Challenges of integration of foreign pupils at primary schools
Kocianová, Barbora ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Horáčková, Klára (referee)
This thesis deals with the theme of integration and education of foreign pupils at primary schools. Further, it presents the findings which are connected with this theme. It focuses on classification of challenges and problems which can occur when the pupil starts to attend a school in a foreign country, and tries to find possible solutions and preventive measures as well. It has been confirmed that teachers see positive contribution of a foreign pupil in the class but they also admit and express concerns about insufficient preparedness and the lack of materials for work with the foreign pupils. The empirical part of this paper analyses three case studies which have been made thanks to observation of the foreign pupils and thanks to interviews with their class teachers. This part also concerns with teachers' opinions and their view of the challenges that are brought up by the presence a foreign pupil. The outcome of the thesis is a set of sample work sheets intended for foreign pupils. These worksheets are compatible with the textbooks for teaching Czech language which are commonly used at primary schools. Key words Integration, second language pupils, foreign pupils, students-foreigners, adaptation, intercultural education, inclusion, cultural differences, multicultural education,...
Mathematical modelling of liver perfusion
Kociánová, Barbora ; Rohan, Eduard (advisor) ; Bulíček, Miroslav (referee)
Liver perfusion can be modelled by Darcy's flow in multiple connected com- partments. The first part of the present thesis shows in detail the existence of a solution to the multi-compartmental model. The flow in each compartment in this model is characterized by a permeability tensor, which is obtained from the geometry of liver vasculature. It turns out that this tensor might be singular, which potentially causes solvability problems. The second part deals with this abnormality in one compartment. By using the theory of degenerate Sobolev spaces, an appropriate weak formulation is defined. Analogues of Poincar'e and traces inequalities in this degenerate setting are proved, which also imply the existence of the weak solutions. In addition, this part justifies another possibil- ity how to deal with degenerate permeability, which is regularizing the tensor by adding a small isotropic permeability to it. In the third part, the aim is to find subdomains of autonomous perfusion with respect to the source positions. This is formulated as a minimization problem and several numerical results are presented. 1
Analysis of the SIR model
Kociánová, Barbora ; Pražák, Dalibor (advisor) ; Slavík, Jakub (referee)
The thesis deals with stability of delay epidemiological models. For this pur- pose we formulate the basic theory of delay differential equations and the fun- damental theorems about Ljapunov functions and stability, that we state with detailed proofs. We briefly comment on the meaning of each equation and con- stants used in three epidemiological models: SIR with constant population size, SIR with varying population size and SEIR model. It is a system of two, three and four delay differential equations, respectively. By combining different procedures from source articles we find appropriate Ljapunov functions and with the help of them we prove global asymptotic stability of the disease free equilibrium and local asymptotic stability of the endemic equilibrium for each of the models.
Creditors and make claims in insolvency proceedings
Kociánová, Barbora ; Smolík, Petr (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of rigorosum thesis is to give an analysis of the various institutes of insolvency law with a focus on the creditor and the procedural steps in the insolvency proceedings, accompanied by a comparison method, case law, the views presented in technical writing, knowledge of practical life creditors and critical evaluation of problematic issues applicable legislation. The result of the work should be comprehensive methodology of conducting the creditors during the insolvency proceedings, from its opening to the moment when the insolvency proceedings on procedural grounds built for sure that the creditor's receivable is determined and the lender will be satisfied with any of the bankruptcy. The work is divided into seven chapters, each chapter reflects significant legal field relating to creditors and their claims. The introductory part is rather theoretical focus, especially on the subject of insolvency proceedings, bankruptcy legislation and its development rights, the principles on which the insolvency proceedings is, definition of debt as contract law and a person lender. Another chapter discusses the course of bankruptcy proceedings, from its launch until the bankruptcy court decides whether the debtor's bankruptcy or not qualified. Among other things, the chapter also explains the meaning of...

Music festival as a socialcultural phenomenon
Kocianová, Barbora ; Soukup, Václav (advisor) ; Soukup, Martin (referee)
Subject of the thesis is to present a complex analysis of a music festival as a sociocultural phenomenon within a case study of Woodstock. The focus is on the role of Woodstock in the American cultural revolution in the 1960s. While applying chosen concepts from the field of social sciences, the author investigates whether Woodstock was an integral part of the American cultural revolution or not. The thesis proposes a neutral point of view of social sciences concerning Woodstock, since this event is interpreted in various ways. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the research of this topic through a culturological reflection.
Segmentation in the context of audience development
Kocianová, Barbora ; SULŽENKO, Jiří (advisor) ; KAŠPAR, David (referee)
The Diploma thesis – Segmentation in the context of audience development – examines approaches towards deepening relationship between audience and cultural organizations based on usage of segmentation models. These models provide better understanding of audience’s needs and their reasons to participate in cultural activities. The theoretical background follows historical perspective of audience development and its tools, the connection between marketing and audience development, criteria and types of segmentation and also cultural particicpation factors, which influence audience’s behaviour and their decision making. In order to elaborate on this topic thoroughly, the British audience segmentation models created by the organisations Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, Arts Council England and The Audience Agency are analysed. Author’s own segmentation model is presented along with recommendations for audience development tools suitable for each segment. This model is based mainly on interviews with representatives of aforementioned British organizations and on data collected via questionnaires from audience participating in Theatre Night 2014 in the Czech Republic.
