Prevention programmes against cyber-bullying in the Czech rep.

The subject of my bachelor work is cyber bullying as one of forms classic bullying and theoretical and practical prevention of this phenomenon. This work focus mainly on a way, in which is this new form of bullying solved and what programmes are existing in the Czech republic specifically to prevent cyberbullying. These programmes are evaluated. The bachelor work contains definition of the term cyberbullying in wider understanding - At first the work focuses on classic bullying, then the role of cyberspace in social interaction. Another basic theory for my work is theory of evaluation. Next part of the work is definition of the term cyberbullying as a social problem. This part includes forms and instruments of cyberbullying. I also pay attention on specific cases of cyberbullying in the Czech republic and abroad. Further there are researches and legislation about this topic in the Czech republic and abroad. The next part focuses on prevention of cyberbullying in our country - advices for stakeholders (children, parents, teachers) dealing with social patological phenomena. Legitimacy of mass surveillance and data collection in international law

AJ Over the past decade, digital technology has undergone unprecedented development. The Internet, which originally served as a mean of communication among academics, has become the main communication mechanism used throughout the world. The way people can communicate with each other is much easier now. As a result, the attention of governments and secret agencies has also been focused on cyberspace, with the aim of controlling it as much as possible. Following the Snowden revelations in 2013, the debate on the international scene regarding the feasibility of mass surveillance as a tool in the fight against terrorism began. Since the events of September 11, the powers of the secret services in the field of communication of persons have been extended. This practice has brought up some interesting and unresolved issues. Are such activities permissible at all? If so, under what conditions? This diploma thesis analyzes the legitimacy of massive electronic surveillance and data collection in international law in the context of the protection of human rights, especially the right to privacy. The Influence of the Internet on Education

This work concentrates on the changes that the Internet has caused in education since its invention to the present day and predicts possible future development of the Internet use in education. It focuses on the learning needs of people in the information society and the role of adult educators in bridging the digital divide. The work further deals with changes in several cognitive functions, which are directly related to education. Special attention is given to a new theory of networked learning, connectivism, and specific ways of learning on the internet. Personal learning environments, massive open online courses, open educational resources and the concept of school 2.0 are critically viewed. The well-known web applications and tools suitable for use in teaching are briefly introduced.

Relevance of norms in cyberspace

In my bachelor thesis I consider security in cyberspace and attempt to establish, whether theoretical approaches to the technological domain of nuclear weapons can merit the analysis of cyberspace. More specifically, I focus on the constructivist perspective and the theoretical framework of norm evolution that allows me to analyze the behavior of states based on their shared expectations and identity in international community. Norms, which form a standard of appropriate behavior, always evolve and thus I deal with their life-cycle. Further I inquire into the application of this theoretical framework in nuclear weapons and into two concepts that expand upon it: nuclear taboo and nuclear deviation. I present the relationship between these two concepts and the dominant approach of deterrence, their pros and cons, and their differences. I demonstrate the contribution of these concepts by applying them to historical cases of (non-)use of nuclear weapons. The part of my thesis devoted to cyberspace begins with a discussion of terminology and of the aspects that differentiate cyberspace from other domains. This thesis attempts to contribute to the general recognition of the phenomenon known as active audience that is generated by technical possibilities of contemporary digitalized media world collectively known as the era of Web 2.0. In this respect, the thesis follows the specific aspects, which accompany the transition from traditional ways of communication and methods of spreading information in the new and constantly evolving world of cyberspace. The thesis is based on the current general principles and theories, which are applied and compared in a relevant form at the Fan community site Slavistickenoviny.cz. The thesis follows two main directions. The first one focuses on the Web site as a product of citizen journalism. It deals with a comparison of the efforts of its authors with professional media outcomes. It also observes the rules, that are taken from the media and on the contrary evaluates differences. Terrorism in Cyberspace

Although it seems to be a global phenomenon, the internet is a part of human society for relatively short time. Existing in different forms there are phenomena that are present in human society for decades, and that we might not expect in cyberspace. In addition to a mutation of social pathologies such as bullying, child pornography and stalking, internet is used by extremist movements and terrorist groups for their activities such as propaganda, mutual communication, but also for invasive activities. This thesis is focused among other things on terrorism in cyberspace. The introduction places the issue in the current state of society, connecting it with technological and social changes. The second section presents a brief overview of the relevant literature, which is focused on the issue of conventional terrorism and terrorism in cyberspace. The following chapters attempt to define its form, find its essence, and describe the similarities and differences especially in relation to conventional terrorism. These findings are achieved by confrontating both forms of terrorism, its fundamental aspects and classification criteria. Criminological and criminal law aspects of the ransomware spread

The subject of this diploma thesis is the ransomware spread, which is currently one of the most prominent global cybernetic threats. Ransomware is malicious code that, when activated on a computer system, usually blocks access to that system or encrypts the data contained in it, which is then used to blackmail the user. This thesis deals with criminological and criminal aspects of this phenomenon. In its criminological part, this thesis deals with the issue of the etiology of the ransomware spread and its criminogenic factors, while examining, among other things, the applicability of cybercriminological theory named space transition theory to a given phenomenon. It also deals with the victimological aspect of the matter, listing the most fundamental factors influencing victimization, both in the case of widespread non-targeted ransomware attacks and in the case of specifically targeted attacks. It also examines the issue of the high latency of this phenomenon and cybercrime in general and the possibility of prevention, which it considers to be the best way to defend against a ransomware attack. Copyright infringement in cyberspace

The aim of this thesis is to present the issue of copyright infringement in cyberspace. I choose it because it is very dynamic and actual topic, connected with modern technologies. Sometimes the legislator is not able to react on new technologies properly, they are just too fast. From that reason in several chapters i am focusing on important court decisions. The work itself is divided into 7 chapters. The first chapter describes the difference between the Internet and Cyberspace. Subsequently, I define the Cyberspace and divide it into individual parts, which are described in more detail. This will allow us to better understand the space in which we are moving and what are the differences from the real world . The second chapter focuses on legal protection of copyright. It is internally divided into three parts. In the first, I am describing historical development of copyright and important international treaties. Then I am focusing on copyright on the level of European Union. Finally, I deal with domestic legislation. I explain how copyright in Czech republic looks like, and how is protected as well as how the work of authorship is protected by the criminal law. 1 Responsibility of States for Unlawful Acts in Cyberspace Abstract This master's thesis addresses the topic of responsibility of state for the unlawful acts in cyberspace. The research subject is the application of the legal norms and the possibility of the state being held responsible in the field of collective security and human rights in cyberspace. It discusses mainly the question of use of force, armed attack, and aggression. Regarding the human rights, this master's thesis focuses on right to private life and family life, freedom of expression and right to life. This thesis delimitates the rules of responsibility of state under the Articles on Responsibility of State for Unlawful acts. In the chosen fields it was found that the international public law applies in limited manner also to cyberspace. In cyberspace, many attacks take place, which may result in breach in different fields of international law. To answer the question of the state responsibility, it was firstly dealt with, whether the subject-matter of this breaches can be reached in cyberspace.
