Assessment in the after-school club

(in English): The assessment is an important part of the educational process. When assessing pupils, it is essential that the teacher uses correct and appropriate methods to develop the individuality of the pupil. Self-assessment should not be forgotten as it helps to the pupil to develop a healthy self-esteem and a healthy perception of himself/herself. In a after-school club, where the groups of children are diverse in terms of age and gender, assessment are used differently. The educator, like the teacher, is a role model for a the pupil regard to assessment. The educator's assessment is equally important as assessment of a teacher. This thesis focuses on the types, methods, and forms of assessment within after-school club. It is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part first of all describes after-school club as an school facility, The functions and activities of after-school club are mentioned there. Alternative Approaches to Education at Selected High Schools

The thesis deals with alternative approaches to education at high schools in the Czech Republic. The starting points of the thesis are mainly the historical context of alternative education and the characteristics of the Czech high schools and their students with a focus on private schools. The main areas of interest are some didactic principles, selected forms and methods of teaching, formative assessment and specific position of a teacher, which are stated as crucial, based on the research findings. The thesis also provides a brief overview of high schools in Prague which are considered innovative. Two such high schools are examined in detail in the empirical survey. Their stories are comprehensively processed using the multiple case study method. Partnership approach in the Scout method of raising children as an inspiration for primary school teachers

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out whether primary school teachers use the partnership approach in their lessons and what is their opinion about it based on their participation in the SI Třída project of the Scout Institute in Prague. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to defining the terms, defining the partnership approach itself and describing its principles and strategies. Furthermore, the bachelor thesis deals with the Scout educational method and the description of the SI Třída project. In the empirical part, the opinions of teachers who participated in this project with their class last year will be evaluated. Education of children with mild intellectual disability in ordinary elementary schools in Prague

The bachelor's thesis deals with education of children with mild intellectual disability in ordinary elementary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the issue of this disability, options of education for the pupils and presents support measures which are provided during lessons in ordinary classrooms. The practical part is dedicated to quantitative research done by survey which was filled by elementary school teachers in Prague. The opinions and perspectives of teachers are the outcome of the survey, as the teachers have personal experience with educating pupils with mild intellectual disability through the general education system.
Possibilities and limits of using ICT technologies in education

The bachelor thesis focuses on the possibilities and limits of the use of ICT technologies in education in relation to the access and use of digital technologies by teachers and their use in certain areas of education. It includes basic theoretical knowledge of technology in the educational process and its transformations to the present time. It also focuses on digital forms of teaching, teacher's competences, or selected areas of education within communication, gamification, assessment and feedback using digital technologies. The research section presents the results of the data collected from teachers and concretises the use of modern technologies in teaching and to prepare for lessons or also explores the extent of teacher's digital competences. The written work presents a picture from a particular point of view towards digital technologies in education with a focus on the teacher and their essential role in the educational process. Development of a system for preparing young adults growing up in institutional care for independent living

In its theoretical part, the diploma thesis deals with the issue of teenage children who growing up in institutional care, and their readiness for an independent life. It discusses difficulties, with which a young person who grew up outside the family environment has to face. It focuses on the concept of supporting and preparing adolescents in institutional care to enter independent life. Based of theoretical and practical knowledge of the author of the work, the diploma thesis describes the development of the assistance system and of support to these young people from the nineties of the 20th century until now and suggests further direction of help system. The empirical part presents the results of the research that is carried out by the method of content analysis of professional texts related to the defined issue. The research is focused on finding out whether and in what directions the development of youth training has moved adults for independent living over the past 25 years and how the current concept of preparations helps young people to acquire the competences needed for an independent life. The dilemmas of social workers in a selected low-threshold facility for children and youth

The aim of the thesis is to examine the dilemmas faced by social workers when providing services in a selected low-threshold facility for children and youth. The thesis contains two main parts, the first introduces the reader to the theoretical, professionally supported basis. It is dedicated to the definition of low-threshold facilities for children and youth, the services provided, the work goals, the principles on which these devices are based. The theoretical part also describes the target group of the service, explains the role of the social worker and the specificity of his relationship with the client. Last but not least, the thesis deals with ethics and dilemmas in social work in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The second part is based on qualitative research conducted using the method of semi-structured interviews. These were conducted with social workers in a selected low-threshold facility for children and youth. The aim of the research was to find out what dilemmas appear within the given service, how the workers try to prevent the dilemmas and what helps workers in solving them. A beginning teacher at lower-secondary school and his or her adaptation to the school environment

The diploma thesis is devoted to the adaptation of beginning teachers at lower-secondary schools to their school environment. The theoretical part defines concepts related to the person of a beginning teacher, his preparation for the teaching profession and subsequent support after entering the profession. Qualitative research is used in the empirical part of the work and is based on the analysis of ten semi-structured interviews with beginning teachers, who were asked questions in order to find out if and possibly how they managed to adapt to their school environment, and what factors helped them to do so. This part of the work attempts to answer the main research question, which is: What support does the environment provide to beginning teachers during their adaptation phase to the school environment and what factors influence this support?

Adaptation of a beginning teacher for work with gifted pupils at first level of primary school

The MSc. thesis focuses on the conditions for beginning teachers and their adaptation on start of their carreer at the first level of primary schools in the Czech Republic, and further ontheir success or problems in working with gifted pupils. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts (the latter consisting of primary and secondary research). The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes some of the specifics of the teaching profession and the situation of new teachers shortly after taking up the job. The second chapter is devoted to the adaptation process, gives an overview of the conditions for new teachers and programmes to support them in the current Czech education system, the legislation in this area, and a brief comparison with the situation abroad. This is followed by a chapter devoted to a theoretical introduction to the issue of exceptionally gifted pupils, their identification and work with them. The primary research (questionnaire survey) seeks to identify attitudes to the issues directly from novice teachers (up to two or five years of experience) and their more experienced colleagues.
