BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Lucie Benešová Supervisor: Ing. Bc. Adéla Slámová Title: Possibilities for the use of physiotherapy approaches in correction of university students' stress postural attitude Subtitle: The comparison of compensatory exercise and apparatus therapy Abstract: This bachelor thesis examines the current issue of overloading young population due to overuse of modern technologies and permanent exposure of non-ergonomic spine positions. The bachelor thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains terms such as posture, postural stabilization and stability. The faulty posture, the cause and the consequences are described in detail. Furthermore, the section summarizes the existing literature on posture diagnostics, ergonomics and prevention. The practical part processes four university student case reports on the subject's posture. The main method of data collection was rating by Klein, Thomas and Mayer. The aim of this study is to compare the effects of compensatory exercise with those of device therapy Upright Go on students with faulty posture. The main finding of this study is that compensatory exercise has a greater positive effect on posture than device therapy. Key words: Posture, muscle dyscoordination, ergonomics, compensatory exercise,...

Compensation of postural dysbalances in blind cyclists
Nedvěd, Jonáš ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Knappová, Věra (referee)
Abstract title: Postural deviations and their compensations of blind cyclist Thesis objective: The objective of this thesis is to create a compensatory motional program for a visually impaired client. Compensatory motional program deals with the positive influence of defective body posture and pain alleviation of relevant muscular areas, particularly in the areas of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Method: The research method is qualitative examinations by usage of pretest and posttest designs. The thesis is conceived as the case report of a 31-year-old patient with acquired handicap. Exercise in fitness center was selected as part of compensatory motional program with the application of stretching, relaxing and work-out exercise. Additionally, hippotherapy was practiced to improve the stability of individual body areas, as well as to generally enhance the body posture. The testing methods for defective body postures by Jaroš and Lomíček, Matthiase; as well as testing method by Janda, were applied for the verification of program effect. The HHT motor test was applied for the verification of hippotherapy. Results: Compensatory motional program positively influenced the body posture of the clients already after three months of exercise. The integral part of hippotherapy was also the influence of...
Influence of specific exercises on bladder fixators of older school-age swimmers
Šaroch, Michal ; Jurák, Daniel (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Objectives: The aim of this thesis is find out the effect of the intervention compensatory exercise on the function of scapula fixators in older school-age swimmers. Methods: This is a one-factor experiment in which the activity of the scapula fixators will be evaluated by Jandas push-up stereotype, Kolars tilt test and swimming breaststroke. The activity was evaluated by 4 evaluators for observing objectivity. After the first initial evaluation, 8 weeks of interventional compensatory exercise will be started, which will include 9 specific exercises for strengthening scapula fixators. At the end of the experiment, the above tests are again performed to evaluate the activity of the blade fixators. Results: The results showed a significant weakening of the scapula fixators in 97. 14% of the tested elderly-school swimmers at the start of the experiment. After 8 weeks of interventional compensatory exercise, focusing on scapula fixators, the weakening was only present in 11. 43% of swimmers. Key words: Swimming, scapula fixators, elderly school age, compensatory exercise

Nowická, Eva ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
Title: Compensatory exercise as a complement to the training schedule for children of younger school age in figure skating Objectives: The main objective of this work is to identify the most frequently occurring muscular dysbalance in the studied group of younger school-age figure skaters. Therefore, in order to find out the fundamental deficiencies, we used simple tests and based on the deficiencies, we created a buffer of compensatory exercises. We will verify the results using the same tests as at the beginning of the initial measurement after the three-month preparatory period. Methods: In my work I used a functional muscular test to assess the flexibility and examination of a physiotherapist with the help of the MFK system. We do not only measure the muscular strength of the main muscle in individual tests, but we also investigate and analyze the performance of the whole movement. Testing was attended by five figure skaters in the younger school age. Results: Initial testing took place at the start of the preparatory period. A 3-month compensation program was then applied and after the test, the probands were again tested to determine the effect. The results of this work are described in the tables. The result of this work is that the most problematic parts were the abdominal, back muscles and...
Postural deviations and muscular dysbalance within ice hockey players in the 2nd ice hockey league of the Czech Republic
Novák, Marek ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor) ; Strnad, Pavel (referee)
Title: Postural deviations and muscular dysbalance within ice hockey players in the 2nd ice hockey league of the Czech Republic Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the effect of a regular three-month targeted compensatory program on the function of the locomotive system among the second league players in the Czech Republic by testing phasic and postural muscles and spinal mobility tests. Methods: The empirical part was processed in quantitative research in the form of an experiment in which PRE and POST tests of phasic and postural muscles and tests of spinal mobility were used. The tests were identical at the beginning and at the end of the research. A set of compensation exercises was also set up. Results: It has been discovered that the resulting muscular dysbalances and postural deviations can be corrected or eventually eliminated by means of a three-month intervention in the form of appropriate compensatory exercises. Key words: postural muscles, phasic muscles, functional muscle tests, spine mobility tests, compensatory exercise
