Title: Effect of individual intervention programme on selected components of health- related fitness to proband without previous movement experience Objective: The main objective of the thesis is physical analysis and diagnosis of individual, individual intervention program creation and subsequent assessment of whether and how personally leaded program can affect selected components of health-related fitness to proband without any previous experience. Methods: For the needs of this thesis several types of measurements were used. Body composition using bioelectrical impedance analysis, postural stability - posturograph, laboratory stress test on a treadmill, terrain stress test on the athletics track, the basic movement patterns using diagnostic according to Janda, as a complementary test was chosen dynamometer to determine the strength of forearm muscles. Results: During the 16-week intervention changes occurred in many of the parameters. Individual intervention program has brought significant changes in body composition, specifically to reduce the ratio of ECM/BCM in the early phase of the program, but later was its exacerbation. Generally, the trend showed improvement in postural stability due to the generally realized PA. The intervention program did not demonstrate significant changes in...

Title: Attitudes and opinions of the adolescents at the age of 15 - 18 to the sport and movement activities Objectives: The establishment and comparaison of the opinions and attitudes to movement activities and sport in teenagers was the main objective of this thesis. PASA questionnaire focused on15 - 18 years old secondary schools students was applied. Methods: A method of the written interviewing using PASA questionnaire was used. This questionnaire was widespread some 15 years ago, yet we made a pre- testing sample and some questions were modified. By means of the PASA questionnaire we asked about opinions and attitudes of the adolescents concerning the movement acitivities and sport in light of the psycho-social, real movement and sport activities, of the exploitation of the available physical education and sport facilities etc. The research was effected at selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Results: The obtained data were statistically processed and the results are presented in the aggregate tables stating the statistically significant differencies between sex, age groups. A part of the thesis is the comparaison of our result with a research carried out in 2000 (Slepička et. al., 2001). Key words: adolescent, physical activity, sports, interviews, secondary school

Topic: Intervention Program for Weight Reduction in Adults Goals: The aim of this thesis is to devise as well as implement an intervention program covering exercise and dietary regimes for individuals that are overweight or obese. The goal also involves verifying the effectiveness by measuring various anthropometric parameters. Methods: The monitoring activities covered the period from 2.2. 2015 until 3.8. 2015. The intervention sample involved 9 individuals aged between 26 and 59. The sample was composed of three women and six men. The intervention program lasted for three weeks and I measured the weight using a normal personal weight and the waist circumference using a measuring tape. Results: The intervention program had a positive impact on the individuals that were involved. This resulted in decreased weight and a reduction in the weight circumference. The average loss of weight was 2.1 kg and the average waist circumference reduction was 2.4 cm. Thanks to the intervention program, the monitored anthropometric values were reduced. However, it also lead to the people achieving a better relationship towards physical activity and increased their awareness of the principles of a healthy diet. The possibilities of physical exercise in relation to the metabolism after spinal cord injury
Olišarová, Eva ; Hlinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kříž, Jiří (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the information about the possibilities of the physical exercise in individuals with the spinal cord injury. The work presents various types of the physical activity and describes their effect on metabolism and body composition. It also includes the information about the frequency, the duration and the intensity of exercise. The interruption of the somatomotor and somatosensory pathways in patients with spinal cord injury leads to the reduction of their physical activity. As a consequence of that, their metabolic profile and body composition get worse. Early after the injury, the patients suffer from the massive muscle atrophy and the rise of the amount of adipose tissue. These changes have a negative effect on metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates. It results in the development of dyslipidaemia and insulin resistance, sometimes even in type 2 diabetes mellitus. These secondary complications worsen the quality and the length of life of the patients with the spinal cord injury. Better understanding of these issues is necessary to improve the quality of health care for these people. The work includes a short questionnaire. Its goal is to describe the current situation of patients with the spinal cord injury in the Czech Republic. The questionnaire was...
Physical Activity and Nutrition in Therapy of Metabolic Syndrome
Joachimová, Marie ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Illinger, Vojtěch (referee)
INTRODUCTION: Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors which tend to occur together and belong to the main causes of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. In the treatment of metabolic syndrome dominates pharmacotherapy of the individual components. However, this therapy usually addresses the consequences rather than the causes and puts the patient in the position of a passive recipient of drugs. Although a change of lifestyle should be the cornerstone of prevention and treatment of the metabolic syndrome, the vast majority of the general and professional public doesn't know how and to what extent it can help. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to find recommendations on physical activity and nutrition in relation to the prevention and treatment of metabolic syndrome and the mechanisms of action. METHODS: Information was sought in scientific journals, books and websites of healthcare organizations. Review articles and meta-analysis were selected primarily from the journals, general information and recommendations related to the issues discussed were obtained from the books and websites. RESULTS: The available literature confirmed that the modification of physical activity and nutrition can significantly improve all of the metabolic abnormalities associated with metabolic...
Effect of reducing the three-month program of physical activity on body composition and weight change.
Dyrcová, Martina ; Matoulek, Martin (advisor) ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis is dealing with the effect of the three-month reduction program with physical activity on body composition and changes in body weight of each participant in the program. To reduce weight and reach health benefit means especially to reduce single components of body fat. The goal was to find out what changes in body composition and body weight have been done, analyze it and evaluate the success rate of this program. The three month reduction programmes took place in a recondition centre VŠTJ Medicina Praha, o.s. The results of the research were compared and evaluated on the basis of input and output measuring by a bioimpedance device InBody. The evaluated components were: body weight, BMI, waistline, muscle mass, lean body mass, total body water and the amount of work-out hours in the recondition centre. Program duration was also considered. From the total number of 60 participants (11 men and 49 women), 42 successfully finished the program (7 men and 35 women). Statistically significant differences have been found in the input and output of body weight, BMI, waistline and amount of body fat. Each mentioned parameter has been decreased. The other parameters have not been significantly changed. The effectiveness of the three month reduction program is noticeable especially in increasing...

