Design of optical amplifier
Somora, Rastislav ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis deals with design and construction of support circuits for a modern optical amplifier the SOA. In the first chapter, optical transmitting medium with its physical properties and types of used cabels is described. The overview includes a list of optical cables, their damping properties and parasitic effects which can occur durring comunication. Next chapter is focused on the optical signal sources used in modern data networks, describes their internal structure and physical essence. Third chapter is dedicated to designing the optical amplifier with the SOA circuit. It focuses on the right choice of parts, their arrangement and layout of the design. Last chapter deals with set up, calibration and control of the optical amplifier module.
Design of semiconductor optical amplifier
Somora, Rastislav ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the construction of a moder semiconductor optical amplifier SOA. In the first chapter optical comunication and the use of optical amplifiers is described. In the next chapter some types of optical fibers, their chemical composition and properties are described in detail. The third chapter overviews optical amplifiers, their use today, describes their advantages and disadvantages and their proper use in optical comunications. The fourth chapter describes the solution of the objective, the right layout of separate blocks and connections used in measurements. Fifth chapter describes used components, describes their basic parameters and proper use in circuit. The last chapter evaluates outputs of measurements and their impact on the objective.
Modular Architecture of Distributed Applications
Musil, Jiří ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
Traditional architectures of software systems are in heterogenous environment of today's computer networks too heavy-footed. One of principles, which tries to solve this problem is service-oriented architecture (SOA). Practical way of its implementation is represented by web services (WS) built upon protocols like SOAP or XML-RPC. This diploma thesis focuses problem of providing contextual information to mobile devices and its solution based on SOA principles. The thesis introduces design and implementation of web service providing contextual information to mobile devices and prototype of modular inverse SOAP proxy server allowing its effective monitoring and management.
A Tool for Robustness Testing of Web-Services
Zelinka, Tomáš ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This project deals with testing of web services. The result of this work will be a tool for load testing of web services using fault injection in their communication. The first part of the project discusses the basic aspects of testing web services. The second part of the work is more focused on testing high loads in combination with fault injection. The tool will allow automated run of the tests. The distributed model of the tool was designed to simulate real loads. In the last chapter are summarized achieved results.
Interfaces of Web-Services
Kubát, David ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this thesis was to get acquainted with the proposition of the service-oriented architecture and its real representation web services. To understand the principles of their functioning, creation, communication and the ways to finding and using them. To be specific, the goal of this project was to analyse a current program, design its transfer to the web service description language and to implement a web service interface layer upon this program. The system is demonstrating the basic principles of the web services and the function of the interface during the communication between its provider and customer.
Optical amplifiers for metropolitan and access networks
Čech, Martin ; Šporik, Jan (referee) ; Tejkal, Vladimír (advisor)
Aim of this Master´s thesis is to describe and compare most common types of optical amplifiers used in today’s networks. The first section focuses on problematic of optical transmissions and phenomenon which cause degradation of transmitted signal. It is also explained in this section why there is a need to deploy optical amplifiers. Next section describes basic principles, structure and properties of individual types of optical amplifiers. Following section describes simulations which were made to compare the performance of transmission systems with each individual type of optical amplifier. The last section contains a design of optical metropolitan network with wavelength multiplex. Based on simulations from preceding part best amplifier type and optimal amplifier placement was selected. Functionality of the design was tested and simulations described in final section.
Transformation of N.e.s.p.i. System into Web Services
Fiala, Jan ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Květoňová, Šárka (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the analysis, specification, origin and transformation of the current editing system N.E.S.P.I, which is the intellectual property of the company WebRex s.r.o. The main aim is to separate the administration of the web sites from their content, which can be seen on the Internet and by doing so to achieve the unified and complex administration interface for the customers. By bringing the service into work we do not only save time and simplify the work of the programmers, but we are also able to reach the stage when the editing system is not only the intellectual property of the company, but also its physical property, because the customer owns only the web sites, but the possibility to administrative them is offered as further service. The service should also provide the customers with modern access to informational technologies and propose enhanced assistance for their entrepreneurial plans and ideals.
Highly Available Scalable CMS in the Java EE Environment
Šramko, Samuel ; Kolář, Dušan (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with the background of the design of a highly available, scalable and modular content management system based on the Java EE platform and the OSGi framework and with the implementation of the designed system. It describes the design and implementation of the application decomposition to modules, their communication and bindings. Finally, it presents the results of the application testing and proposes available extensions of the application.
Application Framework for Information System Development in Dart
Raška, Miroslav ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
Web applications development nowadays is experiencing specific difficulties in presentation layer that could be solved by a framework that combines modern technologies and novel framework approach. The difficulties are introduced, along with their solution in existing web frameworks. Novel, message-driven framework architecture, basic component structure and various framework extensions are analysed and outcomes and effects are discussed. Technical problems with implementation of generally analysed solutions in the Dart language are examined. The decisions and solutions are accompanied by their effects on real-world applications.
Design and development of business intranet system
Štúň, Jaroslav ; Večeřa, Michal (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
The design and implementation of business intranet system for Hestego s.r.o. company in attempt to enhance the quality and efficiency of internal communication, business culture and awareness of empolyees is the main focus of this thesis. Current status, limited to use of narrow-profiled information system is described as a part of analysis. Furthermore, commonly used practices in implementing business intranet, together with broadly acknowledged advantages for companies are provided. Based on the gained knowledge, a solution relying on implementing an independent intranet system utilizing database system and .NET web application is proposed. Within the practical section, company’s requirements with regards to functionality and design, conforming with provided logo guidelines are presented. As a final part of this thesis, proposed solution is implemented, documented and deployed in corporate enviroment. Moreover, the advantages of proposed solution for the company are evaluated.
