Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic

Title: Further education of teachers teaching physical education at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic Objectives: One of the aims of this diploma thesis was to analyse the current offer of accredited educational events DVPP (further education of educational workers) in the field of physical education. We were interested in data concerning the form and focus of events, hourly subsidy, number of expected participants, and participation fee. Another aim of this thesis was to find out what attitude teachers of physical education have in relation to their further continuous education. Among other things, we were interested in how often they participate in this education and what forms of educational events they find most suitable regarding the subject of physical education. Methods: In the first phase, the data obtained from the databases of granted accreditations in the DVPP system managed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, were analysed. The data in the next part were obtained using an own questionnaire survey, which elementary and high school teachers of physical education have participated in. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of further education of teachers in the field of digital competencies from the perspective of educational management. This subject was chosen not only of its topicality, but also due to the strategic dimension of further education of teachers and their digital skills, which reflect the key documents of MŠMT. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on theses related to educational management, further education of teachers and ends with a chapter dealing with digital competencies. The research part of the diploma thesis pays attention to the offer and demand of further education of teachers and the reflection of digital competencies of teachers through qualitative research and data analysis. Specifically, the research survey consists of semi- structured interviews conducted with primary school teachers in the capital city of Prague, analysis of data from the Teacher's digital competences framework and analysis of selected websites collecting the offer of further education of teachers. The content of the dissertation work is the professional characteristics of a prominent Czech music educator Prof. PhDr. Eva Jenčková, CSc. It introduces the breadth of her scientific, pedagogical and musical organizational activities, and characterizes the main areas of her professional interest. It focuses on music education didactics at all levels of schooling, the enrichment of music repertoire including methodological arrangements, music for children in context of theoretical, interpretative, and music pedagogy aspects. It also outlines the optimal preparation of music education students and further education of music teachers, implemented in our country and abroad in a form of creative music workshops. One of the main subjects of her publications is movement in music education. Based on the content analysis of Eva Jenckova's complex music pedagogy work and the assessments of other education professionals, this publication presents the characteristics of her multi layered personality and her professional mastery. Proposal for optimalization of organization of teaching staff education to the state graduation examx in Prague and Central Bohemia.

1 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with the educational management of the teaching staff supervising the state graduation exams. The theoretical part explains the concept of educational management and focuses in detail on the managerial function of organization. It describes the current form of the state graduation exams, related legislation and institutions involved. The thesis explains the staffing of graduation exams and individual training programs for teachers, and clarifies the role of further education of teachers. The aim of the work is to optimize the organization surrounding the education of teachers supervising the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia. The data in the presented research were collected via a survey among participants of the education related to the state graduation exams in Prague and Central Bohemia in the school year of 2015/2016 and interviews with lecturers of relevant training programs. Effect of the style of school principal leadership on work performance management and development of teaching staff

The diploma thesis deals with the management styles of directors of educational institutions in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to analyze the influence of the school principal's management style on the teaching staff in a connection with the management of work performance and the development of pedagogical staff. The first part of the thesis deals with and describes the theoretical background. It defines the basic concepts of general management, people management and specifies all for the school environment. It presents knowledge about leadership styles, about work performance, which is specified for work performance management in non-profit organizations. Another presented aspect of the leader's work is the professional development of employees, which in the field of education is represented by the school principal through a compulsory further education of pedagogical staff - in service. The second part of the thesis presents a questionnaire of sociologist Professor Dr Philip Hallinger entitled - The Principal Instructional Management Rating Scale, abbreviated PIMRS, which the author of thesis translated and tested in the environment of Czech schools. Secondary School Self-Evaluation in Terms of In-Service Training for Employees

The diploma thesis comprehensively introduces the issue of in-service training of pedagogical staff with a focus on secondary school teachers as one of the areas of school self-evaluation. In-service teacher training comes to the fore as it goes hand in hand with the quality of training. In its first part, it identifies the basic definitions needed to understand the topic of school self- evaliation and in-service teacher training, then it defines the legislative framework ensuring in- service teacher training, strategic documents and other plans. Last but not least, it defines the objectives and forms of in-service teacher training and briefly outlines the situation in Europe with a focus on international surveys. Using content analysis, the thesis evaluates three annual reports of the selected secondary school. Furthermore, standardized structured interview was held with the school management and also a standardized questionnaire is distributed among pedagogical staff of the selected secondary school.
