Project: Pre-school aesthetical education "PAE"

The main topic of this diploma thesis is project called Pre-school aesthetic education "PAE", which is tought at Elementary Art School. In theoretical part are generally explained terms aesthetic, aesthetic education and their brief history, current possibilities of aesthetic education in selected Elementary Art Schools and characteristic of PAE project. Research part focus on acquisition of the project in education at Elementary Art Schools, effectiveness in the selection of artistic field in pre-school age and at least suitability of including this project into the School Education Program of other Elementary Art Schools. For the research were used empirical methods (observations, questionnaire, interviews). Overall results of research are based on comparison and evaluation of the answers from all respondent categories. These results show positive evaluation of PAE, which suitably fills the pre-school period of children with meaningful activities, which are connected with comprehensive development of personality. Extensive appendix brings closer view to the work of children in PAE classes. It contains scanned pictures, newspaper articles and patterns of questionnaires. Folk-song in pedagogy for pre-school children

The thesis concerns practical possibilities how to work with folk-songs not only for building-up the musical skills of pre-school children but also for the influence of their overall personal development. The theoretical part describes the folk-song development in RVP PV, particular musical activities working with songs and this part also mentions the devolepment of pre- school child(e)ren abilities and shortly describes the personality of pre-school pedagogue. The practical part concerns how to work with the folk-song in practice. The concrete example (set of songs) shows how is possible to develop children's personality via musical activities. Songs contain practial topics according to defined aims, which are realised in the concrete nursery school. Subsequently are recorded children's reactions at implemented activities. Fine Motor Skills Testing of Children in the Preschool Age Visiting Montessori Kindergarten by the battery test MABC-2

Title of the Bachelor Thesis: Fine Motor Skills Testing of Children in the Preschool Age Visiting Montessori Kindergarten by the Battery Test MABC-2 The Aim of the Thesis: We will measure fine motor skills of children in preschool age visiting Montessori kindergarten. We will compare measured results with children who visit common kindergartens. Method: We used battery test MABC-2 for measuring. We also used data from measuring fine motor skills among children from selection of kindergartens in Prague. This research is done by Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. and has not been publishet yet. We also used data presented by Mr. Ludvík Valtr. We compared results between children from the Montessori kindergarten and children visiting prague kindergartens- sample one. Then we compared our results with results from the Diploma thesis by Mr. Ludvík Valtr- sample two. Results and Discussion: We found statistically significant result only in measuring of motor skill number one. In first mentioned sample we found better results between children from common kindergartens. In second mentioned sample we found better results between children from the Montessori kindergarten. We can not confirm or disprove the hypothesis where we expected significantly better results between children visiting Montessori kindergarten....
Scrap material creations

A series of art tasks is designed for the Centre for preschool children, established by the Children and Youth Centre in Prague. The common denominator designed creative tasks is to use scrap materials, especially plastics, and paper and textiles. The theoretical basis of this work is ecological, environmental and global education in the context of RVP PV and RVP ZV.
Professional competencies of nursery school teachers

The thesis deals with the professional competencies of teachers of nursery schools. The theoretical part focuses on contemporary education of nursery school teachers and its history in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on professional competencies. Besides defining the concept of professional competence and their various concepts. Czech education preschool teachers is contrasted with the situation in Europe. The main aim of the research part of the thesis is to describe the differences between differently educated teachers of kindergartens within the conceptualization of professional competencies. The investigation is specifically compared how teachers assess the importance of professional competence and adequacy of their development in the initial training. The survey includes pilot study and private research. Pilot study includes data collection questionnaires and structured interviews for the four case studies with differently educated preschool teachers. Own research is realized in the form of questionnaires with different educated preschool teachers and structured interviews with experts on preschool education. Transparency film and pre-school education at the time of the socialist experiment.

The bachelor's paper is concerned with the problem of using transparency film as a visual technical medium in kindergartens in the 1960s and 1970s. It deals with transparency film as a means of communication, shows the pedagogical presuppositions of using transparency films in kindergartens. The paper describes and analyses the place of transparency film within the educational process in kindergartens on the example of a collection of transparency films designed for kindergartens from the point of view of methodical preparation and relationship to the educational goals of socialist pedagogy. A collection of 25 transparency films for kindergarten was studied. The analysed collection was found to be methodically very well prepared to become an effective means of socialist education in kindergartens, suitable also for lower grades of primary schools.
Educational drama and the teacher in a kindergarten

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na dramatickou výchovu, její uplatnění v mateřské škole i na samotného pedagoga. Zkoumá cesty jak, se dramatická výchova dostane k učiteli v mateřské škole, jaké metody a techniky se dají v mateřské škole využívat a co obnáší práce s dramatickou výchovou pro pedagoga. Praktická část je kombinací kvalitativního a kvantitativního výzkumu. Metodami výzkumu je dotazník pro učitele/ky mateřských škol a dále je zde popsán mnou vedený dvoudenní projekt konkrétní skupiny dětí v mateřské škole, kdy zkoumám účinnost metod a technik dramatické výchovy v praxi. Cílem práce je ukázat důležitost dramatické výchovy v mateřských školách, její nezastupitelnost v rozvoji osobnostním   i společenském.
Sense perception development of preschool children within the environmental education

The thesis deals with processing of information about the development of sensory perception of pre-school children by means of environmental education. The theoretical part includes classification of environmental education in the curriculum and part about sense perception development. For each senses, there is a short description of its function, the most frequent disturbances and rehearsing for improves it. Some examples of activities for perceptions and environmental education, that are proper for creating programs in kindergarten, are suggested in the practical part. Two integrated programs are created and evaluated in the last part of thesis.
