7 Summary This bachelor thesis is divided into parts, specifically theoretical and practical part. Theme is adolescents and their relationship to the authorities. To understand such relationship you need to know psychic development at this developmental stage. First sections of theoretical part are about this psychic development. Separate part is about authority and its development. Practical part tries to establish what does authority mean to adolescents. Main question is what must person with authority do, how to act and how to interact with students. Major part of answers was as expected but some answers are surprising and new The results could be instructions for teachers to know what students want and expect.
Childrens' life with and within media

Barbora Neuwirthová ABSTRACT Thesis "Childrens' life with and within media" explores and describes ways in which children handle digital media and how this media influence their lives. It aims to describe in ethnographic manner how children live their puberty with and within media. Main research was done through school ethnography, collected data were analyzed using systemic approach and interpretive socialization model. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews with 13 young people between 11 and 15 years old. Secondary source for research was in- school participant observation and analysis of respondent media products. Data analysis used open coding for creating codes and categories which were used in later analysis. Result of my research is thick description of childrens' life with and within media, which shows, that media are both tool and factor in children behavior and actions. Digital media create environment, in which children live in their own different, individual, ways, influenced by their personality or hobbies. Media usage manifest itself also in development and quality of peer and parent-child relationships. Personality development of students by art activities at two-years practical school

This thesis tries to understand and to have a better insight into adolescence and it is interested in options of forming personality of a young person with a mental disability. Based on the qualitative research, it tries to describe the development of personality particular aspects in the group of people in a two-year practical school. Sub themes of personality development are elaborated on the basis of cross-section theme Personality and social education in art lessons, where they are using the benefit of the art work, feeling and reflection as a formative element by creating self-identity in the behavioral-educational process. Thesis describes ways, which simplify the self-knowledge, strengthen the self-concept, operate in the area of psycho-hygiene and help to reveal the hidden potentials, which specify and focus the life course of a young person with a mental disability on the edge of adulthood. Monitoring risk behavior of students in selected schools

Anotation This bachelor thesis is dedicated to monitoring by the prevalence of problem behavior among pupils of selected schools and gymnasiums. The aim of this work is to obtain basic information about the extent and what social pathological phenomena in secondary school students most often, acquired knowledge to evaluate and then compare the selected schools. The research method has been used by questionnaire survey. Anonymous questionnaires have been filled with students of selected secondary vocational school and grammar school. The theoretical part is focused on adolescence, basic concepts related to risky behavior, substance abuse, truancy, bullying and ways of prevention of risky behavior. The practical part deals the comparison of selected risk behaviors at two selected schools. The outcome of this work has been analyzed the information obtained on the basis of which it was formulating recommendations for directors and prevention methodology, which risk behavior should be focused in the context of prevention in selected schools.
Life values of pupils of 8th and 9th grades

The diploma thesis "Life values of pupils of 8th and 9th grades" deals with the life values in the complicated lifetime of adolescence. The main focus is on the youth at the age of 13 to 15, which corresponds with the 8th and 9th grade of elementary schools or with tercie and kvarta of grammar schools. The thesis concentrates primarily on the values and value rankings of individuals, mentions possible influences on these values and explains some concepts related to the values.or explaining the values. I specify the life period of adolescence, the integration of individuals into the society and their bonds to their families. The adolescents' ideas about their future are also reflected. The practical part of the thesis compares the life values of primary school pupils and grammar school students. To demonstrate the differences, I use a questionnaire survey complemented with professional opinions of teachers and professors from the schools mentioned. I am trying to find out if their values, value rankings, ideas about future life and their parents' support are significantly different in some ways or if there are any remarkable contrasts in these areas in terms of genders.

