The Change

In work entitled CHANGE, I return in my memories to my home region, a town where I have lived and lived most of my life and which has been nicknamed the "Triangle of Death" for decades. This time period has had and continues to have a significant impact on my existence. In the first phase of the timeline of creating the topic of the diploma thesis, are my returns through induction and deduction. I approach my father's illness, which is not uncommon in my homeland. I connect connections leading to finding out the causes of origin and occurrence. Subsequently, I recall memories related to the stories heard from people about the factory, which was supposed to be and perhaps was the livelihood for the inhabitants of the poor eastern Slovakia, as well as the production of PCBs. I create, compile and depict images hidden in the memory of moments from my lived childhood. I depict the Chemko Strážske factory, which at that time was a kind of illusion of a happy life. I am looking for a way of acceptance and ways of reconciliation using painting techniques, through the representation of symbols and the central characters that represent it all.

The main title of the doctoral thesis - ART/CRIME - CRIME/ART - point to a general investigation of these two phenomenons. This investigation makes up the background of the main theme of the thesis, which is an actual event of the mysterious death of the painter and shepherd K.. At work I spend time with alternative investigations of this death and the goal is an attempt to reconstruct the events and effort of discovering the answers what happened that night and whether or not a killer really existed or not.

The proposal deals with the architecture archive concept on a wider social scale. The goal is to treat the information as a certain relative value, when the individual spaces are conceived with emotional surprise. There is a controlled collision between old and new approaches where attractive spaces serve purely rational mechanical systems. A person going through the archive should perceive emotional experiences and, after leaving the archive, perceive information in a more complex way.

The comparison of Czech and German family policy enabling the harmonization of work and family life

The subject of this thesis is the comparison of family policy in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany in terms of measures adjustment enabling the reconciliation of work and care about the preschool children. The issue of work-life balance is further presented in the context of traditional sociological concepts and welfare state model theories, followed by a description of trends and current order of women's employment on the labor market of both countries and accompanied by the description of demographic trends. Thesis is specifically focused on the description of the governmental family policy of both countries in the perspective of parental leave entitlement settings, facilities of children day care facilities like nursery schools and creche, and formal involvement of fathers in the childcare. The methodological part of thesis is focused on the description of the family policy measures of the respective country. Comparison of both countries in terms of enabling the reconciliation of work and childcare is made on the basis of analyse and comparison of both the secondary quantitative data and the qualitative data drawn from the discussions placed on the free available web sites. Seeking Reconciliation between Georgia and Abkhazia: The Bottom-Up Approach since 2008

The diploma thesis deals with the reconciliation process between Georgia and Abkhazia after 2008. It focuses on the bottom-up approach to reconciliation and its potential for the transformation of protracted and unresolved conflict. As bilateral negotiations at the political level between Georgia and Abkhazia have been stuck since 2006, this approach may be the only tool to disrupt the current status quo. Nevertheless, the research results show that this potential is quite limited in Georgia. The current discourse about the conflict that supports the status quo is related to ethnic identity and is also supported internationally. Middle-range leaders who are a significant part of the civil peace process between Georgia and Abkhazia have attempted to disrupt this discourse. Still, even their willingness to compromise is limited by a myth-symbol complex. Moreover, participants in peace projects are not homogeneous groups that aim to disrupt the current discourse. The research results show that reconciliation outside the state level has contributed at least to the preservation of negative peace because its participants mostly avoid stereotypes, do not feel negative emotions towards the other side, and reject violence as a tool for conflict resolution.

Communication with Children about Death after the Loss Their Close Person in the Context of Curriculum as Well as Their World

The diploma thesis deals with how to talk with children about death after the death of someone close to them, not only in the context of the curriculum, but also their world in general. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part is arranged chronologically so that the individual chapters follow each other as best as possible and then create a comprehensive picture of how to communicate appropriately with children about death. The empirical part consists of qualitative research, specifically the research method of semi-structured in-depth interviews. Reconciliation of family and work life in healthcare Abstract Reconciliation of family and work life is currently a topic of fundamental importance, not only from the perspective of the individual, but also from the perspective of society, as it relates to many issues of societal importance, such as the promotion of equality between men and women on the labour market, increasing the employment of women and motivating young couples to start families in order to increase the birth rate. Although the topic of harmonization of work and family life is currently receiving relatively high attention, and the regulations of labour law and social security law contain a wide range of instruments supporting the reconciliation of family and work life, it shall be remembered that there are professions that are more accessible than others for harmonizing work and family life (especially, for instance, "white collar" jobs, with the possibility of relatively wide flexibility). However, there are also professions in which it is very difficult to imagine an employee working from home or using, for instance, flexible working hours, as the nature of that particular profession does not allow it. Dealing with the guilt of persons serving a sentence.

The diploma thesis deals with the ethical topic of guilt and its processing in persons serving a sentence. The paper elaborates with the topic of guilt on a practical and theoretical level. The theoretical framework deals with concepts related to guilt (morality, good, evil, conscience, sin), then presents the concept of guilt and the possibilities of its processing. Based on the description of the theory, the theoretical part formulates questions, which are used in the practical part. It describes three case studies of persons serving a sentence. The research is devoted to their individual perception of guilt and subsequently to ways of coping with it. Special attention is paid to Christianity and its influence on the perception of guilt, as two persons believe in God. Research shows that guilt is a fundamental issue for people in prison, whether it is in its negative or positive manifestations. The research confirms the fundamental theoretical starting point that there is a line from the negative effect of guilt to its positive contribution. As all three convicts confirm, guilt is the path to awareness, acceptance, and finally to the correction. Youth Exchange in the process of Czech-German Reconciliation

The diploma thesis examines extracurricular youth exchanges and meetings and their role in the Czech-German reconciliation process with a time focus on the period between 1996 and 2020. The Czech-German reconciliation process was influenced by a large number of state and non-state actors, and while the role of many of them was extensively described in the literature, Czech-German youth exchanges received only marginal attention. This diploma thesis aims to describe the development and activities of the Coordination Centers of Czech- German Youth Exchanges Tandem, the Czech-German Fund for the Future and the Czech- German Youth Forum in the given period and to monitor how youth exchanges and meetings supported by these three institutions developed. The focus is mainly on their content and thematic development. Furthermore, several types of impacts and influence of youth exchanges in public space are described and placed in the context of the analytical concept of the process of reconciliation in international relations according to Lily Gardner Feldman.
