Syntax of Adjective Compounds in a Bilingual Dictionary

The aim of the given thesis is to expound the problem of syntax processing by creating adjectival compounds in dictionary entries for the Large German-Czech Academic Dictionary. Assuming that exactly these words, which belong to the complicated vocabulary items, cause difficulties for foreign speakers with text comprehension and text production. It is based on the nature of German language, which makes many compounds, as opposed to in Czech language. Not only are the meanings of these words revealed to be problematic, but also their usage. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with characteristics of adjectives as word class, and because each word always has its context, attention will be primarily focused on the adjectival valency. Previously, only the valency of verbs and substantives has been discussed. When a native speaker automatically knows these syntax structures and even when, in case of foreign language, there could exist structural similarities between the source and target language, the structures ought consequently to be given in the dictionary. In some mono- or bilingual dictionary the user should find complex informations for word searched. S rostoucím a v mnoha případech přesyceným trhem digitálních technologií čelí mnoho společností problému se zachováním a získáváním zákazníků. Úspěšná marketingová kampaň, která se stala nepostradatelnou součástí při uvedení nových produktů na trh, dokáže pomoci tohoto cíle dosáhnout. V rámci této bakalářské práce byl sesbírán relevantní material z různých zdrojů, který byl poté analyzován z hlediska různorodých lingvistických prvků používaných v reklamní činnosti. Analyzované materiály nabývají rozdílných jazykových vlastností na základě toho, co je jejich požadovanou funkcí. Na billboardech, plakátech a online bannerech, kde krátká a výstižná sdělení naplňují svoji funkci propagace produktu by dlouhé, strukturované bloky textu působily kontraproduktivně. A podobným způsobem by použití krátkých “hlášek” v oficiálních dokumentech bylo považováno za neprofesionální. Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl nastínit a popsat některé z ligvistických metod používaných v marketingu s pomocí sběru a analýzy dat.

Title of the Diploma's Thesis: Art group 12/15 and its position in the Czech art after year 1989 ABSTRACT: The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the position of the Art Group 12/15 Better Late than never at Czech art scene after the year 1989, with an emphasis on generational changes and postmodern turn. In didactic part, the intention was to establish the awareness of the art group in the minds of students and, based on interdisciplinary ties, to repeat and broaden their knowledge of contexts. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on historical, art-historical and social science literature. To illustrate the time, atmosphere and position of Group 12/15 as precisely as possible, semi-structured and unstructured interviews with the group members themselves were used as a methodology. The diploma thesis shows that Group 12/15 and its generation are the bridge between the 2nd avant-garde, postmodern and contemporary art, maintaining the continuity of the Czech art scene. Interrogation tactics Abstract The submitted diploma thesis deals with the interrogation as a criminalistic procedure. The statement is obtained from interrogated persons by means of interrogation. The statement is a source of important knowledge of a crime. A crime can be successfully elucidated on the basis of knowledge. The aim of the diploma thesis is to sort knowledge of the interrogation, the interrogation tactics and the tactical interrogation procedures from the point of view of criminal law, criminalistics and psychology. The thesis is divided into five separate chapters. The first chapter is conceived from the point of view of criminal law. First chapter deals with the regulation of interrogation in the Czech Criminal Procedure Code and with the rights and obligations of the interrogated persons. The second and third chapters are the focus of this diploma thesis. Chapters deal with the preparation of the interrogation, the phases of the interrogation, the inquiries asked during the interrogation and the tactical interrogation procedures. My intention is to demonstrate how to perform tactical procedures correctly and legally. The theoretical part encompasses the socio-cultural environment and historical situation before and during the formation of the group, describes its formation, and presents the work of individual group members until their second joint exhibition. The didactic part teaches students the group's activities by utilising concepts used by 12/15. The practical part of the work carries out didactic task and by form of self-assess evaluates its feasibility and usefulness. The work includes historical documents and articles about group.
