huge unspecific areas. The third problem. The nineteenth century is gone. Nowadays visitor is hard to please and unconcentrated. THE CONCEPTION Revitalisation and amendment of the forefield structure concept in subareas is both practical and it offers the esthetic quality which was lost. In relation to the axis of the garden, the area is adversely divided by some new buildings. These functional stripes make the optical barriers and they are clear in their axis. There are minimaly two six smaller areas created out of two bigger ones. Moving the main entrance from the courtyard to the rotunda center line means a possibility for the garden to step out towards its future development without some drastic changes in a objects which are part of a monument conservation but not functionally defined any more. The more, the garden gets its lost axiality, sense and a story about men's journey again. The application of the principles of the baroque garden in filling of the forefield gardens is either wrong or not considered properly. Polarized (and polar) gardens offer extreme positions of two contradictory trends. A superframed garden made by the nowadays technology versus a grove of wisdom where the nature is both a constructor and an architect. All of this with a baroque garden somewhere in its centre.
