Teaching Prosocial Skills at Primary Schools

The Master thesis "Teaching Prosocial Skills at Primary Schools" deals with the theory related to the prosocial behaviour and further aims to describe present possibilities and methods of teaching prosocial skills at primary schools. The author, in the theoretical part, characterizes and analyses prosocial behaviour, according to its types and forms, outlines basic theories of prosocial behavior and its determinants. The author further gives examples of how schools are able to incorporate teaching prosocial skills in school curricula. The author, in the empiric part, introduces opinions, attitudes, ideas and previous experiences of teachers and students with this education, using interviews and analyses of school curricula and minimum preventive program.

Field education and practical experiments in meteorology and climatology within geography Abstract By means of my theasis I have tried to prove that there are some experiments and activities for field education we can use to support geographical lessons focused on meteorology and climatology. First I describe the advantages and disadvantages of different organizing forms for the education. Next I mention the main benefits of field education, its structure and goals and I also remind its placement in RVP ZV and RVP G. In the next chapture I try to show differences between demonstration teaching and practical students work which are the kinds of methods using in practical experiments. The methods, which are used during teaching, are up to the schools according to their curiculum. In the last theoretical part I prove the meteorology and climatology education at schools is part of geographical education, especially in the first and fifth grade of 8 years grammar school or in the first grade of four year grammar school. eTwinning as a form of teaching classes from Pedagogy branch at secondary schools

The diploma thesis is focused on the project-based learning. Specifically, it deals with the possibility to utilize the project-based learning within eTwinning for teaching students of educational fields at high school. The goal of the work was a theoretical analysis of the problem as well as a prototype of a project which focuses on pre-school and extra curricular education. The methodology used in this work is based on the participatory-action research. First, a form-based survey was conducted to find out conditions and suggestions about the structure of a project within eTwining. The survey respondents were teachers of pedagogy and educational fields. Next, the researcher, author of the thesis, prototyped a project that was consequently reviewed by three teachers out of the survey respondents. Also, these teachers were interviewed for their opinions about the project prototype as well as about utilizing the project-based learning within eTwinning when teaching students of pedagody and its fields at high schools. The result of the research showed that high schools teaching fields of pedagody would have only minor issues with the project-based learning within eTwinning. Learning the Czech language in retirement age

DRTINOVÁ, Simona. Learning the Czech language in retirement age. Prague, 2013. Dissertation. Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Institute of Czech Language and Theory of Communication. This thesis deals with foreign language learning in retirement age from interdisciplinary perspective. Its characteristics may be limited economic activity, more free time and the potential occurrence of certain barriers caused by age. The case of foreigners in retirement age living in the Czech Republic and learning Czech will serve as an example of foreign language learning. The theoretical part of the thesis firstly defines old age together with the changes typical for the process of aging and old age: the changes are described on a physical, cognitive and social level. The thesis then goes on to address the process of learning with emphasis on foreign language learning. Selected components are mentioned within the pedagogical- psychological part of the learning process, specifically the motivation to learn, different organizational forms of education and teacher's role during the education. Education projects focused on the area of Milíčov forest and ponds

Title: Educational projects focused on the area of Milíčov forest and ponds. This graduation thesis deals with project education in the field of natural monument Milíčov forest and ponds. It directly borders with southern city housing estate. Result of this work is a collection of materials focusing on environmental education and upbringing pupils on 2nd stage of basic schools, which are located near this monument. These are mainly a methodology for teachers, manual to the project education, worksheets for pupils and creative solution of worksheets for teachers. The starting point for creating projects has been a partial study, questionnaire and open discussion with students. Teoretical part at its beginning describes general conservation and special nature protection, to place issues in a boarder context. The historical aspect is also mentioned. In the thesis are also defined Milíčov forests and ponds characteristics, taking into account their rarities. It is mainly dealt with occurring of important species and specially protected species in this area. Title: Comparison between educational methods and organizational teaching styles of a second language within the scope of the compulsory education and the education in a leisure time Abstract: This diploma thesis deals with the topic of educational methods and organizational teaching styles and their contribution to the effectiveness of second language teaching and learning. It also concerns with other circumstances that influence students in their learning. The theoretical basis for this purpose is provided by the theoretical part that introduces theoretical views on student's motivation, the role represented by teaching organization, applied methods, assessment of students and the personality of a teacher as described in professional literature. The practical part presents conclusions that were reached by questionnaires, discussions and interviews realized with students and teachers. It offers their opinions of factors influencing the effectiveness of teaching that they compared within the scope of the high school education and the education realized by language schools in the form of post- graduate classes. Efficiency of inquiry based teaching methods in elementary schools

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the efficiency of research-based teaching in biology lessons at upper primary school. The next partial aim is the comparison of students' effectiveness during lessons with elements of exploration-based teaching (a.k.a. experimental group) and comparison of students during frontal teaching (a.k.a. inspecting group). The bachelor thesis deals with teaching methods which can be used during students' lessons at upper primary schools and concentrates on possibilities of research-based teaching. Three research-based tasks which focus on plants and their parts (root, stalk, leaf) are suggested in the thesis. The use of these suggested tasks was verified in author's own practical training in seventh grade at one of the primary schools. Individual tasks are formed and prepared in order to develop creativity, independence, sense of co-operating and exploring stated topics with others. These suggested themes can be used during biology lessons at upper primary schools. The results of efficiency of suggested research-based tasks are presented in the bachelor thesis.
Contribution to the Didactic Teaching Issues in a Specialized Interest Department

This dissertation deals with aspects of education in specialized hobby club ? fishing club. The first part of the dissertation concerns with the legislative definition of fishing activities in the framework of ČRS ( The Czech Fising Union) and the setting of edu-cational aims for fishing clubs in the Czech Republic . The second and the third part deal with the organizational forms and educational methods and point to their proper implementation of teaching in fishing clubs. The fourth part is about the educational environment and its influence on the educational climate and atmosphere of the fishing club and about using of this enviroment influence as a tool for children education. The fifth part is the probe into the fishing clubs in the South Bohemia region and specially about the using of specialized publications and periodicals by clubs leaders and teachers.
