Human alienation from nature

9/67 Abstract My thesis deals with human alienation from nature. The theoretical section aims to answer what is nature and relationship to nature. It also describes how the relationship developed between man and nature. Neglected to stay or work in human nature - recreation and gardening settlements. The thesis also focuses on the children and nature around them. Besides, my study is searching for links within school eco- center and framework of educational programme for elementary education. There occur attempts to look for the causes and consequences of running away from nature. Furthermore, the answer to delay human alienation from nature is being looked around. A self-made research determines what types of environments the pupils in the fifth grade of elementary schools in Brandys nad Labem - Stara Boleslav use and spend their leisure time there. Whether the town Brandys nad Labem - Stara Boleslav offers to students natural space witch students may use for their relaxation and doing sports. The thesis is studying whom pupils spend their leisure time outside with and who is their partner or guide. Nature as art workshop

This thesis deals with the possibilities of linking art with nature. The theoretical part is based on the General educational program follows the role of arts and educational resources to achieve specific goals. Particular attention is paid to project issues in connection with teaching environmental education, interdisciplinary relations and development directions of arts working with nature, with a focus on natural art. The practical part contains three methodical series of art activities with students of the first degree. The thesis has a picture documentation of the activities carried out on the enclosed CD.

A series of art tasks is designed for the Centre for preschool children, established by the Children and Youth Centre in Prague. The common denominator designed creative tasks is to use scrap materials, especially plastics, and paper and textiles. The theoretical basis of this work is ecological, environmental and global education in the context of RVP PV and RVP ZV.

The Šumava National Park as an area for leisure activities of pupils from lower elementary school Abstract: This thesis deals with the creation of a fully-fledged program at the school in the countryside, where the Šumava National Park is an area for leisure activities of 1st stage of elementary school. It deals with forming a plan of excursions complemented by observations of nature, labor - creative activities and movement, to bring the emotionalexperiences of the participants in contact with animate nature and landscape. Art education in the after-school club specialized on the using of nature resources

My Bachelor work deals with the possibility of the use of natural resources within the frame of the creative art education of children inside the after-school club. I try to focus on familiarization with different variety of natural resources and its utilization in context of pastime activities, concretely inside the after-school club. In full details described preparation and realization of the creative expression and using of natural resources are the part of the project documentation. The aim of my work is approach to the work with children during out- of-school activities inside the after-school club, encourage and support the creation of the positive relation to the ecology and respectable behavior to the nature, as well as using of natural resources for handicraft art.
Education for Citizenship and Environmental Education in the Secondary and High School

This diploma thesis deals with the environmental education of young people and it highlights its importance for the transfer towards the sustainable society. It emphasizes the need to get into the core of the problem, which is the emotional alienation of present-day people from the nature and environment. In the theoretical part it proves the existence of many various attitudes towards the world and the possibility of environmental education to bring students to those less self-centred and more considerate. It then presents the basis of environmental education, its development and mainly its trends reflecting today's need to focus on environmental sensitivity and personal responsibility of each individual. It shows that both areas are possible to cultivate in lessons of civics and social sciences, which provide significant space for the integration of environmental education. These subjects stress the need to educate students in the way which would help them to acquire skills of both responsible citizens of the society and considerate inhabitants of this beautiful planet. Environmental project and its use in a nusery school

The topic of my thesis is "Environmental project and its use in a nursery school." All work is divided into three parts. In the first, theoretic passage, there is the project described with its important parts. It is also focused on environmental education, its brief characteristic and integration into the general educational programme for preschool education. A professional literature has been the source for this part of my work. The second, practical section, is aimed at children's familiarization with nature. Using games, picture materials and especially watching created the kids' awareness of natural environment. I aimed all activities in such a way that they were in harmony with the age and individual possibilities of children. Last chapter is the research part. This section conducts a survey of fear of nature in the case of preschool children. The final evaluation has generated many interesting findings.
Preparedness of primary school teachers for environmental education

This bachelor thesis examines the preparedness of primary school teachers in the South Bohemia for environmental education. This readiness is thinking of competencies for effective administration and coordination of environmental education, not stint the teacher's knowledge. The theoretical part describes the development, challenges and diversity of methods of environmental education in the Czech Republic. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the education plan (SEP) and primarily qualitative analysis of the responses of teachers gathered through a questionnaire, which contained 6, mostly open questions. Based on the evaluation of these responses were determined and defined three groups of teachers of differing competencies and thus preparedness for environmental education. Further it has been verified overwhelming satisfaction of teachers with internet and levels of educational programs, training and seminars, provided primarily by NGO´s and several government agencies in the region.
Use of urban greenery for lecturing on biology, forestry and environment

This thesis aims to develop the concept of use of urban greenery in Znojmo for lecturing on biology, forestry and environment. Perform basic records of trees selected in urban green area; identify the target group of pupils and suggest appropriate topic fieldwork in accordance with the content of the curriculum taught. Choose a suitable, safe excursion route, develop a concise educational materials for teachers and propose a method for testing the effectiveness of fieldwork.
