Title: Development of improvement in muscle strength, coordination and speed in sport climbing in children of elementary school age Objectives: The aim of this diploma theses is to investigate whether there will be an improvement of muscle strength, coordination and speed in children of elementary school age who attend club of sport climbing and compare results with control group. Another aim of this study is to indicate the relationship between the examined parameters. Methods: This is a quantitative study - quasi-experiment in which 28 probands aged 7-11 years participated. They were deliberately selected and divided into two groups (climbers, non-climbers). Coordination measurements were performed using eight special tests, measurements of muscle strength were performed using three climbing tests and speed was measured by time of climbing on one route. The measurements were performed two with an interval of 3 months - in October 2019 and in January 2020. Results: A statistically significant improvement (p <0.001) was noted in coordination, specifically in rhythmic ability. Other improvements, which, however, no longer reached the level of statistical significance, was recorded in coordination in tests for differentiation ability, orientation ability, ability to rebuild; also in tests for muscle...

Experimental study of artificial articular cartilage friction
Kulíšek, Vlastimil ; Ranuša, Matúš (referee) ; Rebenda, David (advisor)
Many conventional materials are used to replace damaged articular cartilage, which are beginning to be replaced by innovative biomimetic materials that mimic cartilage properties. One of these materials are poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) hydrogels crosslinked by freeze-thawing and cast-drying method. These hydrogels possess similar mechanical as articular cartilage. In order to clarify the effect of kinematic conditions on the friction of hydrogels, three levels of sliding speed and load and a uniform lubricant – PBS were chosen. The coefficient of friction of the FT hydrogel decreased with increasing load. The dependence of the sliding speed did not show a uniform trend and corresponded to the adsorption-repellent model for PVA gels. The coefficient of friction of the CD hydrogel increased with increasing sliding speed according to the repulsion-adsorption model for PVA gels. The increase in load at low sliding speeds of CD hydrogel caused a slight decrease in the coefficient of friction. At the highest speed, there was an optimal load at which a low coefficient of friction was achieved. The CD hydrogel showed a lower coefficient of friction than cartilage. The FT hydrogel achieved a lower coefficient of friction than cartilage only at 5 N and 10 mm s- 1. This work contributes to the understanding of the tribological properties of PVA hydrogels.
Brake mean effective pressure of an internal-combustion engine for passengers cars and motorcycles
Vopršal, Oldřich ; Svída, David (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this work is to discuss the meaning, definition and mapping of the characteristics of the value of the mean effective pressure depending on the historical development of internal combustion engines of automobiles and motorcycles from the initial concepts to the current development. In this work I want to compare and evaluate the values of the mean effective pressure for non-supercharged and supercharged piston combustion cars and motorcycles. Part of the work will be a graphical representation of the values of mean effective pressures and subsequent analysis and evaluation of the values against the design concept of the internal combustion engine in the historical period. Furthermore, a description of the structural elements that contribute to the increase of the mean effective pressure.
ABS Impact to Behavior of Vehicle
Zich, Jakub ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The bachelor thesis discusses the Anti-lock braking system and its impact on braking distance of a vehicle. The thesis contains research of this problem, a summary of suitable modeling tools, solution draft, its implementation in the UPPAAL modeling tool and tests performed with the model. The tests examine the course of progression of basic quantities associated with braking (velocity, braking distance, slip, angular velocity, friction coefficient) in simulations of emergency braking with and without the use of ABS, and compare the results. They also verify probability of the vehicle stopping in different circumstances on given distance. Lastly, the model can simulate brake or sensor defect, and results of those simulations can be compared to simulations without defect.

Speed Abilities of Athletes 10 - 14 year old
Vodička, Tomáš ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Speed abilities of 10 - 14 year old athletes Aims: The aim of the work is to assess the speed abilities of selected children from athletics categories U12 and U14. We are mainly interested in the percentage improvement of the monitored group of athletes as a whole, individual categories and individual athletes. We also determine the size of the relation of individual outputs (correlation). Methods: We uses the method of analysis and comparison to obtain the results. The tests were selected and adapted to test the speed and strength abilities of the athletes. For our purposes, we chose 3 tests (50m PVS, long jump from the place, optojump SQJ and CMJ). Each athlete participated in at least 5 testing during 1.6 - 1.7 years. Results: Most athletes improved their performance during the testing period. We found the tightness of the relation between individual test performances and somatic values. The tightness of the relation between the performance in the 50m PVS test and the long jump from the site was found to be tight with the tightness of the relation between the performances in the 50m PVS test and the performances in the SQJ / CMJ optojump tests. For testing speed-strength performances for categories up to 14 years is suffice 50m PVS test and a long jump from the spot. The SQJ and CMJ...
