Measurement of refractive index and morphometry of living cells by coherence-controlled holographic microscopy

This master’s thesis deals with the design of methodology for measurement of refractive index and thickness of living cells by coherence-controlled holographic microscope. The theoretical part summarises the holographic microscopy and its development at IPE FME BUT in Brno. The thesis focuses on the multimodal holographic microscope, its description, the principle, the procedure of work and data processing. Confocal microscopy is also described, which serves to compare the acquired values with the proposed methodology. The last part of the theoretical part deals with the testing of statistical hypotheses, which is needed for the processing of measured data. Experiments were designed for the verification of methodology for determination of the refractive index and cell thickness. The experimental part of the thesis deals with the sample preparation and measurement. The procedure and results of the proposed experiments and their evaluation follows.

Discharge - resolving of insolvency of a debtor

Discharge - resolving of insolvency of a debtor A discharge is, in addition to bankruptcy order and restructuring, one of the options for resolving of the insolvency or imminent bankruptcy of a debtor in insolvency proceedings. The discharge can be initiated only by proposal from debtor, but only certain person can this proposal write and submit (the lawyer, the notary, the executot, the insolvency administrator or the accredited person). If the debtor proves that his proposal has honest intent, and that he is able to pay at least 30 % of his claims to the creditors, then the court will grant the discharge from debts. The discharge can be done in three ways: the liquidation of the assets, the performance of the payment calendary for up to 5 years or a combination of these two methods. The debtor himself can show his preferred way in the proposal, but the final decision is on unsecured creditors. Only if the creditors do not agree on any of these ways, will the court decide. If the debtor performs his duties for the duration of the discharge, the court will decide on fulfillment of the discharge and exempts the debtor from paying the remaining parts of his claims. Deconstruction of the menstrual taboo in the "Nemusíš" advertising spot

The bachelor thesis entitled "Deconstruction of the menstrual taboo in the "Nemusíš" advertising spot" deals with the method in which the taboo topic of menstruation is treated in advertising. The theoretical part of the thesis offers an explanation of fundamental terms such as menstruation, taboo and menstrual taboo. Attention is paid to menstruation from both a biological and a social point of view. The thesis gives an overview of how menstruation is dealt with in so-called menstrual art, popular culture and advertising. The paper examines the way in which sanitary pads and tampons are communicated within the menstrual taboo. The aim of the thesis is to analyze how the spot "Nemusíš" (translated as "you do not have to") by the brand Ria faces advertising clichés, which are widely represented in advertisements for women's pads and tampons in the form of image or language metaphors. Both the technical attributes of the spot and the narratives associated with menstruation, which cover topics such as menstruation shame, men and menstruation, language taboos, visualization of menstruation in the public, etc. This ad shows a world in which women are not always happy while menstruating, unlike the "advertising reality".

The employee's opinion restaurants on smoking and smoking prohibition in restaurants

This diploma thesis deals with restaurants employee's attitude to smoking and restaurant smoking ban. The main goal of my diploma thesis is to reveal these restaurant employee's attitudes. I composed a theofetical part for fulfilling this goal, where all the crucial terms, related to smoking, second-hand smoking, health consequences and smoking precaution are explained. Current anti-smoke legislation and occupational safety and health in restaurants are analysed at the end of the theoretical part. In the practical part, there I describe the set main goal and other goals of the thesis, its hypotheses and methodology. The survey is carried out via a self-constructed. questionnaire, which was handed to randomly chosen restaurants employees in České Budějovice. I used statistical methods - chi-square tests - to assess all the gained data and test the hypotheses that had been settled in advance. The results are consequently assessed and interpreted.

Blended learning in the educational system of public administration officers

The Bachelor's work focuses on the topic of training officials working in public administration, which has been illustrated both from the theoretical and practical points of view. The work is based on the theoretical concept of human resources capital. The second chapter defines the contemporary concept of an all-life learning in the Czech Republic, its system and basic documents. The following part describes the basic theoretical framework of training of the public administration officials in the Czech Republic, based on the Act No. 312/2002 Coll., on Local Government Officials for their Preparation of Workers in Public Administration and on Modification of Certain Acts. The work moreover explains the basic principles of officials' training, describes separate areas thereof, as well as the system of accreditation of educational establishments and programs and basic models of development of the training programs. The closing part of the paper is focused on practical knowledge resulting from implementation of the training programs designated for the target group of public administration officials and relating to the ESF EU Project: Creation of Innovative Training Programs for Zlín County Administration Officials. International trade in a Kraft paper intended for contact with food

The master´s thesis deals with international trade with packaging paper intended for contact with food.
The theoretical part concentrates on packaging types and functions, the history of the paper industry in the Czech Republic and the world market with packaging paper intended for contact with food. The legislation of each country is very important for this type of business, therefore the legislation in selected countries is briefly described, including internationally regarded certification.
In the practical part the author analyses the sales of the company Mondi Štětí a.s. in the years from 2010 to 2012 and defines countries with the highest purchasing of packaging paper for end-use with food contact.
The third part is devoted to evaluation of the market and the way the company trades on the market. There are contained proposals for optimization leading to the acceleration of trade in this commodity

Analysis of conditions of Health education for children with mental disability at school

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the conditions of health education of children with an intellectual disability at school and to find out their knowledge of health and their attitudes about it. First teoretical part focuses on terminology and classification of intellectual disabilities. In this part, the possibilities of upbringing and education of children with an intellectual disability are stated and the South Bohemian Region in which the research took place is specified. At the beginning of the practical part, some cooperating schools situated in this area are described. Two different surveys focused on different groups of respondents were created. First survey was intended for pedagogues and assistents in practical and special primary schools. It provided basic identifying information about individual respondents, their experience, methods and opinions. The second survey was intended for children with an intellectual disability in regular primary schools and it provides basic identifying information about individual respondents, their knowledge and attitude to healthy lifestyle. The evaluation of questionnaires shows that children with an intellectual disability have good conditions for health education and good knowledge of basic principles of health, however they are not able to adopt it and follow these rules in everyday life.

The issue of export of Czech companies to the Russian Federation

Russia is one of the most important business partners of the Czech Republic. And its importance is growing. This bachelor thesis focuses on Czech exports to Russia. This work is divided into four main chapters. In the first chapter I characterize economic development of the Russian Federation and I also describe the trade between the Czech Republic and Russia. Then I describe government activities relating to the trade support. In the third chapter I characterize Russian business environment and possible means how companies can enter the market. The theme of my last chapter is process of business operation, the biggest attention is given to customs operation.

Regional policy instruments in Hradec Králové region

This thesis is written about the regional policy instruments, specifically in Hradec Králové Region. The goal of this study is to evaluate the regional policy instruments in Hradec Králové Region, research the strengths and weaknesses of these instruments and suggest possible improvements in their application. The methods of synthesis and analysis are used in this thesis. The theoretical part of this research deals with the most commonly used system of classification by different authors; furthermore, describes their development and demonstrates their situation in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, socioeconomic profile of Hradec Králové Region is briefly presented; moreover, the instruments applied in the studied region are specified and evaluated, strengths and weaknesses are demonstrated; and lastly, recommendations for future development are presented. The conclusions are summarised in a table for clarity, where strengths and weaknesses and recommendations for each instrument can be found.
