Tichý, Daniel ; Kramperová, Veronika (advisor) ; Kaľata, Maroš (referee)
Title: The Effect of Plyometric Training on Land and in Water on the Physical Fitness of Youth Soccer Players Objectives: The aim of this study is to develop a plyometric training program on land and in water and assess its affects on changes in the physical fitness components of U10 and U11 category soccer players. Methods: Twenty-six male participants (10 ± 0.5 years) were included in the study. The research sample was divided into an experimental and a control group. The experimental group (n = 12) underwent a 12-week plyometric training program on land and in water, with a frequency of 1 session per week lasting 60 minutes. The control group (n = 14) did not undergo any intervention. The levels of speed and endurance abilitis, flexibility of the lumbar spine and muscles of the posterior thigh group, explosive strength of the lower limbs, muscular endurance of the abdominal muscles, and static postural stability were assessed before and after the experimental period. Results: The study demonstrated that plyometric training on land and in water significantly increases agility with directional changes (p = 0.01), enhances explosive strength of the lower limbs (p = 0.01), improves postural stability (p = 0.02), and enhances flexibility (p = 0.004). Masár, Šimon ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Title: Preventing ACL injuries in football training Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out how the implementation team of a football team deals with injury prevention and ACL injury prevention in their players and how they are able to implement them in the training process. Methods: In the theoretical part, the thesis includes a detailed study of the existing literature focused on injuries, anatomy and biomechanics of the ACL, follow-up procedures, risk factors and prevention when this type of injury occurs. In the practical part, an anonymous questionnaire method was used, targeting the members of the implementation team, where both open and closed multiple choice questions related to the subject matter were used. However, only 16% are dedicated to specific ACL injury prevention. There were findings that 64% apply one training unit in the gym. This is dominated by strengthening exercises (31%), compensatory (21%) and stabilization (19%). A larger half (60%) reported that their player's ACL injury had occurred. Jelínek, Martin ; Pravečková, Petra (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Internal motivation of football players in the older preparatory category in comparison with selected football skills Aims: The main aim of the thesis was to investigate the association between the level of internal motivation and the level of soccer skills in the senior pre-school category, specifically in the senior pre-school age category, which is specified for the U10 and U11 categories in soccer. Another aim was to compare football skills between these categories. Furthermore, we examined the relationship between whether players have experience in other sports and football testing results. Other objectives were to introduce concepts such as motivation, soccer, individual game activities, younger school age or characteristics of a selected age category of older prep school players. Methods: To evaluate the internal motivation of tested players we used a standardized Sport motivation scale questionnaire from which we selected only questions related to internal motivation. To test the selected football skills, we constructed a test battery that included three different tests. Specifically, a test focusing on ball management, a test focusing on passing accuracy, and a final test that focused on shooting accuracy. Results: no significant statistical relationship was found between the level...

Matyáš, Vojtěch ; Kantová, Klára (advisor) ; Pertold-Gebicka, Barbara (referee)
Football clubs acquire players on the transfer market to achieve better sports performance. The relationship between transfer spending and results is not de- cidedly established, and the current research suggests that wage expenditure is a better predictor of sports results. This thesis examines the impact the char- acteristics of the incoming players, such as age, country of origin, or position on the pitch, have on sports performance. Part of the thesis also examines the difference in impact across performance levels. We used a dataset consisting of fifty selected Teams from the top four leagues of English football between the seasons 2001/2002 and 2020/2021 for our analysis. The results confirm the relationship between sports-related spending, meaning wage and transfer ex- penditures, and sports results. However, a relationship was also found between other selected independent variables and sports performance. Next, we also found differences between Teams at different performance levels.
