The importance of South Korean investments in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in the years 2004 - 2013 (an example of Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors)

The goal of this thesis is to map of the profit and cost of foreign direct investments (FDI) of car producers Hyundai Motor Company in the Czech Republic and KIA Motors Corporation in Slovakia in years 2004 -- 2013. The theoretical part of the work is directed to description and research of approach to foreign direct investment as a means of development, impact on home economy and possible negatives. Among the most significant positives this exercise are the know-how, increased work productivity and improvement of trade balance. Disadvantages on the contrary can be two-speed economy, crowding-out effect, inflation or unjustified state support. The work also compares European investment policy and policy of investment incentives in legislative Framework of the Czech and Slovak Republic. The last part deals with the foreign direct investment of the Hyundai Company at Nošovice and the KIA Corporation at Žilina and their effect on the national economy using statistical analysis (profit, state support, jobs created etc.).
Analysis of Competitive Situation in Education in the Automotive Industry

The aim of this thesis is to determine the best training organizations, which are providing services in education with a focus on the automotive industry method and suggest improvements of the services provided, using the selected methods. In assessing the competitive situation in the education market, the thesis deals with the evaluation of offers training and education company focusing on the needs of clients in the automotive industry and evaluating the satisfaction of the companies working in the automotive industry with offer, quality and availability of educational services. Further, the thesis deals with suggestions for possible improvements provided training services to the automotive industry.
Productivity in industry in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the productivity in the Czech manufacturing organisations. The manufacturing industry was selected based on the economic classification CZ-NACE, the emphasis is focused on the automotive industry (excluding motorbikes production). The theoretic part is focused on distinguishing terms of the productivity and its analysis. The practical part evaluates each type of productivity in the Czech Republic followed by study of productivity according to organisational size.
Valuation of the company LINAPLAST s.r.o. through different approaches for the purposes of decision-making concerning sales

The object of the thesis is to determine the market value of the firm for the purpose of the future sale. At first, the strategic analysis is performed, which assesses business and competitive environment of the company, and on which basis the future sales are estimated. The financial analysis examines financial health and stability of the company. The obtained information from both analysis are a starting point for the preparation of the financial plan. In the final part of this thesis the resulting valuation of the company is the calculated together with reasons on which the calculations are based.
Adequate information security

Abstract 1) Goal of the thesis There is an assumption that companies are nowadays spending money on IT Security not according to the importance of the information for the company. In order to prove it or not, this thesis is about to check it. In case that this is true, the aim of this thesis will be to find out the methodology that can be used to verify, whether money are spent effective and efficiently or not. 2) Aiming of the thesis From the content point of view the focus of this work is information security methodics. From the research point of view the research was conducted on medium and small organisations in automotive, mainly due to the fact that automotive industry is an important part of our national economy (approx. 8% of GDP). 3) Outcomes of the thesis From the theory point of view the definition of "adequacy" of the information security was set. Adequacy consists of two parts -- the value of information, and the importance of information. The way how to determine both value and importance was found as well. From the reality point of view there was a finding that researched organisations do not undergo any systematic approach in the information security, what can negatively impact the frequency and importance of security incidents in the organisations. One of the main results of the research is the fact that in case there is a need to make effective and efficient information security based on the support of the management of the company. Finally, the next result is creating and verification of the "Adequate information security methodology", which can be used by managers in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the sources spent on information security. There is an extension of this Methodology covering the individuality of the decision maker and circumstances that influence him.
Analysis of the Advertising Market Automotive Brands

The thesis deals with advertising expenditure major automotive brands, which are compared with their marketability. The thesis reflects the strategic marketing process and outlines the components of advertising. The aim of the work is to verify whether the investment in television advertising significantly and directly affects the marketability of vehicles, or there are some other factors.
Analysis of the economic position of Czechoslovakia in COMECON

The main objective of this work is the analysis of the long-term impact of the ČSR's membership in the Comecon (The Council for Mutual Economic Assistance) on the Czechoslovak economy. The move from a market to a planned economy created fundamental change in the structure of both trade and production. The implementation of unrealistic production plans and dictates from the Soviet Union resulted in an economic crisis and severe disorder in the social system due to the lack of and possibility of personal consumption. This paper also deals with the analysis of the situation in foreign trade, and the overall economic position of Czechoslovakia among other Soviet satellites. The author also tried to evaluate the results of the planned economy on production and also it's place internationally in the division of labor. The intention is to highlight the differences between the official plans and the real results and impact on the Czechoslovak economy. This contrast is achieved by comparing archival sources and special literature. The major space in this work is dedicated to analysis of the automotive industry, the changes and the problems of this sector in the individual decades.
Analysis of the personnel activities in the processing plant of HP-Pelzer, Ltd. in Žatec

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is an analysis of the personnel activities in the processing plant of HP-Pelzer, Ltd. in Žatec which is engaged in production of automotive components -- interior equipment. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part presents the definition of basic concepts and summarizes the essential basis of personnel work and personnel activities. The practical part analyzes the system, policies and procedures carried out by personnel activities -- staff planning, recruitment and employees' selection, adaptation of employees, performance management and evaluation of employees, rewarding and employee training -- in the company. The thesis is focused on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the implementation of personnel activities, giving examples of good practice or determining appropriate measures to improve the current situation.
The position of European brands in the automotive market in the PRC

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the present position of the European brands in the Chinese car market and outline possible future developments and opportunities for growth. The first chapter characterizes the automotive market in the EU and the PRC. The next section describes the development of trade in automotive products between the EU and the PRC. Finally, a SWOT analysis of European automakers in the Chinese market is performed.

The goal of this Masters Thesis is to analyze three selected industry sectors in the Czech Republic and in Germany. Concretely the industries in focus are engineering, motor vehicle manufacturing and finally pharmacy along with bio- and nanotechnology. Furthermore, factors limiting but also supporting the industry development are identified and described in the Thesis. In the Thesis, analytical instruments will be used, especially the SWOT analysis and benchmarking. The Thesis is mainly intended for managers, employees, consultants and all other direct or indirect interest groups of both Czech and German industry companies and their suppliers but also for potential investors who are deciding whether to enter a market in the CEE region.
