Occupational initial examination from the perspective of International Classification of Functioning. Disability and Health

The focus of this Bachelor's dissertation is International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and its applicability to occupational therapy initial examination. This dissertation is divided into sections: theoretical and practical. Basic terminology as well as the ICF framework, goals, philosophy, development and the overview of its components can be found in theoretical section. Moreover, it describes the links between rehabilitation, occupational therapy and the ICF. The end of the theoretical part gives information about occupational therapy examination. Practical section explores possible use of the ICF in occupational therapy initial examination. The main goal of practical part is to create an occupational therapy initial examination form based on the ICF and to apply it on patients. This form ought to be practically used by The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague and General University Hospital in Prague.
Grips training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques

The bachelor thesis called Grips Training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques is divided into two parts - the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with an introduction to the occupational therapy and music therapy, the music therapy techniques and their use in occupational therapy, upper extremity (discusses its importance, types and stages of handles) and basic information to the central paresis. The practical part processed 2 case reports of patients with quadriplegia after spinal injuries and overview of therapies, including photographs. The evaluation was performed based on observation and orientation testing. The aim is to determine whether music therapy techniques can be used to train grips.
PEDI - Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory: Practical Application in Occupational Therapy

Eliška Haškovcová Title: PEDI - Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory: Practical Application in Occupational Therapy The Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI) is a standardized assessment developed in the USA. The PEDI samples key functional skills, caregiver assistance and modification in three content domains: self-care, mobility and social function. This thesis is aimed at the characterization of the PEDI and its practical application in occupational therapy. The theoretical part contains introduction of the PEDI, description of cooperation between occupational therapist and parents and brief description of functional skills development to the age of 7. Occupational therapists and parents information value of the PEDI is described in the practical part. The advantages and disadvantages for occupational therapist are also summarized. 20 assessments were used to achieve the aims of this theses. Feedback from the respondents was recieved using the anonymous online questionnaire. The detailed case study and graphs demonstrate the results of the research. Author: Jan Kuštán Title: Construction of forearm myoelectric prosthetic Objectives: The main goal is to describe the design and construction of appropriate myoelectric prosthesis after amputation of the forearm with subsequent rehabilitation care and occupational therapists. Methods: The theoretical part is a literature review. In the practical part I gained knowledge by studying literature consulted with prosthetics in Pilsen and Czech Budejovice. The skills I used when designing myoelectric forearm prosthesis with subsequent rehabilitation care and occupational therapists.
