Bibliotherapy as a tool to develop the communication skills of pupils with mild intellectual disability

Diploma Work Bibliotherapy as a tool of developing communication skills pupils with mild intellectual disabilities deals with opportunity of using bibliotherapy and its elements within Czech langage lessons. The educator by the means of appropriate reading materials affects the verbal expression advancement of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The aims to develop suitable exercises and arrange them into a bibliotherapy program, to show the beneficial effect that working with texts can have on the pupils' communicative competence, and to make certain that the program operates as expected, through working directly with the pupils, observing them and evaluating the different outputs of the program. Outcomes of the research prove pupils' improvements in desired sphere. Usage promotive therapy and stimulation in hospice care

Title of the diploma thesis: Use of promotive therapy and stimulation in hospice care Aim of the thesis: Possible use of promotive therapy and stimulation in therapy of patients in hospice care is discussed in this diploma thesis. The aim of thesis is to compare use these therapies in hospice facilities that provide accommodation for clients or in home hospice care in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and to analyze way of its use in praxis. For purpose of this thesis following promotive therapies and stimulation were selected: music therapy, art therapy, bibliotherapy, basal stimulation and concept Snoezelen. Methods of work: Quantitative and qualitative investigation was used for research. Quantitative investigation in form of questionnaires provided to hospice facilities with accommodation for clients was utilized as a method for data acquisition. Observation of practical promotive therapies processes in hospice facilities with accommodation for clients was included in methodology of qualitative investigation. Results: Research deals with death and dying which is still quite often taboo theme in our conditions. This fact is perceptible in results of research investigation. Abstract: Bachelor's thesis on the topic "Use of Bibliotherapy in Preschool Education" discusses usage of bibliotherapy with the children in the preschool age, who take part in the group of the nursery school. The aim of this thesis is summarization of bibiliotherapy and its forms, so it can available and comprehensible for the public and especially for the teachers in nursery schools. The first part deals with preschool age, with psychological and emotional development of the children. In the second part we can learn about preschool education and about the aims of preschool education. In the thesis there are also mentioned possible problems, that children in this age can deal with. In the third part is summarized bibiliotherapy, the thesis also presents developmental bibliotherapy, that is for the children in the preschool age the most suitable, plus the storytelling therapy. Presented are rules of the bibliotherapeutic programme as well. The result of the thesis is a suggestion of bibliotherapeutic programme for the children in the nursery schools, that can be led by the teachers themselves.
Importance of Truth in Relation Adoptive Parents and the Adopted Child

The fundamental theme is the communication between the adoptive parents and an adopted child especially choosing the appropriate way of telling the truth and right timing of the fact of adoption. This thesis compares the attitudes of psychologists and other professionals, especially social workers with experiences with adoptive parents and adopted children through the casuistries. Another significant theme in this thesis is an identity of the adoptive parents and adopted children. The thesis describes some methods and techniques that find easier way of telling the truth to the child which are contemporaneusly facilitating with the developmental psychology. In detail then I am describing the concrete methods and techniques, especially art psychotherapy, bibliotherapy, autogenous training.
Bibliotherapy with abandoned children

Bachelor thesis "Bibliotherapy with children in children's homes" is about using the bibliotherapy for children in children's homes. The main target is sum up all theoretic information of bibliotherapy and children's home and then makes a suggestion of suitable bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature for children, who live in children's homes. This project should use as a inspiration for specialist and all people, who would like to use bibliotherapy with abandoned children. The secondary target is to determine the availability of literature and materials related to bibliotherapy. The project is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with bibliotherapy, its theory and examples of application in practice in abroad and in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the children's homes and in particular the problems of children, who place there. The final chapter presents a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques, tailored directly to the specific problems of children in children's homes. The result is a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature focused on specific problems of children in children's homes.
Use of bibliotherapy with drug addicted people

This work named 'The use of bibliotherapy in people with drug addiction' deals with bibliotherapy in specific kind of people who are drug addicts. In the work is shown theoretical knowledge of the problems with drug addiction, the issues of bibliotherapy and the experience in usually used techniques of bibliotherapy with the drug-addicted people. The work also contains lists of appropriate literature with the topic of addiction from a different perspective. The main aim of this work is to suggest suitable techniques which can help to drug-addicted people using the bibliotherapy. These techniques are not tested in practice. Bibliotherapy in the environment of public libraries

This thesis aims to introduce the notion of bibliotherapy and its application in public library environment. The text is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the notion of bibliotherapy itself is introduced, together with questions of who is engaged in this field, as well as the effects of reading. There are presented several book titles which belong to bibliotherapeutic literature. The substantial part of the thesis is then built on specific examples of bibliotherapy practiced in public libraries in the Czech Republic, as well as abroad. The practical part features first an interview with Mrs Marcela Kořínková who actively engages in bibliotherapy; second, there is a proposal of implementation of a bibliotherapeutic department in an imaginary public library, and last, there is a research presenting the wide public's awareness of, and interest in the field of bibliotherapy.
Contemporary condition of patient's libraries in hospitals and possibilities of their next development

This diploma thesis deals with the current state of libraries in hospitals for patients and their potential future development. At the beginning deals the work with patient's libraries in historical context. The following part introduces to communication processes in hospitals and bibliotherapy. An integral part of the work are evaluated data collected during the survey among hospital patients. End of the paper offers some solutions and directions in which the library for patients in hospitals could go in the future.
Literature education under the terms of free-time activities at primary schools

The main topic of the presented thesis is to make the reader acquainted with the basic terminology of the free-time issues and to make clear the forms, methods and techniques of the literature-drama education and their possible usage in practice at the leisure education. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the issues of leisure time and with science disciplines that consider free time. In the second chapter the following terms are mentioned: the interest, the game and the leisure activities. These terms are divided with specialization in aesthetic-educational leisure activities. The principal part of the thesis is the third chapter which describes the application of literature and drama education in leisure time. The project method and project types are described in the fourth chapter. The planning, the realization and the evaluation of the project make another part of this chapter. The Appendix I contains the project photo- documentation. The application form of The parents´ permission to publication of children´s photographs is presented in the Appendix II.