An exercise routine of parents and their children
Radina, Marek ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Sýkora, Karel (referee)
Title: An exercise routine of parents and their children Objectives: The principal aim of this thesis is to observe an exercise routine of parents and their children. The theoretical part attempts to define the concept of an exercise routine, and to list the highest number of possible connections and variables which can limit it. The empirical part addresses the question of how much of parents'/children's time is occupied by physical activities, how parents and their attitude towards sport influence that of their children, and so on. Methods: The theoretical part uses the method of analysis, which is applied to data collection and to the definition of an exercise routine and of other related concepts. The empirical part of the thesis uses the method of written questioning in the form of two opinion polls−one for parents and the other for their children. Results: The thesis mostly affirmed the hypothesis that "physically-active parents raise physically-active children." Other gathered facts reflect for instance the following: children spend much time doing physical activities than their parents, a significant majority of families with children participate in collective physical activities (e.g. cycling or skiing), and a child from a sporty family does not necessarily have to follow one of their...

BAKALÁŘSKÉ PRÁCE V AJ Author: Anna Yevnevich Supervisor: MUDr. Karla Kotková Opponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Pain and possibilities of physiotherapy influence. Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with pain in the elderly and possibilities of physiotherapy influence on it. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is to summarize theoretical information about pain, its treatment and to compare the effect of two therapeutic systems of physical activity (sokol and tai-chi exercises), what will determine the physiotherapy influence on pain of elderly people. The theoretical part includes description of the pain, its classification, physiology and various methods of its treatment. I also described old age and physiological changes of the organism that related to it. The practical part deals with settled objectives, detecting and comparing the effects of two therapeutic systems of exercising. I used a semistructured interview to collect data, that were compiled into synaptic charts. After the data were collected for my research, the results have been analyzed and evaluated. And for my conclusion, I have noted the positive impact of both therapeutic approaches on pain. Key words: pain, physiotherapy, senior, health, healthy lifestyle, movement, tai-chi chuan,...
