Abstract The theme of the diploma thesis "Physical action of a painter" is the analysis of gesture, body, movement, sense perception, dance in relation to visual art. In the theoretical part there is dealt with the artists of action art for whom the gesture, dance and movement during the art creation is principal and dominant. The didactic part is made up of an art project where the particular art series ("Gesture", "Movement", "Body", "Sense perception") and art topics are related and mingled together. In the art project there are the mentioned terms transformed on a didactic way and most of the art topics are verified in the pedagogic practise. The theme is complemented with the own creation of action painting - visual art in conjunction with dance and music. In this thesis there are used professional publications about the given topic.

First part reveals important life milestones, which affects his philosophical mindedness reflected in his work, as well as his view of the literature and its values for a human. Second part of this thesis is focused on ethical values, which in Fuks works (Pan Theodor Munstdock, Spalovač mrtvol and Myši Natálie Mooshabrové) are the most occurred. The goal isn't only to show how the ethical values like life and death, truth and lie, good and evil, existence and absurdity affects character's lives in novels, but also their relativity. Encouraging boys to read

in English Diploma thesis deals with the reading of boys. Specifies the needs of children in reading, especially the needs of boys. It characterizes dispositions of the reader and the influences that act on them. It summarizes the current situation of children's reading at home and abroad. Thesis mentions the reasons why focus just on reading of boys. It shows aspects that are important for boys in reading and further specifies them. Thesis recommends on how best work with boys and the texts in lessons. Based on research in MK in PRAGUE and interviews with boys lists the titles of the current book market, which meet the criterias of boys for their selection of reading. Then specifies these titles in terms of catchiness for boys and didactic potential. Presents an example of literary lesson which is then verified in practice. It compares the interests of girls and boys in reading, their perceptions and reactions during work in the lesson. It summarizes the knowledge gained from the interviews with children and observation of children during their work. Structuralism and Concept of Discourse in the Work of Paul Ricoeur

This diploma thesis focuses on structuralism and concept of discourse in the work of French philosopher Paul Ricoeur. The aim of the thesis is to show Ricoeur's effort to interconnect structuralism and hermeneutics and, after this, to treat how this interconnection works as a general paradigm of human sciences. The point of departure is Ricoeur's revision of Saussurean structural approach which divides language into language system (langue) and speaking (parole). Then, the concept of discourse is grounded and the thesis proceeds to problems of text. By using the concept of discourse for written forms of language (texts), Ricoeur introduces this term to his hermeneutical approach. Its interconnection with structuralism is made possible by circular dialectics of explanation and understanding in which structuralism is shown to be necessary for the hermeneutical knowledge. Ricoeur's hermeneutical thought is also characterised by movement from text to action. Ricoeur finds some parallels between them and between the interpretations of them. By this, he proceeds from hermeneutics of text to hermeneutics of action and presents his conclusions as a general paradigm of human sciences. These are said to have a hermeneutical nature. Body language and the language of art

The proposed thesis deals with the topic of body language in visual art and with understanding of body language as synergy of the innermost experience and the experience of the bodily form. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses psychological, anthropological and art historical literature published both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The point of departure for the theoretical part is the concept of interconnectedness of sensory perception, its cognitive analysis and the ensuing answer to the environment, focusing especially on the subjective character of these processes. In the practical part of the proposed thesis, an educational art project is designed, based on the results of the theoretical study in the first part and impulses from contemporary visual art (Eva Koťátková, Erwin Wurm, Miriam Cabessa and others). The aim of the educational part is to observe the processes mentioned above, concentrating especially on the creative expression through an artistic action and the experience of the individual.

The function of violence in films and its reception by journalists

Violence can be handled in a variety of ways across a wide variety of film genres and specific grasps of genres. The goal of this thesis is to explore the different functions of violence in films and then show how different is the acceptance of violence by Western film critics, ie journalists, in the same genre with similar motivations of the main characters, but with a slightly different approach of these characters to the use of violence. In the theoretical part I will describe the terms of review, criticism, film and at the same time the function of violence in films across genres. The practical part will then show how the concept of violence and its function may differ even within one larger genre, although the motivations of the main characters may sometimes be similar. Certain parallels as well as differences in the use and function of violence will be discussed on the example of selected scenes from two action film series Ip Man and Rambo. Subsequently, the reactions to the manifestations of violence by film critics will be analyzed and in the end it will be assessed whether the critics reacted to the processing of violence at all, how they reacted to it and what generally follows from the critics' approach to various possibilities on depicting violence. Bachelor thesis "Image of the Police of the Czech republic in Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo daily newspapers" analyses the way of presentation of the Police of the Czech republic in Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo daily newspapers in a distance of ten years using a content analysis. It explores and compares years of 1996 and 2006 and documents development and movement in the way of imagery of this state institution. The thesis deals with the situation in the Czech society after the year of 1989 from the perspective of police work and theme in its introduction. There are theoreticly described the method of research and its process in further parts and the results analysis in the end of the thesis.

In Space

The bachelor's thesis is a series of fourteen drawings created exclusively using graphite. The drawings reflect a subjective view of the universe, inspired by archaic interpretations of planets and universe solids, conspiracy theories, black and white images of textures, surfaces, rocks and meteorites captured by modern technology. The drawings are an attempt to express hidden inner motives, personal mythology, the energy of the landscape, the relationship to nature. The paper is a parallel to the sky, a projection surface on which dreamy cosmic landscapes penetrate in imprints, geometric shapes and using perspective.
