Activating function of a didactic game in the foreign language education at primary school

The thesis focuses on using the activating function of a didactic game as a method in the English lessons at primary school. It looks for the arguments supporting using the game at school, the obstacles causing problems using it and suggests possible solutions. The research part seeks different usage of didactic games in real environment, different favour of particular types of games and their relationship to the educational aim. There are found connections between children's age and their positive feelings towards different kinds of games and their ability to reach the educational aim.
Stress indicators influencing children at school

Diploma thesis follows stress factors impact on a child at primary school, on his health and mental conditions and then the implication of the learning process and integrating the child into a children's collective. The theoretical part contains information dealing with forms of stress in general, potential stressors for the child, the consequences of stress on the human organism. The practical part investigates the experiences with stress factors of pupils that are somehow connected with their school life. As a result of the diploma thesis is to share basic advices for teachers on how to prevent stress at school and their pupils and how to work with the stressed child. key words: stress of children, education, school climate
Differentiation of teaching in a class of a primary school by a learning task

The thesis focuses on differentiation of teaching by learning tasks at primary school. The theoretical background deals with possible ways how to effectively use learning tasks for children's development and to motivace them to the other activity. Furhemore it includes competencies which enable teachers to differentiate them to create variants of learning tasks. The practical background seeks which didactic variants of learning tasks teachers use in their teaching. Risk Factors within Interaction of Novice Primary Teacher with Pupil

This diploma thesis deals with novice primary teachers' interaction with pupils. The aim of the thesis is to find out which strategies prevent lack of discipline and to compare methods of novice teachers with experienced teachers. It also deals with classroom management and teachers' ethics.
Pedagogical feedback in didactic games during the first period of primary school

This thesis deals with didactic game in the first two grades of primary school with an emphasis on getting the feedback. The information processed in the theoretical part contains an analysis of childhood game from a psychological point of view, also relevant to the specifics of educational game, its preparation and subsequent teaching process. Furthermore it deals with principles involved in the feedback management and its benefits for pupils and for teacher. The practical part describes the actual situation of the educational game implementation during classwork in three different educational programs. It is supplemented by interviews with teachers and pupils and my own pedagogical action research.
Discipline problems during classroom management

The thesis is entitled ,,Disciplinary problems in school management class.'' The goal is verify the functionality of educational proces, which is based particular the methods and techniques of drama that can be used in school practice and from which it can be expected contribute to the formation of positive relationships and reducing disciplinary problems. The theoretical part evaluated the concept of discipline in the classroom, prevention of disorderly behaviors and drama education as a prevention of disciplinary problems. The practical part is divided according to different research methods, whichc ar described in a detail and analyzed. Finally the end of the thesis demonstrate the evaluation of targets and their validation.
Differentiation in school curriculum at primary school

The thesis is focused on differentiation in school curriculum at primary schools. Its aim is to describe the conditions and schemes of differentiation in school curriculum at selected primary schools in Prague and to confirm if and how they are fullfilled in the classes. It is focused mainly on care for the groups of children to whom differentiation is highly recommended. These are children with specific educational needs and talented children. The practical part of the thesis presents results of qualitative research in casuistries of selected Prague primary schools, their school curriculum and practical use of the differentiation of education in their classes. The casuistries contain descriptions of functional and tested models of individualization and differentiation at these schools. Of organizational structures (as they are described in theory) combinations of these are used most often: intrinsic differentiation (in common classes) - individually or in groups (sometimes with pedagogical assistant) and group extrinsic differentiation, that is formed as special care for children either with specific educational needs or talented children. Beginning Teacher at the first grade of primary school

Diploma thesis addresses the issue of initial training of beginning teachers of primary school in Czech schools. Defines the requirements for successful integration of new employees, as well as suggesting possible standard procedures, methods and assesses the possibility of their use in the school environment. It describes the role of supervising teacher and the meaning of its existence. The task of the practical part is to find out with which kinds of educational activities beginning teachers have problems. In interviews with experienced teachers, we tried to clarify whether at the time of their beginnings had the same problems as current teachers and we wonder on what skills and knowledge should be students of faculties of education trained better. Primary school pupils and their system of values according to their reading preferences

This diploma thesis focuses on the value system of primary school pupils and its connection to reading preferences. The terms "value" and "system of values" are being defined from the perspective of several social sciences. Apart from that, the stages of pupils' morality development are being described, as well as the acquisition of reading skills and the importance of reading during leisure time activities. The practical part evaluates the outcomes of survey examining the relation between the pupils' system of values and their reading preferences.
Social climate of school

In the theoretic part, the dissertation is dealing with description and definition of main terms connected with climate of school and climate of class, with climate agents and their social relationships, with determinants of climate of school and with methods of climate measurement. The aim of the practical part of research is to map the climate of chosen school, to map the climate of individual classes and of the school staff and to map parent's opinions by quantitative methods (by questionnaire).
