Substitute Family Care from the Perspective of Homosexual Men
VODRÁŽKOVÁ, Pavlína
The bachelor thesis covers the topic of homosexual's views on Surrogate family care, not only from the viewpoint of the sexual orientation. The theoretical part of the thesis covers the topics of various aspects of homosexuality, Surrogate family care and the raising of children by homosexuals. The qualitative research method, specifically phenomenological examination, has been selected for the research part of the thesis. Data collection has been realised using semi-structured interviews. The research sample has consisted of eight communication partners. These communication partners were childless homosexual males, aged 20 35 years old. They were selected using the Snowball sampling technique. The aim of the thesis is to discover what are homosexual male's stances towards Surrogate family care in context with their sexual orientation and subsequently how do they perceive the Czech system of Surrogate family care. To achieve these goals two research questions were crated. The first research question asks whether homosexual males consider the Czech Surrogate family care system negative in any way. The second research question then seeks the answer to the question whether homosexual men desire to be parents. The results of the research show that the opinions of male homosexuals towards raising children are very diverse. Most of the communication partners are more inclined to become parents. Some however don't know whether they would like to raise a child or not. The most frequently mentioned obstacles which prevent the communication partners to raise children include the lack of time, the lack of money, the fact that they don't have a partner, age and a lot of other factors. In regards to the Czech Surrogate family care system, the communication partners consider its greatest shortage the fact that homosexuals cannot adopt a child. They also see problems in the heterosexual adoptive parents selection process, in the way how the true interests of biological parents are defined and in the possibility of taking children from foster care.

Language and individuality. Some remarks on comparing Wittgenstein with Husserl and Heidegger
Beran, Ondřej ; Peregrin, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kouba, Pavel (referee) ; Glombíček, Petr (referee)
The work compares Wittgenstein with Husserl and Heidegger (or more generally: analytical and continental philosophy), but its character is rather systematic, as it treats the question of the relation among language, intersubjectivity and individuality. Husserl and Wittgensten show that our experience of the world (world as we know it) is always our experience of the world ("the world as it is for us"), that this experience is essentially intersubjective, and that intersubjectivity is essentially linguistic. The shape of the experience of the world is not arbitrary, but it cannot be based "realistically" on the "objective" world, at most it can be founded "from inside", pragmatically. The primarily pragmatic nature of our experience allows its variation (a plausible form of relativism), and on the other hand it makes it problematic to try to set the purpose of the experience beyond its limits (an absolute teleology of history). It is also shown that Husserl's conception, setting the non-linguistic life of the consciousness "before" language and individual subjectivity "before" intersubjectivity, faces certain problems, or that we cannot conceive phenomena of thought (psychic life) and individuality, as we usually understand them, this way. Heidegger agrees with Wittgenstein in the point that language is...

The fairy tales from the prison
Tučková, Anna ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Janáček, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis Pohádky z vězení (The Fairy Tales From The Prison) is about the texts sent from prison by Jiří Stránský and Ivan Martin Jirous to their children, and which are now being published as children's literature. The focus of this work is the analysis of these texts from the perspective of the theory of reception. The analysis builds upon the phenomenological approach to literature and especially Wolfgang Iser's and Umberto Eco's theories. The thesis clarifies the complex matter of chidren's literature, which is rather specific in comparison to these theories. The analysis attempts to provide an answer to the following questions: How does the reader evolve and change? What happens with the original addressees of letters? What role is played by the knowledge of the historical context of the writing of a text?

An Analysis of the Experience of Students with a Long-Term Participation in the Peer Programme
DAVÍDEK, Petr
The aim of this thesis is to map how students assess their long-term participation in the Peer programme at the Gymnasium, Elgartova 3, Brno. The emphasis is laid on the motivation of the respondents for joining the programme, on the programme objectives and on the way the respondents were influenced by their four-year participation in the Peer programme. The study is based on the methods of qualitative approaches, particularly on the interpretative phenomenological analysis. Four senior "Peers" (three girls and one boy) constitute the research sample, they are student volunteers who prepare and organize numerous events at the Gymnasium Elgartova. The thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides a description of the key topics associated with the thesis, such as risk behaviour, adolescence, prevention of the risk behaviour, general concept of the Peer programme and its modification at the Gymnasium Elgartova. The practical part focuses on a detailed description of the questions, objectives and methods of the research. Moreover, the author also provides the self-reflection of his own experience with the programme. The thesis is concluded with a final report which comprises of the research results and accounts for the research questions.

To the ideal-realism of the reason in the Phenomenology about the spirit: a reading about the dialectic of the Consciousness-Consciousness of self reason
Oh, Ji-Ho ; Monseu, Nicolas (advisor) ; Goddard, Jean-Christophe (referee)
This paper aims to comprehend the Hegelian conception of truth as presented in the first three parts of the Phenomenology of Spirit, respectively on Consciousness, Self-Consciousness, and Reason. In doing so, we presuppose that it is the question of the truth which forms the major issue of the Phenomenology, and that Hegel answers this question with his idealism which is suggested in the third part on Reason. So this paper intends to consider these three chapters as a whole around the question on the truth and to reconstruct the process of establishing the idealism of reason, which forms continuity between these parts.

