Conseqences of increasing number of university graduates in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the recent issue of increased number of university students. It entails the problematic success on the labor market or reduction of quality of the particular studies. This research focuses not only on the Czech Republic region but also on some other chosen countries contending with the very similar issue. This thesis follows the analogous paper of Jan Keller and Lubor Tvrdý: "Vzdělanostní společnost? Chrám, výtah a pojišťovna". Classical statistical research and questionnaire survey were employed as the key methods of answering the main inquiries.
Necessity of change in professional preparation of teachers

1 ABSTRACT: The present thesis argues for the necessity of a fundamental change in the professional preparation of primary and secondary school teachers; additionally, it discusses the way the education of future teachers should take. From the perspective of educational management, it proposes concrete measures that should be taken in order to implement the change. The author points out the seriousness of the issue in a broader context on the basis of an analysis of the curricula of faculties of education. The main reason for the change in the professional preparation of teachers is seen in the insufficient reflection of the current needs of the contemporary society, both in the content and form of teacher education. The thesis is divided into four chapters: Contemporary context as a major imperative, The present state of the professional preparation of teachers, The objectives of the professional preparation of teachers in the contemporary context, and The main steps towards the realization of the new goals.
Problem Statement of Inclusion of ICT into Education of Pedagogical Workers

The aim of this thesis is to explore the possibilities of involvement of information and communication technologies in teachers' training. It defines the terms teacher, director, education, mapping interest and availability of teachers of information and communication technologies, but also presents various options that can contribute to teachers' education. It clearly explains how the subsequently used data had been collected. The information obtained from the questionnaires and unstructured interviews were processed and analyzed. Obtained results are further used and compared with the statements. The conclusion summarizes the results and on their basis recommendations are elaborated in the annex, which is intended for the school management, taking into account the different sizes of school. Competencies of deputy headmaster of primary school

A thesis deals with still not very clear conception of the deputy headmaster of the primary school. It determines which competences are delegated to these workers , and whether the scope of their activities affects the size of the school and any number of deputy headmasters . The selected sample of primary schools in the Czech Republic were studied and then the current practice was described in the key areas of the school management. The present thesis has been completed using available literature a freely accessible Internet resources relating to the topic . Based on generally accepted legal norms and specific laws governing the area of education. A quantitative research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire in the online environment . It was aimed at determining the scope of competences of the deputy headmasters in the key areas of school management and identifying specific actions contained in the job description . Addressed respondents were the deputy headmasters of the school head . Their views on the possible definition of a legal base of this job and the number of students and graduates of the shool management were also examined. School self-evaluation in terms of the merged organization (pre-primary and primary education)

This diploma thesis is focused on self-evaluation in terms of the merged organizations pre- primary and primary education within scope of problematic of school management. The target of this thesis was mapping the progress of self-evaluation processes of merged organizations and define the rate of continuity of self-evaluation between pre-primary and primary education. In the theoretical part thesis deals with study of present knowledge of this topic in professional literature and research studies, annual reports of Czech School Inspectorate and anchoring of topic in statutory norms of Czech republic. It briefly describes the self-evaluation in the context of the general (corporate) management and self-evaluation of foreign schools. In empirical part is worked with informations collected by structured interviews, analysis of inspection and anual reports of selected sample of the merged organizations pre-primary and primary education, analysis of annual reports of the Czech School Inspectorate and the data obtained from the questionnaire survey. 1 ABSTRACT This final thesis is focused on the description of the specific conditions of the current development of regional education in Prague and the Central Bohemia Region. This is particularly true in relation to the use and creation of basic conceptual documents (long- term Plan for Education and the Educational System in the City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region) and other policy materials created for specific regional education in the City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region. The aim of this final thesis is to describe the specific fundamental conditions for the development of regional education in each region, the specific shared conditions of City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region. The final thesis also describes the current functioning of regional education in terms of financing, legislation and some decision-making responsibilities of local governments - municipalities and regions. The aim of this thesis is also to find common requirements and recommendations of a shared approach to solving problems in regional education in the City of Prague and Central Bohemia Region. Issue of assessment of the readiness of students and trainee teachers on teaching practice

The closing thesis deals with the issue of undergraduate training of students at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia and their following introduction into the school practice. The thesis verifies whether students' presumptions for choosing to study at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, changed their idea about the readiness to enter the school practice including possessing individual pedagogical skills. This thesis brings many findings for the school management. These findings can be applied in new employees' adaptation. Among the benefits of this thesis belongs renewal of the discussion about teaching profession and clarification of basic terms and their semantic content in the theoretical literature. Questionnaire survey showed that there has been happening a change with the students who choose faculty of education, i.e. they choose it purposely with the vision of teaching profession. School management should reflect this change.
