This thesis examines possibile applications of RF repeaters to improve the mobile networks signal coverage. An overview of various types of repeaters is given, while advantages and disadvantages of particular types are discussed. The questions of antenna isolation and resulting repeater gain settings are solved here as well. The thesis also considers a proposal of repeater system to improve the signal coverage in the trains of the České dráhy, a.s. company. This proposal analyses the questions of signal penetration and propagation in trains, possibilities of implementing repeaters into carriages, system diagnostics and the financial issues. The proposal is supported by the results of a trial measurement taken out in the cooperation among T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s., Vodafone Czech Republic a.s., Telefónica O2 Czech Republic a.s., České dráhy a.s. (Czech Railways Company) a ČD-Telematika a.s. on the Prague – Ostrava line.
CNV detection in the sequencing data
Pleskačová, Barbora ; Škutková, Helena (referee) ; Jugas, Robin (advisor)
Copy number variation detection in prokaryotic organisms is currently receiving more and more attention, mainly due to the association of CNV with pathogenicity and antibiotic resistance in bacteria. The algorithm designed in this thesis uses peak detection in sequencing coverage to detect CNV segments. Read coverage is commonly obtained by mapping sequencing reads of one individual to an already known reference of another individual of the same species. However, two individuals will always differ in a certain number of genes, resulting in unmapped reads that are unnecessarily discarded. Therefore, this work assumes that the biological accuracy of CNV detection can be increased by using a new reference that is created from the same set of reads as the reads mapped to this reference. Sequencing reads of Klebsiella pneumoniae individuals are used to verify this assertion.
Applications Based on Generator of Test Cases
Leonteva, Valeriia ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create an overview of the current state of tools that allow automatic generation of test cases and select one tool to show how it works and its ability to generate executable tests. The UPPAAL program was chosen for the following work. Tool allows to create a model of the selected system using timed automata, verify and simulate its operation and create a test case for the system. In the results, the tool generates a path through the system, which can be saved in the form of executable test cases in any programming language. Three different systems were chosen for testing: a light switch system implemented in Java; 2-bit multiplier, which behavior is described by Verilog language; and a simplified elevator system, which working process is introduced in C language. As a result, executable test cases were obtained for selected systems along with their features such as system coverage, number of steps to achieve goals, and quality of generated paths.
Competitive Intelligence
Pleško, Tomáš ; Sojka, Erich (referee) ; Bartes, František (advisor)
Diploma thesis “Competitive Intelligence” treats with using methods of competitive intelligence at the example of certain company. We will define basic terms and principals of competitive intelligence at the beginning, and then the thesis will contain analyses of concrete situation and procedures suggestion how to solve critical situations. For the analyses will be use information provided by company and also information from public databases. We will dedicate implantation of competitive intelligence methods to the company's decision making process with consideration future market development in this thesis. We will clarify phases which company has to make for establishing CI methods to the reader on the pages of this work. We will also devote information sources and procedure, which can be for those issues crucial.
Software for cameras configuration design of the panoramic system
Jílek, Michal ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Kříž, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with software design in C ++ language and with graphical output using OpenGL for scanning tribune lenses of cameras with different parameters so that the user lens configurations are known beforehand in order to create panoramic coverage of the stadium stadium. The principle of image capture, lens parameters, and formulas for calculating their appropriate layout on the stadium to collect a panoramic image together is discussed. These are: focal length, viewing angles, coverage calculations, image resolution. Furthermore, a draft program implementing the issue.
Anonymous Private Party Funding in Denmark: How do journalists cover this issue?
Merved, August Kaae ; Shavit, Anna (advisor) ; Turková, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis intends to examine the amount- and reasons for the news coverage related to the controversial party funding system in Denmark. This is achieved through comparisons of other political cases during the Danish 2022 and 2019 elections in a quantitative media analysis. The results are then analyzed and discussed using the data from eight interviewed Danish journalists working on some of the seven most prominent Danish media outlets. These qualitative interview data provide insights into reasons, motives, and causes for the fluctuation and difference in the coverage between the other observed and analyzed political cases in the past two elections. The findings show that the journalists deem party funding a complex and technical subject, but still, a subject deemed important to cover by journalists. However, in a fast-paced news agenda, the non-transparent party funding is covered less in comparison with news topics or cases during elections that are more emotionally charged and personalized, or topics that can provide a more direct influence on society, according to the qualitative data - as opposed to the more complex cases of political funding.
The analysis of growing of legumes in selected farm and recommendations for it´s improvement
KASÍK, Jakub
The bachelor thesis deals with the cultivation of the main clover crops in the Czech Republic, which are alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and meadow clover (Trifolium pratense L.). In the first part of the thesis, the importance, characteristics, environmental requirements, agrotechnical measures and forage quality of these clovers are presented. The advantage of alfalfa is its hardiness and drought tolerance; it is still more damaged by waterlogging than by drought. In contrast, meadow clover has lower heat requirements and is better able to tolerate temporary waterlogging than a lack of moisture. Because of its slow initial growth, clover is often established in cover crops to compensate for forage yield in the year of establishment while suppressing weeds. The most suitable cover crop appears to be pea tendrils or a mixture with other crops, but in practice cereals are most commonly used. The second part focuses on the actual monitoring and evaluation of forage stands of meadow clover and alfalfa sown within the Zemědělské družstvo Čížová farming in the South Bohemian Region (potato-growing area). The method of establishment, number of plants per 1 m2 and yield of newly established stands of meadow clover were monitored in the operational plots. Meadow clover and alfalfa stands sown in the first crop year were also evaluated. Alfalfa had the highest dry matter yield (8.8 t ha-1), while clover had a slightly lower yield (8.2 t ha-1). The cover crop accounted for 60 % of the total dry matter yield of the established clover stands. It was found that at a stand density of 170 plants for alfalfa and 160 plants for clover, there should be no weeds in the stand.
The presentation of Lathyrus pratensis L. in different types of grass stands
BÁRTA, Pavel
In the years 2007 to 2008 the occurence and domination of the meadow peavine was studied in the foothills of Sumava (Kaplice-Velký Chuchelec and Rožnov) in the elevation of 580-650 m above sea level and in the area of Českobudějovická pánev (Kozina u Závrat in the elevation of 390-510 m). The use of the meadow peavine in various types of areas and diverse methods of employment and maintenance were studied. Also performed was the analysis of environmental conditions, phytocenological analysis of grass areas and the evaluation of employment of the meadow peavine in various typologicaly different grass areas. In the locality of Velký Chuchelec there were taken pods with seeds of meadow peavine which, after proper shelling and drying, were subject to analysis of germination in containers for experiments in regards to possibilities of introducing the meadow peavine into fodder crops. In the year 2007 to 2008, in the area of Kozina u Závrat the assesment of the occurence and degree of assault of the meadow peavine with regards to the downgrade in the quality of the fodder of this species during the assault of this patogen was studied.
