Title: A comparison of dynamic abilities in nordic ski disciplines Aim: This dissertation aims to compare the dynamic abilities of cross country skiers and ski jumper in age between 12 to 15. Clarification of whether or not a training process of those two athlete groups has a crucial impact on the development of mentioned abilities compared to the other hobby sports group (target group). Methodology: This dissertation is conceived as empiric-theoretical. It analyses the results of samples to verify the hypothesis. There were three groups consisting of 10 samples (athletes) in total. The samples were tested in horizontal jumps (long jump, triple jump, multiple jumps) and vertical jumps (squat jump, counter movement jump). In all tests, it was decided to use only the best of all three attempts for the results. Findings: Development of dynamic abilities during the training process has a positive impact on their development in general. Both cross country skiers and ski jumpers achieved better results than the target group. Furthermore, ski jumpers performed better than cross country skiers. Keywords: physical health, sport performance, cross country skiing, ski jumping, squat jump (SJ), countermovement jump (CMJ), long jump, triple jump, multiple jumps
Coordination abilities of children in sports games
Nováková, Monika ; Hájková, Jana (advisor) ; Přibyl, Ivan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with motoric abilities especially abilities of coordination. The theoretical part is mainly focused on characteristic of motoric abilities and their importance in human life. Another topic of interest is characteristics of sport performance and sports games. The aim of the practical part is to determine the level of coordination abilities of children aged between 11 and 12 in sports games, specifially in football, ice hockey and floorball. The testing was done in teams: FK Čáslav, HC Čáslav and ACEMA Sparta Praha. A test battery of five motoric tests created by Kohoutek was used for the experimental measurements. The results were next compared with the standart for boys aged between 11 and 12 which was created by Kohoutek in his research in 2003. Measured results of coordination abilities of players of sports games are below average in comparison to population average.

Urbanec, Matyáš ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title: The level of speed and agility in elite football players (15-17 years). Aim: The main aim of this thesis is to find out the current level of performance in linear speed and agility in elite football players (15-17 years), given the age of the players. At the same time, the aim is to find out the relationship between performance in linear speed tests and agility. Methods: The main scientific method which had a theoretical-empirical character was the observing and testing method. The research team consisted of 30 players FK Motorlet Praha and 32 players Bohemians Prague 1905 categories U16 and U17. Basic descriptive statistics and correlation and regression analysis were used to evaluate the measured data. Results: Based on the test results, a match between the agility Illionois test and the linear sprinter on 10 m (r = 0,54), 20 m (r = 0,60) and 40 m (r = 0,52) was found. On the other hand, weak dependence on Illionois was proven in tests for linear sprinter measurements in 5 m (r = 0,43) and 20 m in flight when r = 0,31. When comparing the Bohemians Prague 1905 and FK Motorlet Prague for each category, the Bohemians Prague 1905 was better in the U17. In the U16 category, it was found that Motorlet Praha's players were better at agility Illionois, where the results were measured d = 0,54 and...

The effectiveness of dietary supplements for athletes
Papanikolaou, Stefan ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Novák, František (referee)
This thesis is dealing with a handful of supplements for athletes. To make the selection as useful as possible, I basically chose the supplements according to their representation in a few sport centers. On these foundations, I made the decision which supplements to research. Then I created system-reviews for each of the supplements using PubMed. The next step was to find out the real efficiency of these supplements. The aim of the conclusion was to say if each of the supplements is useful and for whom. Most of the supplements shown to be beneficial, though some of them in different ways than sometimes expected. An often issue may be that the supplements are useful only for specific use - for specific athletes, or under specific conditions. This thesis is more of a review essay, but in the end, there is a simple tutorial. keywords: active ingredients, sport, sport performance, sport supplements, supplement

Monitoring of carbohydrate income in sportsmen's diet
Pourová, Veronika ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Petráková Doležalová, Radka (referee)
The topic of my master thesis is monitoring of carbohydrate intake in sportsmen's diet. In the thesis, intake of carbohydrates as well as other macronutrients is monitored in order to evaluate, if athletes prefer other energy sources to carbohydrates and if their total energy intake is sufficient. If athletes prefer easily digestible carbohydrates or if they follow recommendation for healthy diet and increase their intake of whole foods, legumes, fruits and vegetables can be evaluated by monitoring fiber and sugar intake. All the monitored data are compared with non-athletes in order to see, in which field their diets vary. In the theoretical part, principles of sports nutrition are defined, basics of population recommendations are mentioned and methods of nutritional assessment and energy expenditure estimation are explained. In the practical part, five-day food-diaries of athletes and non-athletes are evaluated by NutriPro Expert software. Five-day physical activity diaries recorded during the same days are evaluated by using the Compendium of Physical Activities. All the studied values (energy intake, energy expenditure, carbohydrate, fat, protein, sugar, fiber and alcohol intake) were compared to recommended values for athletes and non- athletes and further compared among these two groups. Level of motor ability and skills of children of older school age during the past three decades
ŘEHÁKOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to compare sport performances of girls aged 11 to 18 years in Gymnasium Benešov during the past three decades. The objectives of the thesis were achieved based on the analysis of results in 10 athletic disciplines (50 m run, 60 m run, 100 m run, 800 m run, 1500 m run, 2660 m run, high jump, long jump, shot put and grenade throw) measured within the framework of physical education at gymnasium since 1988 to 2014. Data of 1083 students were used and the analysis of variance was performed. Based on the data evaluation it was found that the performance in runs at 60 m, 100 m, 800 m and 1500 m and long jump in older girls (16, 17 years old) were significantly reduced. The results also showed that the tendency towards reduced performance was more pronounced in long-lasting athletic disciplines and in older girls too.
