The impact of specific food types and physical activity on breast cancer incidence and development in women
Dvořáková, Tereza ; Matoulek, Martin (advisor) ; Šuta Kimle, Katarína (referee)
Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers among women globally. Modifiable risk factors such as diet and physical activity play a significant role in developing prevention strategies and interventions. The influence of diet and physical activity on the incidence and development of breast cancer is a subject of ongoing research. Healthy lifestyle patterns, characterized by balanced nutrition and regular physical activity, have shown positive implications in preventing the onset of breast cancer. The practical part of this paper uses data from 15 patients who participated in and completed the three-month ONKO-FIT intervention programme. The program aimed to evaluate the effects of targeted nutritional and exercise therapy on the physical condition of breast cancer patients. While the results did not show a statistically significant improvement due to the relatively small sample size, there was a non-zero positive effect, suggesting a possible influence of the therapy on the patients' physical condition. These initial findings underline the potential benefits of such lifestyle interventions, which could significantly impact the treatment and recovery process for breast cancer patients. However, these results also highlight the need for further studies with larger sample sizes to confirm the...
Legal Aspects of the changes in theater industry in Czechoslovakia After World War II
Šustová, Kateřina ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Blažková, Tereza (referee)
Legal Aspects of the changes in theater industry in Czechoslovakia After World War II After World War II (in May 1945), Czechoslovakian theaters were reopened. The so-called theater revolution began, during which the theater industry in Czechoslovakia experienced fundamental changes in organizational structure. Despite the efforts of Austria-Hungary and the First Czechoslovak Republic, this space was still regulated by the Theater Act of November 25, 1850 (Ministry of the Interior law No. 454/1850). There were also plans to consolidate the regulation of the theater industry in Czechoslovakia, as Hungarian legal article XXXI had been in effect since 1848 in Slovakia. This was a different (and even older) legal regulation than the one in Bohemia. This work explores the legal considerations of the aforementioned reorganization of theaters. The main goal of the research is to describe how the pre-World War II regulatory environment affected the evolution of theater industry regulation thereafter, including mapping out any significant path dependencies. A comparative analysis of individual provisions was used to address the research question of how the Theater Act of 1948 differed from previous legislation and historical drafts of theater regulations. This work subsequently addresses the regulatory...
Water element in an illustrated story for preschool children.
CILOVÁ, Tereza
The bachelor thesis focuses on exploring the significance of water in early child-hood education and its potential for developing children's perception and un-derstanding. The aim is to introduce children to the importance of water and its role in our lives through an original storybook about a water droplet and to veri-fy this book in practice. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on the importance of water from an ecological perspective, its connection to cultures and art, and the incorporation of the water theme into the Frame-work Educational Program for Preschool Age. Furthermore, the thesis examines selected literary works for children that address the theme of water. The practical part of the thesis includes a description of the author's book and proposed edu-cational activities associated with it, aimed at expanding children's knowledge about water and developing their aesthetic perception of this elemental compo-nent. The thesis is focused on linking theory with practical outputs and explores the effectiveness of educational methods in the area of perceiving and un-derstanding water in the educational process of preschool children.
My diploma thesis is concerned with the possible effects of linguistic transfer between a Czech grammar school students' acquired languages, namely English and French or German, on their performance in these languages. The thesis is written on the backdrop of the Czech Education System. The System of Curricular Documents and the related documents which predetermine the students' language development are introduced, and their most important implications for the development of the students' L2 and L3 are listed out. The foreign languages which this thesis is predominantly focused on, namely English, French and German, are analysed diachronically, synchronically and typologically to establish their main principles, their similarities, and differences, which may serve as the possible sources of linguistic transfer. Cognitive processes underlying the development of L2 and L3 systems in the context of the Czech Education System and relevant theories are introduced, including the variables which determine to a significant degree the development of these languages and may have implications for the possible instances of linguistic transfer. Hypotheses and research questions which arise from the theoretical research are then proposed, the answers to which I intend to provide by means of a...

