Strategies of actors involved in space race
Brabcová, Karolína ; Doboš, Bohumil (advisor) ; Pražák, Jakub (referee)
The master thesis entitled Strategies of actors involved in space race aims to answer the question of what the strategies of selected space actors for the present and the near future are, and in what these goals can we predict cooperation or competition. Furthermore, the work examines in which directions the strategies of the actors are declining, what is the possible success rate and in which areas of space policy the actors should further develop. The work is structured into four chapters, which present the specific current and future goals of selected state space actors (USA, ESA, Russia, China, India, Japan) and commercial space actors. The strategic goals are analysed and compared from primary available official sources and put into practice within the list of main areas of interest and specific space missions. The main issues of space activities influencing current and future space policy are also defined here.
The Influence of Western Thinkers on Sun Yat-Sen, His Political Philosophy and Practice
Mališ, Jan ; Halamka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Franěk, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this paper is to highlight the influences of major Western thinkers on Sun Yat-sen, which authors have had how much of an influence, and how different influences from different authors interact. The thesis begins immediately after the introduction, with a brief summary of Sun Yat-sen's life, emphasizing the possible influences from any angle. The work then moves on to the main part, which are the influences themselves, divided into two parts. The first are the broader influences, that is, the influences of authors, stimuli, or environments that did not have as much of an influence as the four main authors, but are still worthy of a subsection in the thesis alone. These chapters analyze Mill, Rousseau, Lincoln, and then the influence of Japan and British-influenced territories. The second part then deals with the main authors, which are Montesquieu,George, Kropotkin and Marx. The thesis then concludes with a summary of the main findings, a short recapitulation of the thesis and overall concluding thoughts on the thesis.

Machálková, Andrea ; Obuchová, Ľubica (advisor) ; Kropáček, Luboš (referee)
The diploma thesis "Christian-Buddhist Polemic in Japan in the 17th century" deals mainly with the life and work of Fabian Fucan, one of the most noticeable figures of the early Japanese Christianity. The first part of the thesis is focused on the coming of Christianity to Japan, the mission and the subsequent persecution of Christians which later resulted in the final prohibition of Christianity in the country. The main part of the thesis puts brain to the analysis of two key works of Fabian Fucan - Christian apologetics called Myōtei Mondō and then anti-Christian treatise Ha Daiusu that Fucan wrote after leaving the Society of Jesus and becoming attached back to Buddhism. The final chapter pays attention to the phenomenon of "kakure kirishitan" ("hidden Christians"), i.e. groups of Christians who are the descendants of Christians secretly practicing during the Sakoku (literally, "closed country") period.

Dependency between Deflation and Recession in Japan over the Past Two Decades
Vopat, Daniel ; Ryska, Pavel (advisor) ; Franče, Václav (referee)
Aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out if and in what manner has been the real GDP growth influenced by change of price level in Japan during last twenty years. This period is in Japan characteristic by economic stagnation often accompanied by deflation. Many economists and politicians presume that deflation keeps Japanese economy from growing again and they consider deflation to be an undesirable element that needs to be prevented. We use methods of econometric analysis to achieve our goal. To be more specific we use ordinary least squares estimation on quarterly data. The model is estimated in two ways to prevent possible influence of world economic crisis in 2008 and 2009. First model takes into account all collected data and second model drops out data from world economic crisis period. According to the first mentioned model analysis, the fourth lag of price level is negatively correlated with real GDP growth on 5 % significance level. To put it in another way, deflation was followed by acceleration of quarterly real GDP growth. This correlation was insignificant in the second model. Our research indicates that there is no reason to consider deflation being the cause of long lasting economic stagnation. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
