Monitoring and Analysis of Users Using DLP System
László, Peter ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Drozd, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of this work is presenting Data Loss Prevention systems, describing each element of it and writing down advantages and disadvantages of these systems. This document contains required knowledge about filter drivers and I/O request packets. According to this knowledge it is possible to design a user application, which based on the principles of Data Loss Prevention systems is able to prevent sensitive data from leaks. Created application is a mini-filter driver, which allows tracking operations of marked files with monitoring and filtering IRP packets. This document also contains detailed desing, implementation, testing and reviewing of created program.
Linux Keylogger
Pivarník, Jozef ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis collaborates on methods of logging key strokes in linux kernel in order to reveal secret passwords. Two methods are presented, both of which are useful for specific purpose. While the first one is effective in catching passwords typed in linux terminal environment, the other one intercepts every key stroke, even in a graphical user interface, and is designed to be working on the lowest level.
RedirFS - Application on Data Encryption
Zůna, Pavel ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on design and implementation of a cryptographic filter for the Redirecting Filesystem Framework (RedirFS for short) in the form of a Linux kernel module. It starts by giving the reader a general overview of modern cryptography and encryption. Before diving into the filter specifics, it takes a tour of the most important features of RedirFS. When done with introductory chapters, it describes the design choices made considering their benefits and limitations. The final chapter is completely devoted to cipherflt: a proof of concept implementation of the cryptographic filter.
Memory Testing on SGI/MIPS Architecture
Rydlo, Karol ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
Work is engaged in making solution for creating own memory tests on graphical station SGI O2. This thesis produces work on MIPS processor architecture and it try to find the ideal environments for testing memory and with it is nearly related looking for chances of start and compile application for SGI O2. Part of my thesis is also target using cross-compilers, for effective and useful work with program for other architecture.
Extending RedirFS to Userspace
Pírko, Jiří ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to consider the rigth way how to make a user space extension of RedirFS, which works as a Linux kernel module and implement it. There is described a model of user and kernel spaces used in Linux and how this two spaces can communicate with each other. There are several communication mechanisms described with a description of use. Bandwidth and latency tests for all these mechanisms are implemented. Measurement results are presented and the suitable mechanism is chosen. The second part of the thesis is focused on redirctl and urfs. The first solution represents the RedirFS control tool, the second is the implementation of user space filters.
User Oriented QoS System
Plchot, Oldřich ; Matoušek, Petr (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the possibilities how to guarantee the quality of service in the area of computer networks using a GNU/Linux operating system. This work compares and evaluates tools which are necessary to guarantee the quality of service. The goal of this work is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these tools and to design a system which handles the problem of quality of service. Designed system uses a heuristics, which allows the user to set up the quality of service system without studying specific properties of communication protocols on the network or application layer. This work also includes a theoretical introduction into the quality of service and computer networks.
Porting of RedirFS on Other OS
Zelený, Miroslav ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis describes process of RedirFS portation to FreeBSD operating system. Source operating system is Linux. Those two operating systems are described from VFS view to determine differences and needed modifications. Then follows implementation of port.
Custom Compiled Fedora
Blažek, Jan ; Rogalewicz, Adam (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and implementation of toolchain for compilation and installation of RPM packages from SRPM packages in Fedora Linux distribution. Tools can be set up to modify compiler options and rpm macros. A tool for custom compilation of Linux kernel was also implemented. This tool builds the kernel with default options or according to configuration supplied by user. The toolchain was used to create customized distribution. Resulting distribution contains these tools for compilation and installation of additional software.
T-Mobile MDA II in Linux
Michl, Zbyněk ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
MSc. thesis deals with mobile digital assistant T-Mobile MDA II running Linux operating system. The first part presents device identification and parameters' specification of the MDA II. The second part focuses on selection of GNU distribution with Linux bootloader and Linux kernel support comparison. The subject of the last part is MDA II component code implementation and its merging into Linux kernel.
Design and Implementation of Real-Time Operating System Kernels Running on HC08
Bednář, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The project is aimed at testing the kernels of real-time OS within the HC08 platform. The RM, EDF and polled loop mechanisms are being compared as well as freely available FreeRSTOS and QP systems. The project also incorporates descriptions of techniques used in the development, obtaining and the implementation of test environments. The evaluation is based on the tests made within the HC08 platform and the knowledge gained from the programming for every individual type of real-time OS.