A b s t r a c t ZIMMERMANNOVÁ, Táňa. The Issue of Adolescent Self-harm in Comparism of Regular School and Facility for Kids with Behavioral Disorders. Praha: Hussite Theological Faculty, The Charles University, 2014. pp 80. Diploma Dissertation. The thesis is focused on the phenomenon of adolescent self-harm, concerning its prevalence among normal and problematic youth, and also the knowledge of professionals who work with youth. The research is divided in two parts. The first one maps the incidence of self-harm among pupils of a secondary school in comparison with clients of Facility for Kids with Behavioral Disorders in Chrudim and is processed using a standardized questionnaire called Self-Harm Invetory (SHI, 1998). The results show that there is nosignificant difference between normal and troubled youth in the prevalence of the risk behavior itself, but typically self-harm practices are already several times more prevalent among youth with behavioral disorders.It aims to find out whether it can be assumed that self-harm threatens only adolescents with special needs and if it is a marginal issue in general population. The thesis is focused on the experience of 6th and 9th elementary school classes with risk behavior in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. The theoretical part defines terms related to adolescence, risk behavior and prevention. This part also deals with procedures in the occurence of the risk behavior in elementary school. The practical part presents the results of own empirical investigation and bears the signs of a quantitative research. The aim of the research was to determine to which extent second grades students in Dvůr Králové nad Labem have personal experience in the risk behavior. The method of data collection tool was a questionnaire. The results of the research will be beneficial in the prevention of risk behavior in primary schools in Dvůr Králové nad Labem.
Nutritional behaviors of adolescents and their knowledge as a result of lower secondary education

The thesis focuses on eating habits of adolescents and their knowledge of nutrition. In the theoretical part, the bio-psycho-social development of growing up individuals is characterized. From the nutritional behaviour's point of view, factors are mentioned that may influence eating habits of individuals along with nutritional recommendations for adolescent individuals. Data from research focused on nutritional behaviour of adolescents conducted in Czech republic and the consequences of insufficient and excessive nutrition is included into the theoretical part. The last part clarifies the implementation of nutritional themes into the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education and education programmes and projects focusing on supporting healthy eating habits intended for schools. Goal of the practical part is to map the eating habits and knowledge of eight and ninth grade second stage students of three primary schools in Prague and third and fourth grade students of two grammar schools. To test this goal, the quantitative approach of questionnaire survey and qualitative methods of analysis of school curricula were used. Awareness of girls' and boys' attending selected secondary colleges of their obligations resulting from family law

This research study is focused on the awareness of adolescents on the child's duties which they stemming from a Czech family law. The main goal is, using of analysis of individual provisions of the legislation of the child's duties in the Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, to determine the awareness of adolescent about these duties. Intermediate objectives is to determine whether the duties according to their opinion, fulfils in practice, the acquired data to compare and submit proposal for a teaching of this issue, including the design of its incorporation in school education programmes in selected schools. The survey is carried out among 120 sixteen - eighteen year-old students' of the Business Academy and Secondary technical school in Prague, in the form of empirical investigation quantitative method, questionnaire survey in written. Stems from him, that although teens do not have awareness of the duties, an obligation in practice performs. Comparison of the results of the investigation then showed that the obtained data from the selected schools were, at the 5% level, found statistically significant differences. Arturo and Agostino: a Comparison Drawn between the Boy Protagonists of the proses by Morante and Moravia

The Bachelor thesis has comparative character and focuses on the comparison drawn between the boy protagonists of the proses L'isola di Arturo by Elsa Morante and Agostino by Alberto Moravia with an emphasis on initiating storyline of both works. In each chapter this thesis compares similarities and differencies between both works and their protagonists. At the same time there are compared authors' approaches to the topic and their choices of style of writing. After the initial presentation of both authors, their proses and their insertion into the literary context the thesis deals with the comparison of both proses and afterwards with the comparison of their protagonists Arturo and Agostino. In the first part of the proses, the perspective of their narrative structure, setting, time and the role of the narrator are studied. Each chapter of the second part of the thesis is focused on the family relationships of the protagonists, their adolescence and awareness of their own sexuality and of their inner world. Both proses are written in the form of the novel and describe the difficult journey of teenagers towards adulthood.
