Motherhood as the breaking point in the life of a young Roma mother

The aim of this thesis is to look into the lives of young mothers of Roma nationality and to get better understanding of influences that affect them and their adoption and perception of their maternal role. The choice of this theme is based on experience with previous working with Roma families. For the research, it has been chosen five mothers aged under 25 years, with whom were conducted unstructured interviews. In the theoretical part, there is a discussion about motherhood in general and later about its specifics in the Roma community. The greatest emphasis is taken on the receiving parent role. Firstly, the empirical part is a discourse about the choosen method - grounded theory. Then there is detailed description of data processing and data analysis. The following chapters are devoted initially to environmental influences to motherhood and later to the concrete experience of the respondents. The experience of motherhood is viewed from several angles - the time horizon (from conception to birth and the first reaction to child) and the importance of her baby to the mother, especially in terms of commitment and in the context of plans and wishes. Importance of family life and a healthy family-work balance

This bachelor thesis considers the importance of a family and the question of harmonization of family and work life.It defines a family and work as very significant parts of a human life and points at some main attitudes towards the issues of putting family life and work together. Some transformations in terms of the relationship between a family and work in the past are suggested. There are also stated some basic measures of the state, which support a family. This thesis also considers the position of women in the labour market, the competence of the state and employers in the matter of women returning to work after parental leave. The most common methods of taking care of children younger than three years are also shown.There is a conception of Homeworking introduced as an alternative in the matter of harmonization of family and work life.

Compatibility of opinions on parenting in couples

The aim of this study is to compare views on parenting of partners (from a gender perspective) in families caring for children. Changes in women's position in society, their increasing financial contribution to the family budget and therefore economic background influence the opinions about the overall organization of family life, which is reflected in the actual division of parental roles and associated responsibilities. Although the paper focuses primarily on the opinions and ideas about parenting, I did not fail to devote some space also their subsequent practice. Close interaction of people who share a household and raising children, can result in blindness, which in turn creates the feeling of certain conformity of opinion. Parents can sometimes mistakenly believe that their views on parenthood are shared by their partners. In the research I have included ten couples raising two or more children. For the chosen method of semi-structured interviews, I selected respondents from my circle of acquaintances. The choice was quite deliberate, as with many of them I knew for a long time. Determination of Parenthood - Alexandra Hrušáková Abstract In my thesis "Determination of Parenthood", I focused on the largest area of family law. Everyone's life is influenced by his family the whole life. And there are many consequences connected to the relation between a child and his parents. My topic responds lively to the changes brought by current scientific and technical progress and dynamic development and metamorphoses in our society. I tried to describe it in a complex way, but in order to put accent on the most important segments of this problem. From the times of ancient Rome there exists the principle "mater semper certa est, pater incertus", which means that the identity of the mother is always certain, but the father isn't. However there exist some situations in which the principle could not be so clear. These situations created objective of this thesis. This thesis is divided into ten chapters. Concept of parenthood by university students

The bachelor thesis tries to map opinions, attitudes and values of current University students. The main purpose of this work is to find out how University students understand the topic of parenthood. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with research and knowledge about current family and it's transformations after the year 1989. Also covers how far is family accepted and supported by contemporary society; also examine how is family affected by economic changes, how the interpersonal relations changed and what value has the child for today's family. The next section of the theoretical part deals with the topic parenthood. Parenthood is debated from the point of view of the parents as well from point of view of the child. Parenthood is also viewed in a historical context, whereby change must always be taken into consideration. There is mentioned arrival of contraception and thanks to it also the arrival of possibility to separate sexual and reproductive life which have changed the relationship to parenthood significantly. Impact of parent's visual impairment on socialisation of intact child

This master thesis pursues social developement of intact child raised by the parents with visual impairment. It is specifically aimed at the development communication skills of this child. Childhood education by the parents with visual impairment presents certain specifics, which are manifested on the development of the komunikacni competence of the child. By the persons with visual impairment it is common to encounter enadequate mimic expresion and the absence of gestures. Child adopts the communication according to the model of her parents. But over time, its communication expressions become more and more related to the surrounding society. Considerable role in this process represent the encounters with intact persons, which deliver different non-verbal feedback. On the other side parents with visual impairment stimulate their children to the verbal communication and this verbal communication can become significantly more developed than that of their peers. Parenthood as the legal problem

The aim of the thesis is to define content of various aspects of parenthood as they are currently perceived and treated in the legal order of the Czech Republic. The theme is reflected in the work with regard to its historical legal developments, including the reflection of the current Czech legislation. Mentioned is also legislation in terms of international law. It often represents the direction of Czech legislation. The main idea of the domestic legislation parenthood child's interest and the protection of basic human rights. The child is seen as a specific body of legal rules with all its peculiarities and increased need for legal protection with regard to their position in society. For contemporary society, which is child-centered, that is child-centered, are issues related to the rights of the child and his relevant status and position is important to be dealt with in relation to the child as possible and thoroughly as possible.
