Cooperative learning and the Results of Pupils

The aim of this theoretical-empirical thesis was to examine the principles of cooperative teaching while working on business letters within the lessons of Commercial-legal Correspondence at secondary school. The main objective of the research was to compare student's results - students' marking in two groups of students following the different types of educational methods: cooperation and non-cooperation. Motivation to study french language at the high school

This diploma thesis focuses on the motivation of students at high school to study french language. The aim is to discover how is possible to motivate students in french language teaching. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part describes motivation to study french from the point of view of her three main components: learning, social environment of school and character of french language. The practical part has research form and explores what motivate students at high school to study french, compares motivation for this language at elementary school contrary to high school and compares english to french at high school. The main explored aspects of motivation in research part were: the reasons to study, measure of motivation, teaching environment, surrounding environment of french language, forms of teaching, social influence and barriers in studying french language. How Czechs perceive homosexual partnership.

This bachelor thesis focuses on men's attitudes towards homosexuality as a correlating element in constructing a social approach to homosexuality. I focused my research on men with Czech citizenship aged 35 to 50 years. The research was applied qualitative data analysis using grounded theory modeled by A. L. Strauss and J. Corbin. In order to increase the theoretical sensitivity, which is essential for understanding the topic, I used the specialized literature focusing on gender and methodology. It was presented in the first, theoretical part. In the second part there were mentioned methodological concepts, on which the third research part is based, where the data obtained from semi-structured interview were analyzed. Research has shown that the attitudes of respondents are inconsistent; however, a significant influence on their semblance has the participation of men in masculine groups.
Close Social Ties and their Role in Virtual

This thesis deals with the functioning of virtual communities in relation to social capital of their members gained in this environment. The issue of virtual communities is embedded in a broader discussion about the form of community life in modern society and about the impact of new media on social behavior, individual identity and association. Attention is paid to linking the virval environment with the real environment through offline meetings and how this affects social ties between users and life of community. Based on the case study of specific community formed around game-literary server www.darkage.cz, thesis analyzes the influence of close social ties between users on the functioning of the community within its evolution in time.
Everyday Life during social transformation: Sociability and Social Relations of inhabitants of the inner city in Brno and Ostrava

1 Abstract This thesis deals with everyday life in major cities during the post-socialist transformation in the Czech Republic. It aims to contribute to our understanding of the everyday life of the inhabitants of Brno and Ostrava during the period and to explain the impact of the post- socialist transformation on their lives and social relations. The results are based on extensive fieldwork (i.e., a questionnaire survey and structured interviews of the inhabitants of the inner cities) conducted in Brno and Ostrava in 2007-2009. The fieldwork was based on ethnographic work describing the sociability and social relations of the inhabitants of the inner cities, with an emphasis on kinship and neighbourly relations. During the post-socialist transformation, Brno and Ostrava underwent a variety of significant changes, ranging from industrial transformation to lifestyle adjustments. They had developed differently both during and prior to socialism. For example, Ostrava became focused mainly on heavy industry, while Brno had a more varied economic structure. Use of Ergotherapy for People with Mental disabilities in Social therapeutic workshop

The bachelor's thesis deals with ergotherapy for people with mental disabilities in social therapeutic workshop. It is focused on mental disability, social therapeutic workshop characterization and above all it shows ergotherapy as one of possible ways of working with people with disability. New skill acquisition in the workshop contributes to the development and preservation of abilities of people with mental disabilities. That also helps to improve their quality of life. The main target of the bachelor thesis is to present a specific therapeutic program for selected clients focuses on development of cognitive functions and fine motor skills. At described cases of two clients with moderate mental disability it was shown how different can be the benefits of ergotherapy treatment. For one client the ergotherapy meant rather meaningful time spending and fine motor skills development and for the other more likely time to learn technological procedures which can be used in the future employment. This concrete case confirmed the necessity of long-term care for mentally disabled clients to have enough time to teach them necessary skills. Social relationships and people with mild intellectual disabilities

1 Abstract The diploma thesis clarifies the specifics of establishing social relationships ofpeople with mild intellectual disabilities. The aim of the work is to understand the specifics of establishing social relationships for people with mild intellectual disabilities, to understand in depth how people with mild intellectual disabilities perceive the possibilities of gaining and maintaining social ties. The first part summarizes the findings from the study of available literature related to this topic. In the second part, using a qualitative research survey, which used the method of interviewing respondents with mild intellectual disabilities who live in sheltered housing, seeks answers to the questions that were asked at the beginning of the research survey. An e-mail interview with two sexual confidants working in the organization was used to supplement the information obtained from the respondents. Qualitative research was chosen due to the nature of the target group. The results of the work are based on analysis of the mentioned interviews with respondents and they are supplemented by information from the sexual confidants.
