The dissertation conducts a survey of the different school and family approaches and their mutual cooperation. The theoretical part deals with defining the concept of partnership and client approach of different schools and families. It describes the different types of cooperation between families, schools and the public. One chapter is focused on specific cooperation - tutorial system. The second part is devoted to the practical research. The research is focused on specific cooperation between schools and families in the first grade of primary school, the tutorial system. Differentiation and individualization of teaching at lower primary school

The thesis reacts on the contemporary schooling when there is the need of differentiation and individualisation of teaching in heterogeneous classrooms. However, the teachers are not prepared enough to differentiate and there is only a minimum of relevant literature and methodological support. The main aim of the thesis is to summarise the latest findings in this field, to detect possible strategies of differentiation and individualisation at the lower primary school and to design feasible steps for the teachers to follow. In the theoretical part there are summarised already familiar findings from the external literature. In the empirical part I am focusing on the differentiation methods of two sample teachers, who are important models for the students - future teachers. The methods used predominantly in the research are the in-depth interviews with the teachers and an analysis of a recording of observed lessons.

Within the first part thesis is focused on methods of out of school tutoring in Czech Republic. Inquiry based education at primary school. Qualitative research

This master thesis deals with the issue of inquiry based learning in sciences at primary school level. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the development, realization and pros and cons of inquiry based learning. Additionally there is an overview of inquiry based activities in the commonly used textbooks for first level of primary schools and the list of extended literature intended to inspire the teachers to practise inquiry based learning. The practical part of the thesis is based on information gained from interviews with primary school teachers. The aim was to find out how inquiry based learning is perceived by teachers. Their opinions, advanatages and disadvantages of inquiry based learning and its practical use in education is discussed. Consequently, overlaps and influence of such education methods on the integration of pupils to a society is presented here. The thesis provides a complete overview on the issue of application of inquiry based learning to traditional education methods. This research informs readers about possible problems related to the implementation of inquiry based learning to practice. The research of primary school teachers

The aim of my work is to indicate some of the theoretical possibilities that have connections with values and value orientation and also my personal research of the specific group. The study sample is the group of primary teachers and also the students of pedagogical faculty of West Bohemia University in Pilsen, branch of study - primary teachers. The research was given in one year when only women were tested. The whole study sample has been compared with the population of women, with the students of pedagogical faculty and finally the teachers were compared among themselves. The questionnaire was used during the research. The respondents were asked to answer unitary and standard test for current czech population. The result of the research is description of the value structure and value preferences that were explored within the group. The results have showed the differences in value orientation among primary teachers and the group of current population of students of pedagogical faculty. The work does not put emphasis to give the coherent point of view on the theoretical knowledge of values. Despite the fact, the work can demonstrate the specific group of teachers, how do they differ from the current population and if their value orientation can influence their choice of teacher job. Application of the Innovative Teaching Methods in Education at Primary School

My master's thesis with a title Possible Applications of Innovative Methods for Reading Literacy Development in Elementary School is aimed at the critical thinking methods. These methods lead pupils in elementary school to a development of reading literacy. The theoretical part of my work provides an overview of the curriculum reform and the following changes in learning. The terms teacher, innovation, pedagogical constructivism and reading literacy are explained. The key competences of primary education are described, because their development and fulfilment are important goals of education. Furthermore, the educational programme Reading & Writing for Critical Thinking and the three-phase model of learning with its phases learning, awareness and evocation with emphasis on methods supporting a reading literacy of pupils are narrated. The methods of critical thinking supporting reading literacy of pupils are examined in the practical part of my work. The action research with help of an observation method is used in order to evaluate the impact of the critical thinking methods on the development of key competences and level of reading literacy of pupils. The aim of the thesis named "Partnership and cooperation between a family and a school in private education" is to focus on means and quality of individual aspects of cooperation between a family and a school which participate on the most complexed development of a child. Particular attention will be paid to searching for answers on if, how far and by which means do parents cooperate in the field of private education. How does school actively engage parents into communication and which variants of cooperation are the most appropriate or the most accessible for a school and parents in order to enable reciprocal and appropriate communication and cooperation between these parties. Individual aspects of the current cooperation will be analysed and subsequently evaluated with respect to effectiveness of applied approaches. Simultaneously, it will be indicated what might potential solutions be which could possibly balance interests of a school, a family and a child in current practice of primary school. Formative Assessment in Primary School Education

This diploma thesis Formative Assessment in Primary School Education deals mainly with the classroom assessment, which provides the pupils with purposeful feedback on their learning at the time when their performance can still be improved. It is a very frequent assessment of pupil's progress. The first part of this diploma thesis deals with classroom assessment and describes the different types of assessment, its forms and tools. After embedding formative assessment to the context of classroom assessment, the thesis deals with the definition of this term and it closely clarifies its history, different approaches, and it especially specifies the use of formative assessment in practice. Part of the text, which is concerned with formative assessment strategies, closely explains concepts such as feedback, dealing with mistakes, questioning or peer-feedback. Teachers' Perceptions in Education Provision for Deaf Students in the Czech Republic

This study examines education provision of deaf students in the Czech Republic. Since inclusion has captured the educational space in most countries, it was imperative to point out opportunities and challenges regarding international trends currently advocated these days. The study uses case study qualitative approach for data generation interests. Due to the nature of this approach, purposive sampling was used to generate data from mainstream and specialist teachers in selected schools. Literature reviewed in this study gives a blend of knowledge and arguments regarding education provision for deaf students. It helps to add existing knowledge that will shape thinking of parents, teachers, students, governments and Organizations. Through systematic analysis, nine themes have emerged as findings. These themes are staffing and level of participation, deaf identity, policy and practice, dependency on special schools, little contact between special and mainstream schools, sign language, bilingual versus oral approach, lack of consistency, teachers' resourcefulness and contradicting misconceptions.
