Recommendations for formats of 3D objects and corresponding metadata for the purpose of their sharing, presentation and preservation
Získal, Bohuš ; Berka, Roman ; Frank, Jiří
The methodology presents recommendations for processing, management, sharing and export of 3D digital objects together with corresponding metadata structures suited for presentation and presentation of information objects resulting from digitization processes. These recommendations reflect needs of memory institutions and aggregated databases of cultural content and take into account the relevant legislation. The suitability of existing data formats of 3D models and related metadata is discussed especially from the perspective of their sustainability. The need for development of a suitable strategy of care for digital cultural heritage is discussed together with potential impacts of corresponding decisions and compromises taken. An attention is paid also to conditions for long term preservation of cultural artifacts in digital form.

Usability Improvement of Geovisto Library
Koscielniak, Tomáš ; Rusňák, Vít (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis aims to improve the user interface of Geovisto library, used for geospatial visualization. This is achieved by identifying issues using user testing and designing a solution for them. These solutions were implemented, and the second user testing tested their benefit. The result of the thesis is expanding the library with legends, units for numerical values, and tools for visualization of metadata, which all improve the user experience when using the library. Another result is a standalone web presentation of the library, its tools, and data miner.
Services over digital archives in science and research
Lochman, Martin ; Bratková, Eva (advisor) ; Papík, Richard (referee)
The thesis focuses on various information services over digital archives and institutional repositories in the area of science and research. It aims to ascertain these online services and introduce, analyse and assess selected examples in detail. Their quantitative as well as qualitative features are emphasized - The work is logically divided into four chapters. The first one defines the basic terminology and outlines the contemporary status of scholarly communication on the Internet. The second chapter introduces a comprehensive list of services as well as their suggested typology. The third chapter constitutes the core of the thesis and presents the descriptions and analysys of the selected services. The fourth final part includes the comparison of their relevant parameters, final assessment and the perspectives of their future development. Keywords digital archive, institutional repository, scholarly communication, information services, OAI- PMH, metadata harvesting, open access
Long-term Preservation of Web Content
Kvasnica, Jaroslav ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor) ; Souček, Martin (referee)
This work describes the long term preservation of digital documents, particularly websites. The aim of this work is to give an explanation of the long term preservation, to define the differences between various approaches and to describe long term preservation of web content possibilities such as migration or emulation. It also explains risks and challenges of these strategies. It discusses new problems which the long term preservation aim leads to. It also describes possible solutions as well as it describes the situation in selected significant foreign institutions. The main aim of this work is detailed analysis of long term preservation strategy in theNational Library of the Czech Republic, which is the only institution engaged in the preservation of Czech web. The process of data preparation, metadata creation and data storing in the long term repository of the Czech National Library is thoroughly described, including examples and their explanation. Future actions of long term preservation in the Czech Web Archive are articulated in the conclusion. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Privacy-Preserving Instant Messaging Application
Krajanec, Štefan
Instant messaging applications noted significant grow especially in the last decade. In fact, the Internet communication is cheap and convenient way how to communicate with distant people. However, this grow of user communication and data exchange through the online world impactsuser security and privacy, as it was also shown recently by WhatsApp privacy issues. Firstly thisarticle evaluates security and privacy issues of current mobile messaging applications. Secondly, wedesign our basic open source solution with the focus on security, privacy, and user centric features.Furthermore, we provide proof-of-concept implementation of our system.
Additional Metadata Management for Music Files: Finding Original Vinyl Records Metadata
Svěrák, Tomáš ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to design and create an application that searches online music databases for information about the original vinyl records. It is a cross-platform desktop application that searches for data in Discogs, MusicBrainz, 45cat and 45worlds databases and stores them in a local database. It then allows the user to manage the retrieved information in a user-friendly interface and on their basis to decide on originality of the found recordings.
Design of a System Solution for Exchanging Documentation with External Partners
Trnka, Štěpán ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design of a new solution for the exchange of documentation between the energy distribution company XYZ and its external partners. Based on the analysis of the current documentation exchange process and the requirements of the stakeholders are proposed appropriate system solutions with the necessary functionalities and procedural steps of the exchange.
System for a Room Acoustics Measurement
Stojan, Martin ; Mošner, Ladislav (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This work follows up on Marin Lach's thesis. It deals with Audified Audio Processing System. The work is about making control of the system more pleasant, testing the functionality of the system with eventual modifications, extending the current functionality and creating a web application to ease the collecting of metadata about the recording. It also contains manuals for dealing with the system and using the mentioned applications.

Machine learning models for quantifying phenotypic signatures of cancer cells based on transcriptomic and epigenomic data
Koban, Martin ; PhD, Florian Halbritter, (referee) ; Mehnen, Lars (advisor)