Pechová, Tereza ; Svobodová, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Exner, Jan (referee)
Cross-border data flows from the EU: Data protection and the right to privacy Abstract This thesis discusses the legal concepts of privacy and personal data protection, the EU legal framework, specifically the relevant primary law and secondary EU law such as the Data Protection Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation. The thesis further examines the concept of international transfers of personal data outside the European Union and the legal basis for such transfers, as regulated by the GDPR, its different methods and their comparison in relation to their scope and specific use. The author considered the definition of the adequacy decision, the process of granting such a decision and its criteria to be essential. Subsequently, the thesis dealt with the presentation of appropriate safeguards as alternative methods of international transfers of personal data under EU law. The focus of the thesis is to introduce the third country regime using the example of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as a former EU Member State. In this respect, the thesis examines the development of UK data protection law in terms of international data transfers after Brexit. The thesis has looked into the negotiations between the UK and the EU on their trade and cooperation agreement. Particular...
Effect of darunavir and atazanavir on ABCB1 and CYP3A4 expression in human precision-cut intestinal slices
Hradecká, Tereza ; Vokřál, Ivan (advisor) ; Červený, Lukáš (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Student: Tereza Hradecká Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Supervisor: PharmDr. Vokřál Ivan, Ph.D. Oral administration of drugs is currently the most common and most convenient method of drug administration. Most drugs administered in this way are subsequently absorbed in the intestine and enter the systemic circulation. The absorption of drugs in the intestine can be influenced by a number of factors. Factors influencing drug absorption include, for example, efflux transporters or biotransformation enzymes. Currently, the most studied intestinal transporter is P-glycoprotein (P-gg), which is able to transport various substances back into the lumen of the intestine. Another factor affecting the absorption of drugs is intestinal metabolism, which in the first phase often takes place through enzymes from the cytochrome P450 family, while most drugs are metabolized through CYP3A4, which is also widely represented in the intestine. The activity of efflux transporters and biotransformation enzymes can be reduced (inhibition) or, conversely, increased (induction) by some drugs. This can subsequently lead to a whole range of drug interactions. The possible pharmacokinetic consequences of enzyme or transporter induction depend on the specific...
School textbooks and their use in practice: the role of students in the evaluation of textbooks and geographical content
Kulma, Natanael ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Cimová, Tereza (referee)
The present bachelor thesis deals with the issue of school textbooks. In the theoretical part, the textbook is clearly defined in terms of its privileged position among educational resources, its internal structure and the functions to which it is adapted. Furthermore, the extent to which it is used, and the way in which it is used in practice by teachers and pupils, is mapped out. Finally, the role of the learner as the evaluative subject of textbooks is presented, and specific recommendations for research and design of textbooks with the aim of increasing their use by learners are outlined. The practical part presents insights into the background of primary school pupils in order to test the theoretical assumptions regarding pupils' experiences of textbook use, their evaluation of the textbook and their preferred geographical themes in the content of the geography textbooks.

The bachelor thesis deals with design of an industrial building – production of branded clothing in Brno. Production of branded clothing is focused on the production of branded women's clothing. The area is located in Brno-Bohunice at Vinohrady Street. The work follows the architectural study AG034. The land is sloping, rising to the northeast. The slope is used for an auxiliary building, there is also a parking lot. The land is bordered on two sides by roads. In the northern part it is the existing road, in the southern part the road is designed according to the zoning plan. The main entrance for employees is located in the northeastern part. Arrival for supply is solved by a new road within the solved plot. It is a newly built 4-storey production hall and two auxiliary buildings with flat roofs. The operation will be technologically and organizationally connected to the parent plant abroad. The building will have warehouses for finished products, blanks, materials and plant management. Catering will be solved in the form of import and heating of food. The concept of the whole building is based on the shape of the land, the shape of the main building is based on simple geometry. The main building consists of four blocks, which form the production, a separate administrative part and a part intended for warehouses. The building has four floors. The building near the road is designed with a green roof, as well as a building for auxiliary operation next to the parking lot. The green roof will look natural and connect the proposed building with the character of the site. The production hall is mostly glazed, which allows for all-day natural lighting. The entrance part of the building is also glazed, the structure is visible and gives the building the expression of an industrial building. The sanitary facilities are glazed with sash windows, which provide natural lighting and also ventilation necessary in case of technical problems with recuperation.
