Intergration of Students with Learning Disorders as a Chance for South Bohemian Secondary Schools

The integration of pupils with special educational requierements as a chance for South Bohemian secondary schools? The following pages provide the confirmation that these are not just empty words. The author purposely chose a bordering topic that covers psychology and management because the integration itself is conteplated from the point of view of a leading official in educational system. Some basic terms from the field of integration and commented legislative framework related to integration will be introduced to the reader. Special attention deserve the personal observations and perceptions from the school, where the integration takes place. The goal of the author is to point out precisely the difficulties of the whole process and to give suggestions and methods for solving them effectively. In the second practical part the author presents the integration as a impulse towards the change of the strategic planning together with pros and cons of such a change. The author puts forward statistically processed demographical development and analysis of competitive environment in South Bohemia, which precedes such a crucial decision to understand integration as a positive impulse that might uplift the school in longer terms. Issue of assessment of the readiness of students and trainee teachers on teaching practice

The closing thesis deals with the issue of undergraduate training of students at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia and their following introduction into the school practice. The thesis verifies whether students' presumptions for choosing to study at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia, changed their idea about the readiness to enter the school practice including possessing individual pedagogical skills. This thesis brings many findings for the school management. These findings can be applied in new employees' adaptation. Among the benefits of this thesis belongs renewal of the discussion about teaching profession and clarification of basic terms and their semantic content in the theoretical literature. Questionnaire survey showed that there has been happening a change with the students who choose faculty of education, i.e. they choose it purposely with the vision of teaching profession. School management should reflect this change.
