The issue of confidentality and notification obligation in the low-threshold center for children and youth and in the authority of social and legal protection of the children

The diploma thesis called The issue of confidentality and notification obligation in the low-threshold center for children and youth and in the authority of social and legal protection of the children deals with the conflict of mandatory confidentiality and notification obligation and its resolution. Respectively by looking at the issue by individual social workers in various social institutions. These are social workers from low- threshold centers for children and youth and social workers from authorities for social and legal protection of children. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The whole work contains ten chapters and subchapters. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether social workers in low- threshold centers for children and youth and in authorities for social and legal protection for children resolve the conflict of mandatory confidentiality and notification obligation by a more ethical or legal point of view.

1 Mediation as an alternative way of resolving disputes Abstract This work deals with the increasingly frequent type of dispute resolution, to be concrete it focuses on mediation. In the introduction, the author deals with the essence of conflict. The author also discusses the types of alternative dispute resolution. After this theoretical introductory part, the work focuses exclusively on mediation. It describes the history of this institute, the division of types of mediation, analyses the legal regulations and presents a general overview of the mediation procedure and the specifics associated with it. The work mainly deals with the principles of mediation such as confidentiality, voluntariness, with regard to the assumptions and performance of mediation by a registered mediator. The author analyses all the mentioned topics in connection with national legislation and compares it with European legislation so that the reader can understand the development of mediation and its possible pitfalls. The author also provides her suggestions for further cultivation of the mediation environment based on his experience as a registered mediator and a study of foreign mediation practice. Intercompany mentoring

The diploma thesis is dedicated to the intercompany mentoring issue, its thorough description and specific practical application in the company. The objectives are to define the intercompany mentoring as a new form of corporate learning, to analyze it in detail and to assess its benefits to the certain company. Its strengths / weaknesses and the possible opportunities and threats are found in the theoretical part via SWOT analysis. The assessment of intercompany mentoring is based on the interviews with mentors, mentees and last but not least with mentees' superiors. These semi-structured interviews are focused on finding of the strengths / weaknesses and the opportunities or threats. It means that the SWOT analysis is used also in the practical part of the thesis. The output of the thesis is the final resume and my personal improvement proposals. The results of the thesis can help those companies that are looking for new ways to develop their employees or which are hesitating to participate in the intercompany mentoring. Ethical Codes in the present Czech media system

Master's Thesis focuses on current position of ethics in the Czech media. The main subject is the code of ethics (or code of conduct). The first part of the thesis offers a theoretical background of the topic. I am pursuing the terminology referred to the media ethics topic. Together with scholarly resources I provide definitions of terms such as ethics, morality and code of ethics in media. Summary of relevant Czech codes of conduct is essential for this thesis. First, I present the codes in a brief list and table, more detailed analysis follows. The focus is on differences and specification of each of them. After that I present an analysis of ethical rules valid in foreign countries - European states and the United States in particular. Theoretical part is followed by practical part of the thesis. It is based on interviews with experts which are semi- anonymous and semi-structured. I interview eight employees of Czech media after formulating several hypotheses. I chose experts who have been working in media for many years - mainly chief editors or top managers in press, TV, radio or online media. Professional morale of teachers of kindergartens

This thesis is devoted to professional ethics teachers in kindergarten. It focuses on ethics and associated teaching profession. The theoretical part includes clarification of the theoretical concepts, such as ethics and morality. Describes the changes in history in the education of childcare, in the approach to the theory of education and the educator requirements. The practical part includes the research investigation, which focuses on the views of teachers and the general public on the professional morality associated with the creation of a code of ethics for teachers. Part of the research part is a description of the methods that were used to meet objectives. Also includes the interpretation of the data, and finally, evaluate the position of the public and of teachers to professional ethics educator with views on the content of the proposal for a code of ethics. The conclusion of the thesis assesses the evidence and circumstances, which have been identified in the course of the investigation.
History and the present code of ethics in the helping professions

This work is focused on issues of codes of ethics. It outlines the historical roots from ancient times to the present. It presents information on the principles, rules, standards and aims which combine ethical codes. The second part of this work is focused on the Code of ethics of sign language interpreters, which was created by Czech Chamber of Sign Language Interpreters. It analyse in detail each point of this Code of ethics and presents basic specifics and principles of interpreting. The main aim of this work is to analyse complience with the principles of the Code and analyze overall condition of interpreting services in the Czech Republic. These analyses is based on the interviews with the interpretor and the deaf, which represents two opposing views on this issue.
Ethics in business

This thesis presents a contribution to exploration of the business ethics area from the psychological point of view with focus on multidisciplinary character of the subject. The empirical part brings mapping study describing the implementation of the business ethics management system and its impacts on the employees' approaches using example of the specific company. The thesis tries to capture which company functions and operations are covered by the code of ethics, what steps and process were taken when implementing the code, if the implementation of the code influenced employees' approaches and relation to the employer and if the implementation of the code influenced the ways how employees solved their moral dilemmas. The qualitative research part of the thesis uses semi-structured interviews, company documents analysis and observation.
Feminist art institutions: discursive and practical possibilities of progressive feminism in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with discursive and practical possibilities of progressive feminism in the Czech environment. The thesis discusses the current critique of feminism in neoliberalism and points to the processes of co-optation of feminist principles into the neoliberal system. Using the theory of sociologists Catherine Eschle and Bice Maiguashcy, the thesis further develops the discourse of progressive feminism, which offers a rejection of the logic of the neoliberal system and at the same time seeks alternative ways of feminist practice. Using the concept of progressive feminism, the Feminist Art Institution initiative, which seeks to bring feminist principles into institutional practice, is analyzed. The diploma thesis first analyzes feminist concepts that appear in the discursive conception of feminism of the Feminist Art Institution initiative. It also presents a case study of the practice of feminist art institutions with its conditions and consequences in a broader contextual context. The case study is based on semi-structured interviews conducted with representatives of twelve institutions at the initiative of the Feminist Art Institution. Ethics in addictology practice

The presented work is an empirical study offering an insight into the providing of addictology care in the everyday practice. In a selected Organization, I ethnographically examine how the good addictology practice is done and what, according to the participants, makes it good. That means how the Organization comes to what is good and what is not, when and in which situation is it good. Through analyses of Organization's everyday life taking place in various facilities helping people at risk of dependents and their loved ones, through documents analyses and through the way the Organization presents itself, I offer proved a support for the good practice. These are the organization's spirit, that is cultivated from the long-term care for the organization's culture and also an awareness of the constant formation of one's own path towards good and even better care. However, neither the path nor the spirit has the same face and final form. Although it stands on solid foundations, which are the organizational values (respect, openness, responsibility, relationship and cooperation) and is based on a long history and traditions, it is shaped by what every day brings to the Organization.