Selected aspects of gambling
NOVOTNÁ, Petra
Selected aspects of gambling The topic of this Bachelor Thesis consists in family and social aspects of pathological gambling. The author deals particularly with the actual pathological gambling, its origination systems and its development stages in the practical part. Further she deals with the gamblers, stating exactly the risk groups of population that are endangered the most. The impact of pathological gambling on health, family and children of the pathological gambler constitutes very essential part of that chapter. The main goal of the Bachelor Thesis consisted in ascertaining the impacts of pathological gambling on the individual, the family and the family system. Partial goals consisted in ascertaining whether pathological gambling has endangered the gambler{\crq}s job, which the social impacts have been, and further in mapping of the influence of pathological gambling on marital or partner life. Ten persons playing slot machines or terminals, living in the towns of České Budějovice and Volary and aged over 18 years were selected for the research by quota selection. The practical part used the method of qualitative research, executed in form of semi-structured phenomenological interview based on pre-prepared set of questions. The answers of the respondents show that gambling makes most of them suffer from depressions and nervousness, which leads to the conclusion that pathological gambling upsets the psychical condition of persons suffering from this addictive disease. The research further shows that pathological gambling has unambiguously negative impact on marriage and subsequently also on children in the relevant family. The practical part includes also discussion with authors from whom the theoretical part drew information. The conclusions from the research correspond to expert literature almost in all aspects. The author believes that in order to restrict the incidence of pathological gambling in the Czech Republic, change of legislation is particularly needed, as well as extension of primarily preventive programs within this issue. This Thesis can be used for example by institutions dealing with this issue, as well as within primarily preventive actions or for the purpose of further studies and researches. It can also serve for teaching and it can find application within local administration and self-administration.

A phenomenological view of colour
Zhu, Pingbo ; Sepp, Hans Rainer (advisor) ; Novotný, Karel (referee)
Masterthesis Eine phänomenologische Betrachtung der Farbe A phenomenological view of colour Pingbo Zhu Every colour theory begs a space theory. A main aim of the space theory is to catch the core of knowledge: through knowing something we can know the world outside of us. This thesis is to illustrate a different way of defining colour by introducing a phenomenological way of talking about space. This question will thus be answered: why is colour a quality of an object and at the same time a content of sensation of subject? Thus a solution probably is that colour is a phenomenological bridge of objects and subjects. Some philosophers, who hold a standpoint of physicalism may argue that all mental states and activities can be reduced thoroughly to physical states and activities. Another claim would be that all sensations are the results of the activities of brain nerves. But in the following paragraphs I will analyse why a colour theory with the standpoint of physicalism cannot explain away colour. A phenomenological view of colour will therefore emphasize the necessity of the independence of mental activities, in other words, sensations and perceptions, which give rise to a better explanation of colour.

Domination of ethnic identity in post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina
Aćimovac, Milena ; Šístek, František (advisor) ; Riegl, Martin (referee)
The given thesis examines the question of identity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The country devastated by the war from the beginning of 90s, went through major social changes, which deeply affected contemporary situation in the country. Although, BiH has long history of being quite specific in its characteristics, contemporary state is more complicated than it was imagined by peace creators, volunteers and scholars of international community. Identity within the country is defined by the entity. Every out of three peoples, almost two decades from the war, strongly holds on their ethnic appurtenance. The thesis portrays pre-war cohabitation of three ethnic groups by so called "neighborhood phenomenology" , and by providing certain theoretical insight attempts to depict joined similarities and differences in one society. Public, namely media discourse is highly affected with hatred and discrimination among ethnic groups. Aiming to prove that, at least present it, the author used media discourse analysis of the central news programs of two public broadcasters. Results not only demonstrated discrimination, but provided closer insight in professionalism, or lack of it, and clearly portrayed politically infected program. Media create and shape public opinions and attitudes, in case of BiH, it is marked by...

Internet Lifestyle. What Has Internet Given to Us and What Has Internet Taken from Us?
LIŠKOVÁ, Radka
The thesis deals with the phenomenon of the internet lifestyle. Theoretical volume of the work describes the lifestyle, all the psychological aspects of usage of the Internet. The advantages and disadvantages involved in using the Internet and statistical data regarding the usage of the Internet. The main aim of the thesis is to try to recognize inner experiences of the internet users and to understand this specific inner world. The questionnaire was done to map favourite activities used on the Internet. What motivates the Internet users and all the experiences connected with the Internet. How much are the users aware of the risks inflicted by the Internet. How it can influence the life and the relationship of respondents and the impact on their life throughout their life. To gather the data, for this survey, was applied the qualitative research method and the phenomenological access. The methodology triangulation techniques were emphasised. Among the respondents who were asked, were students of the South Bohemian University in České Budějovice. Two techniques were chosen which one of them was structured interview with open questions (2 interviews performed on 10 respondents) and a questionnaire with open questions (20 anonymous questionnaires). This was applied on chat servers. The result for this research shows that using the Internet is mainly the need to communicate and to gain information. Among the respondents? favourite activities were for example watching sitcoms or searching information. The emotions which users feel depend on the activity which they do. The positive ones are dominate to negative ones, but the frequency contradicts with the living emotions. The biggest influence of the Internet on respondents? life is to get information easily, simplified communication and the possibility to meet new people. The relationship which the respondents have towards the Internet is mostly stable. The biggest risk the respondents consider is using the Internet by small children, sharing which result in misuse of data, arranging meeting with strangers, above all on the ground of numerous occurrences of sexual aggressors etc. The cultural activities and prevention of the usage and all risks concerning the Internet should be more pursued in the future. In the short conclusion of the philosophical survey the question:"What we gain and lose because of the Internet?" The Internet provided us with the easy access to information, new ways how to meet other people, the knowledge, entertainment, etc. On the other hand it deprives us from spending free time, personal get - togetherness, motivation and loosing the childhood.
