Proposal for Changes of Human Resource Management in a Company

The diploma thesis is focused on the area of human resource management in the company, the theoretical background of the thesis describes human resource management, personnel activities, employee satisfaction and risk analysis. In the problem analysis, a selected company is examined, a survey of employee satisfaction with human resource management, SWOT analysis and risk analysis are conducted. In the design section, recommendations are proposed for the selected company based on the information found. These recommendations include increasing wages, implementing loyalty rewards, implementing sick days, increasing the Christmas contribution, setting lower bonuses for new employees, informing employees about benefits, setting up regular meetings between executives and manager, and taking advantage of digital recruiment opportunities.

This thesis examines the current state of employee satisfaction in a small business in relation to human resource management. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on definitions and explanations of key concepts such as work motivation, job satisfaction, engagement and dedication, which are necessary to understand the context of the issue. The analytical part of the thesis presents the results of a qualitative research conducted through interviews with employees to examine their satisfaction with their current management. Finally, based on the analysis of the interviews, the thesis provides specific recommendations for the company management on how to improve the working environment and increase employee satisfaction in the form of recommendations for possible changes and improvements in the current personnel management system.

The aim is to present proposals and address deficiencies that will lead to increased employee motivation and their retention within the company. The theoretical part of the thesis defines key concepts that will be utilised in subsequent sections. The practical part includes an introduction to the selected company and focusses on the current incentive system of benefits and overall employee satisfaction. Quantitative research will lead to establishing proposals and measures related to establishing an appropriate reward system, boosting employee motivation and satisfaction.

The diploma thesis focuses on the motivational system within a selected company. This system is explored through a qualitative research and analysis of employee satisfaction. A deductive-inductive approach is used in the research, and data are collected using unstandardized questioning techniques combined with individual semi-structured interviews involving 18 employees, the company owner, and an HR representative. The analysis reveals that employees are primarily dissatisfied with the flexibility of the workplace and working hours, transparency in remuneration, the setup of performance bonuses, the lack of sick days and pension insurance benefits and communication. Therefore, the proposal section outlines measures to increase flexibility, reset internal wage regulations and performance bonuses, expand employee benefits, and improve communication.
Total reward model in the context of strategic remuneration

The thesis examines the importance of the total rewards model in the context of strategic reward and employee satisfaction. It is based on the assumption that the principles of strategic reward contribute to higher employee satisfaction. The specific focus of the thesis is on the total reward model, which represents an integrated approach to employee remuneration and is considered one of the strategic elements and trends in remuneration. The theoretical background of the thesis describes such areas of human resource management that are directly related to remuneration, especially employee evaluation, commitment, motivation and last but not least specific individual forms of transactional and relational remuneration. The empirical part of the thesis investigates the relationship between employee satisfaction and the application of the total rewards model to a specific group of employees in company XY. For the purpose of testing the hypotheses and meeting the objectives of the thesis, a questionnaire survey was mainly used to supplement the information generated by the analysis of internal and public documents of company XY. Theoretical part sumarizes a literature review which is neccesary for implying the conclusions from practical part of this thesis. This particular part deals with employee satisfaction connected with benefits and wages. The research itself includes an own questionnaire survey wchich leads to analysis of current situation and it subsequentely suggests possible measures and solutions for increasing the employee satisfaction and decreasing the fluctuation in XYZ company.
