Image of Czech family in weekly Reflex and Respekt in volume 1993 and 2008
Nováková, Marie ; Jungová, Eliška (advisor) ; Wolák, Radim (referee)
The diploma thesis "Image of Czech family in Weekly Reflex and Respekt in Volume 1993 and 2008" concentrates on family in the Czech Republic and how it is reflected by two weekly, Reflex and Respekt, in two observed years, 1993 and 2008. In the first ,theoretical part, there is a historical overview of Czech family and launch and developement of both magazines. The second, practical part, is the research itself. The method used for the research was the qualitative interpretative analysis. Each article was coded by a name of each theme group that is connected with problems of Czech family. The developement of magazines was defined by analysing changes and movements of each group between the years 1993 and 2008. These differences are caused by both socioeconomic changes and developement of political landscape within the Czech society as well as individual experience of particular journalists and editorial offices.
Introduction of microbiological diagnostic agents of invasive infections - Bartonella henselae and Bartonella quintana
Nováková, Marie ; Melter, Oto (advisor) ; Chrenková, Vanda (referee)
Bartonellae are agents of infections with varied clinical symptomalogy, including serious, such as endocarditis. Direct detection of Bartonella so far in the Czech Republic and therefore does not need to address this issue. Proper diagnosis of these infections is a prerequisite for targeted antibiotic therapy for patients. The genus Bartonella today are more than 20 kinds of bacteria. They are small Gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria that cause the new emerging infections such as cat scratch disease (CSD), showing the typical regional lymphadenitis, as well as bacillary angiomatosis (BA), whose typical symptoms are skin and subcutaneous nodules (nodules). They also cause a disease called trench fever or South American bartonelosis. In the experimental part of the work was performed genotypic and phenotypic methods for the diagnosis of these bacteria, specifically on two types of Bartonella, Bartonella henselae and Bartonella quintana . The results show that by suitable methods to diagnose Bartonella are amplification genus- specific genes ribC and ftsZ, further embodiment of a method pulsed electrophoresis (PFGE) as typing method and the determination of susceptibility to antibiotics, the most appropriate testing showed E-test. This work was carried out optimization of genotypic and phenotypic...
Study of Tram Track in the Veveří Street
Nováková, Anna-Marie ; Janík, Jiří (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
This thesis deals with the relocation of the tram line No. 12 from Kounicova to Veveří Street in Brno city. The No. 12 line will run together with lines No. 3 and No. 11. The proposed line is run in the local communications area. At the intersection of Veveří with Pod Kaštany Street, line No. 12 will be disconnected using the tram triangle, then it will run along Pod Kaštany and Šumavská Streets to Kounicova Street, where it will be reconnected to the original line and with the help of another tram triangle there will be a possibility to continue by the planned track along Šumavská Street. The goal of this thesis is to propose a design of tram superstructure construction, provide a solution for surrounding roads and propose the location of stops, including access to them.
Mental hygiene as a field of personality and vocational development of future primary teachers
Nováková, Marie ; Krčmářová, Tereza (advisor) ; Hejlová, Helena (referee)
My diploma thesis deals with the issue of mental hygiene as a field of personality and vocational development of future primary teachers. The aim of theoretical part is to summarize the facts about teacher's profession, which are an argument for systematic mental hygiene development of teacher students. One of the goals is to describe the study of teaching as my respondents in empirical part are future teachers. The next aim is to find answers to what attitudes, knowledge and skills should teachers have to be able to prevent burnout syndrome, to be resistant to stress and to be active in their approach to personality and professional development. The practical part was realized by a mixed research among students of the primary teaching who are in the 1st and the 5th grade. The research questions were: What is the approach of the students of teaching to the personality development in the 1st grade and in the 5th grade? What are the competencies of the future primary teachers in the 1st grade and in the 5th grade in a burnout area? To what extent do the future primary teachers know in the 1st grade and in the 5th grade about the risk of burnout (what does it cause, what are the manifestations of burnout and how to prevent it)? Data were collected by the questionnaire method. My research shows that...
Influence of cervical spinal cord lesion on cardiovascular fitness
Machač, Stanislav ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (referee) ; Nováková, Marie (referee)
Traumatic damage to the cervical spinal cord has a dramatic impact on determinants affecting cardiovascular fitness. In tetraplegia, in addition to diminished skeletal muscle function, impaired sympathetic cardiovascular innervation together with a dysfunction of catecholamine release is typically present. Individuals with tetraplegia are at a high risk of long-term inactivity, which increasingly contributes to the development of common civilization diseases. The aim of the current dissertation project is to investigate the cardiovascular fitness in males with cervical spinal cord injury (n=20) as compared to able- bodied males (n=27). Both groups completed exercise testing on an arm-crank ergometer. Arterial blood pressure response to exercise, peak oxygen consumption and peak heart rate were the primary outcome variables. In the first part of the study, a graded maximal arm- crank ergometer test to the subjective exhaustion was performed for the inter-group peak exercise comparison. The peak power dramatically differs between the groups and could be an important confounding factor limiting the evaluation of a physiologic response related to the equivalent physical loading. Therefore, in the second part of the study, individuals of the control group completed a second graded arm-crank ergometer...
