Medication of prescribed opioid analgesics in combination with alcohol or other illegal drug in age group of 50 - 64 years

Background Based on the gathered data from the previous pilot study and the results of this study we proceeded to the following study which is being focused on the surveillance of the age group 50 - 64 years in the area of prescribed opioid analgesics. Alongside with this, we explored in what possible combinations the medications can be used by the chronic pain patients in the current moment. Methods The base of the research was the qualitative study which was performed by the half-structured deep interview with the participants from the chronic pain patients. The interviews were carried out during the year 2011. Within the main study were pursued two quantitative substudii during the January and March 2012. The first study was focused on the questionnaire survey about the number of the chronic pain patients in the Czech Republic. The second substudy followed the chronic pain patients and their influence by the environmental conditions with the help of the questionnaire in case of the combinations among the prescribed opioid analgesics with alcohol or non-alcohol addictive drugs. In thesis we are trying to define period of old age, status of of old people and problems they may face in society. Focus is aimed mainly on prejudice and stereotypes that are still present in our society towards elderly people. Aging of population and rising of middle period of life needs new view and approach of society towards elderly people and need to raise productive time of older people. To change participation of elderly people in society and other aspects of life of society we need to change the approach of young generation but also the approach of older generation. Goal of this thesis is therefor bring new knowledge and opinions on the old age and situation of elderly people in society. Interprete and define social positivism and desirable role of elderly people towards younger but also older generation. The abuse of sedatives and hypnotics from the user's perspective

Background: Sedatives and hypnotics are substances to calm or relieve anxiety and to induce sleep. Long term prescription of benzodiazepines/Z-drugs may lead to the development of tolerance and the need to increase the dose. It is important to be aware of the risks of uncontrolled use of these drugs, such as harmful interactions with other substances, side effects and potential for abuse or addiction. Aim: The aim of this research was to describe abuse of sedatives and hypnotics from the user's perspective, to focus on circumstances leading to drug abuse, to describe beginning and course of the use of these drugs and self-awareness of the problem. The aim was also to describe the current state of users and their needs. Sample: The research sample consisted of 6 participants, of which 4 women and 2 men currently or recently using sedatives and hypnotics (specifically benzodiazepines/Z-drugs). Methods: Data were collected through a qualitative approach using a semi-structured interview. Traumatic experiences of children in the context of the Czech republic

The topic of the work is the traumatic experiences of children in the context of the Czech Republic. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to get acquainted with the influence on behavior and education after experiencing traumatic experiences, describes the typical forms and manifestations that belong to the negative experiences in childhood as is mental, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, but also substance abuse by a household member or suicide of a family member. The theoretical part also draws attention to the possible impact on the child after experiencing traumatic experiences, in the areas of education or behavior. The work emphasizes the importance of prevention of this social problem and presents legislative support, crisis lines, centers and support in the field of education. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of anonymous questionnaires. The Nursery School Teacher´s Awerness of the CAN syndrome

The aim of this work is to find out the awareness of kindergarten teachers about Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN). What do kindergarten teachers think of battered, abused and neglected children, what percentage of teachers have experienced with a child with CAN in their practice, what procedures do teachers have in dealing with the occurrence of a child with CAN, and how the teachers perceive the announcement itself when they suspect CAN. In addition, the goal is a deeper insight into this issue. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis contains chapters related to CAN, its forms, typical manifestations, etc. It also contains information about the role of kindergarten teachers in the given issue and also the legislative anchoring of the whole issue. In the practical part there is the research problem being solved: What is kindergarten teachers' awareness of CAN? The results of a mixed research are presented here. The questionnaire method is used for the quantitative part, the research sample is made up of kindergarten teachers. The interview method is used for qualitative research. The interview is conducted with a kindergarten teacher who has already met the CAN.
