Impact of subsidies on economy of municipalities

The objective of this bachelor thesis named "Impact of subsidies on economy of municipalities" is assessing influence of subsidies that they might have on economy municipalities both in positive and negative way. The impact will be demonstrated by properly chosen indicators of financial analysis. First, theoretical part, deals with form to financial system of municipalities, where is described budget. Main target of second chapter is finding appropriate indicators and their brief explanation. Third part has been already practically oriented, there you might find analysis of budgets each municipalities in years 2005--2010 and provided by indicators of financial analysis is proving influence of received subsidies on their economy results. And the conclusion summarizes the findings.
Subsidies for farmers: Are they necessary and useful?

The entrance to the European Union caused that the Czech Republic had to accept the Common European Policy of the European Union. The objective of this work is to sum up the effectiveness of the subsidies and their utility for the farmers as well. The first part of my work focuses on the Common European Policy and its functions for the farmers, whether it is needed for functioning of the agriculture or the subsidies are more harmful for it. The second part of my work deals with one concrete farmer and his utilisation of the subsidies, especially, whether they are needful for him or he is able to manage the farm without the subsidies. Henceforth, I was engaged in his economical decisions concerned selling his products and then how the subsidies affect price of the complements, products and furthermore how the quota of the production influences him with growing products.
Energy saving financing in the CR in comparison with selected programs abroad

This master thesis is looking into problems of financing of energy saving arrangements in residential buildings. The paper concentrates on an analysis of all available sources of financing. After a brief characteristic of basic ways of financing, including Czech and foreign models, it introduces closer only a selection of the available programs, grant titles and commercial products. Then the attention is paid to more specific programs and products from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. This paper applies their program parameters to a model object of the residential building and assesses each and every option, using selected economical standards. Based on these parameters, it appraises an economical effectiveness of the investment in individual variations of financing from the point of view of an investor and a state, expressed with the price of a unit saved CO2 emission. By combining both preferential variations of an investor and a state, an optimal variation of financing for the model object is found.
Analysis of the system of subsidies to the theater in Prague

The content of this thesis is the description of the grant system in the capital city of Prague , and as one of the possible funding options theaters with regard to the financing of culture . The way financial support is strongly influenced by cultural politics in Prague. The main purpose of the grant system is a description of Prague as well as comparing the two management allowance organization representing the theaters of the city and limited liability company . A sub- goal is to describe the transformation of Prague allowance organizations , theaters. In this work the method used comparative analysis between the railing and theaters without railings.
Process analysis of a subsidy program

This Master's thesis is concerned with the process analysis of a subsidy program of a governmental institution. The main objective of this dissertation is to describe and analyze the process of a program cycle as a whole as well as its individual sub-processes. The study also elaborates on the information system (IS) utilized, in the context of subsidy management, by relevant governmental institutions. Finally, hierarchies of these IS will be illustrated and future prospects for their integration will be pondered. The dissertation's main contribution to knowledge is the final assessment of the whole process along with a proposal for its enhancement. The study is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, while procedural issue is analyzed in the first part, the subsequent section focuses on the phenomenon of subsidies itself, their common attributes and in what ways do the subsidies discussed in this study differ from other subsidies. The subsidy program is described, in line with the approved documentation, and the official objectives defined. The subsidy program under consideration is administered by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and, therefore, the dissertation includes a schematic diagram depicting the organizational structure of this governmental institution as well as the relevant Department of Budget in order to provide a better understanding of the complex processes involved. The empirical part then analyzes a particular subsidy program and its sub-programs. Finally, the dissertation assesses the whole process and proposes possible ways for its enhancement.
Co-financing of regional projects of the EU as an example Znojmo

This thesis deals with projects that were co-financed by the European Union (specifically from the Regional Operational Programme South-East) and implemented in Znojmo in the field of tourism. In the theoretical part is devoted attention to the issues and basic information about tourism, EU regional policy and the Regional Operational Programme South-East. The subject of the practical part is an analysis of the project "Discover Znojmo", the evaluation of the results of own survey and recommendation to improve the services. The survey was aimed at visitors of city and aimed to determine the level of satisfaction with a guidance and navigation system in relation to this project. In addition, the analytical part contains description of the project "Znojmo - City of Virtue". In the last chapter is designed in its own proposal, which should increase tourism in the region of Znojmo.
IMPACT OF AGRICULTURAL POLICY ON STRUCTURE OF USING LAND RESOURCES IN THE CR

The aim of this work is to analyze the impact of agriculture policy on the structure of use of the agriculture land funds in the Czech Republic since 1990 till present. The attention is paid to the impact of European agriculture subsidies, reducing the amount of the production and the production quotas of agriculture crops. The work also focuses on the impact of regulatory policy on the structural changes in plant and related livestock production. In the application section there are discussed some alternatives of use of the agriculture land fund, which occur mainly due to support of energy production from renewable sources.
Environmentally-Oriented Subsidy Programs in Czech Republic, with Example of Development and Support in Beekeeping

This thesis deals wiht the subsidies as a tool for solving positive externalities in the environmental field. The theoretical part explains the principle of externalities, and offers three variants of their solution - a system of taxes and subsidies, according to A.C. Pigou, the negotiation of compensation, according to R. Coase, and connected property. From these theoretical concepts are in reality to solve positive externalities mainly used subsidies. Selected subsidies programs for environmental protection are subject to the following analysis. Classic example of positive externality is considered pollination activity of bees. Therefore, the second half of thesis describes how this agricultural sector, beekeeping, depends on subsidies. This thesis proposes another solutions to develop and streamline the sector without the use of subsidies.
Evaluation of the efficiency of the Structural Funds in small business

This essay focuses on a project funded by the EU, focusing on professional education of the staff. The project is implemented under the OP Prague - Adaptability, No.1 priority axis. The aim is to evaluate the work throughout the project, its benefits for both employees and the company itself. The work describes the whole project from the very idea of the implementation, through the selection of an appropriate subsidy program, writing the application, the supplier selection process, implementation and completion of the project, including its evaluation.
Are agricultural subsidies provided under the EU Common Agricultural Policy effective? Case study: ZD Kosova Hora

The topic of this thesis are the subsidies granted to farmers under the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP), and assessing their economic efficiency. The aim is to analyze this issuee from the very beginning of the CAP to the present times. The theoretical part examines analysis of the effectiveness of providing subsidies in the sector of agriculture. This section pays attention to various rules of European Union, which were adopted in purpose of farmers. The practical part is a case study describing the situation of a farm which uses the subsidies of CAP. Using recent data on the subsidies and Cost Benefit Analysis, case study summarizes and considers the pros and cons of running a modern farm in EU.
