TITLE: Portability of transformation of lower secondary ICT education in England into the Czech conditions AUTHOR: Bc. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with teaching Computing subjects at secondary schools in England as a model for transformation of teaching ICT at schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on the portability of aspects of teaching Computing to the Czech environment and endeavours to identify the possible barriers to implementation processes. The aim of the thesis is to bring new stimuli for changes in the Czech ICT curriculum that are based on the experience of teaching ICT and Computing in the UK. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of the analysis and comparison of the Czech and British curricular documents and the study of academic and journalistic texts. The empirical part uses questionnaires focused on opinions of Czech and English experts on teaching ICT or Computing. It also uses interviews with English teachers of Computing and observations of Computing and ICT lessons at English secondary schools. Reflection opinions of management on the development of school education system in the Czech Republic

Thesis on Reflection opinions of management schools in the development of the education system in the Czech Republic traces the development of Czech education from the perspective of headmasters of primary and nursery schools in Prague 8, who manages the school with legal personality. It deals with the major determinants moments - social transformation, economic reform, curriculum reform, legislative changes that affected the environment of Czech education over more than twenty years. Detailed mapping the environment through competence and responsibility, opinions, attitudes and actions insight into six areas - personal characteristics of school principals, education reform, curriculum reform, school culture and school cooperation with parents and pupils, the area professionally - personal development directors from the perspective of moral dilemmas that accompanied the work of directors for more than twenty years. The drafting of teaching volleyball in high school

The diploma thesis deals with issues of teaching volleyball in high schools. It shows one of many possible methods how to include volleyball into the curriculum and into lessons of PE to the graduate teachers. This work strive for more systematic and concrete work of PE teachers in teaching volleyball, which should high school graduates encourage to an increase the requierements on the volleyball skills. In the theoretical part the reader is informed about volleyball as one of the sports games, with all gaming activities of the individual that brings volleyball and that students should be controlled using basic techniques at least. Main for the implementation of the volleyball match are basic options of hits, which are also described here. Some chapters also refer to the expected motion level of basic school and high school graduates. There is also mention of motion abilities. The end of theoretical part is about physical education classified to the educational programs. There is no specific request to involve volleyball in these educational programs. The empirical part is about the proposal of high schools education of volleyball. Volleyball teaching is divided into two grades, 10 lessons each. Issue of creating school curriculum

1 ABSTRACT: This bachelor's work covers the issue of creating school curriculum (SC). The theoretical part proceeds from the system of curriculum documents and methodology of creating SC. The next part of this work deals with analysis of seven different SC, specifically the part People and nature and Educational subject Chemistry and analysis of characteristics of Educational subject Chemistry. Sample of analysed schools consists of seven elementary schools. With connection to creating SC the next part focuses on articles that deal with this issue in specialist magazines and teachers' opinions about implementing SC into schools. It also includes dialogs with teachers that created SC for their schools. Advantages and disadvantages of implementing SC into schools emerge from these dialogues as well as valuable advices about creating the documents themselves. The conclusion of this work was creation SC for Educational subject Chemistry that is going to be used as a sample for teaching since school year 2014/2015.
Gender analysis of Civics textbooks (in relation to choice of profession)

The goal of this master's thesis "Gender analysis of textbooks" (in relation to choice of profession) is to introduce a gender analysis of three textbooks "Civics Education" used in the 8th grade of primary schools. I focus on presence of gender stereotypes and gender prejudice that could influence a choice of further education of schoolboys and schoolgirls and therefore their choice of future profession. In the thesis I consider the general education system as one of the crucial socialization tool of the society. It represents an institution that keeps power to maintain gender stereotypes and at the same time has got the power to change them. I examine illustrations and texts of mentioned textbooks through gender optics, and using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Flora of Central Europe - the use of expositions of the botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague

This bachelor work is dedicated to utilization of an exposition flora of Central Europe botanical garden of Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague for teaching biology. The work is focused especially on lessons of vascular plants - categorisation of this theme in curriculum of chosen countries of Central Europe (the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland), and curriculum of Great Britain for comparison. The work also deals with textbooks for elementary schools and grammar schools which - before the excursion itself - should present to pupils some significant plant species and characteristics of families. Student's understading of the issue Nazism ideology on the secondary school

The aim of the diploma thesis is the understanding of Nazi ideology in the context of the political science by second degree students of primary school. In the theoretical part is analyzed concept of political science curriculum in the curriculum of civics educational area of Human and society RVP ZV with focusing on the theme - Nazi ideology. There are explained basic concepts of this issue - curriculum, framework educational program, political education and ideology and their types. You will also find current communication research, which dealing with the evolution of the political thinking of second degree students of primary school. In the practical part of this work is working with selected group of students, so that can diagnose (based on own investigation) how these students understand the problems of ideology focusing on Nazism. The selected group consists of students of the ninth grade of primary school. This thesis deals with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which is almost unknown in the Czech Republic, and its application in the undergraduate course of occupational therapy. This method is widely used abroad particularly in the medical education and education of other paramedical professions. More traditional way of teaching is maintained in the Faculty of Medicine in the Czech Republic. A large amount of information from various scientific and clinical disciplines that student cannot simply connect in logical context is taught in the traditional courses. Problem-Based Learning is a method that may compensate some needs of the traditional teaching. This thesis introduces PBL and shows examples of its application in teaching occupational therapy abroad. The aim of this thesis is to determine the factors obstructing or facilitating the use of Problem-Based Learning method in the Czech Republic within the undergraduate occupational therapy curriculum, to determine the possibility of application of this method in teaching, to formulate recommendations for the implementation of PBL and to develop design of syllabus using PBL. Progress in trends of foreign pre-primary and primary schools

This dissertation deals with new approaches of alternative schooling in foreign countries which recently became very popular. These three schools and approaches chosen for this dissertation are not known in Czech Republic yet. The dissertation presents these alternative schools and proposes alternative brushing up of the ideas to the maintain schools. The first school and the first approach of alternative is democratic school or also free school. The oldest democratic school is Summerhill in the east of England. The second interesting approach and school is Te Whāriki from New Zealand. The framework deals with education through socio-cultural context. The last representative of schooling which dissertation deals with will be Reggio Emillia, which is from Italy and based on ideas of Loris Malaguzzi. The dissertation applies to main philosophies of these three alternatives, which appears abroad and mainly in Great Britain. This piece of work evaluates similarities and differences of these alternative schools. According to from which country the concrete school comes from and circumstances influencing the origin. TITLE: Student's understanding of politic concepts on secondary school ABSTRACT: This dissertation is focused on second grade pupils of elementary school how they understand the selected terms of political science. The aim of the dissertation is to diagnose the preconcepts of the pupils from two classes of the elementary schools with different social- economic conditions. The basics and terms of my work are presented in the first part: Constructivism, Preconcept , Pupil's conception of the curriculum. There is also an analysis of the political science curriculum of educational sphere Man and society RVP ZV. In the second part, there is a presentation of personal qualitative research of pupils' preconcepts, which was realised by method of structured dialog. In the conclusion, the results of the research from two different areas of the Czech Republic are being compared.
