Masaryk Academy of Labour - 4th Division of Mechanical and Electrical
Holeček, Vít
The dissertation describes the development, activities as well as the scientific and social contribution of the first Czech (Czechoslovak) technically oriented scientific institution, Masaryk Academy of Labour (MAL), which ranked among the most significant scientific associations of that time. Simultaneously, this scientific and technical institution represents the first institutional establishment of technical sciences in the Czech territory. At the time of the new Czechoslovak Republic, the institution was one of the first Czech scientific institutions which was, together with the Royal Bohemian Society of Sciences and the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts, integrated in the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1952, the predecessor of today's Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The fact that the Masaryk Academy focused on the application of scientific and technical findings in practice is the main source of its significance. This dissertation is devoted to the presentation of the aims and activities of the fourth division of mechanical and electrical engineering of this technical academy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

High, Radka ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Chrz, Vladimír (referee) ; Holeček, Václav (referee)
This disertation thesis thematize the relationship to the future in high school students' and the diagnostic possibilities of this phenomena. We will describe the philosophical and primarily the psychological conception of time. The thesis focuses on the main theoretical concepts of time perspective, the cognitive-motivational theories and their relationship with achievement motivation. The empirical part has three goals: 1. The diagnostic of time perspective, 2. The description of students'relationship to the future, 3. The investigation of relationship between time perspective and achievement motivation. The analysis of the coding system of the Motivational Induction Method lead to improving this system. There was a battery of tests (quantitative and mixed methodology) used to diagnose the time perspective of students', namely Motivational Induction Method (Nuttin), Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (Zimbardo), Achievement Motivation Questionaire (Hrabal, Pavelková) and Motivational Sources of Learning Activities (Pavelková, Hrabal). The case studies that can show positives and/or negatives of used methods and individual ways of representing the future are presented in the end of the thesis. Teachers'reference norms orientation and students'achievement motivation
Kubíková, Kateřina ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Holeček, Václav (referee) ; Man, František (referee)
In the following thesis we studied the development of performance motivation of pupils and its possible mutual connection with external evaluation according to relation norms. In the theoretical part we deal with scientific solutions of terms as performance motivation and relation norm. Mainly we concentrate on the analysis of the so called process model of performance motivation and on the analysis of types of relation norms. We also investigate in detail the issues of genesis of fear and anxiety of individuals during performance activities. We also occupy ourselves with the issues of causal attributions and different perspectives of term range of internal and external motivation. Subsequently, we made causal links between theoretical solutions and school performance. In this part we refer in particular to works of Heckhausen and Rheinberg. In the practical part we present a research, which is focused on the search for links between the use of individual relation norms in pedagogical situations of a teaching lesson and the development of performance motivation of pupils. In the research we took advantage of combination of quantitative and qualitative investigation. Triangulation of these methods helped us to understand better the contemporary school reality and to obtain relatively clear and...
Shaping the psychological concept in teaching psychology
Holeček, Václav ; Štech, Stanislav (advisor) ; Mareš, Jiří (referee) ; Stuchlíková, Iva (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the issue of construing psychological concepts studied from the didactic- pedagogical and especially from the psychological point of view. The complicated processing of notions into concepts construction found its theoretical resource mainly in the theories of Vygotsky, Piaget and Bruner. The thesis analyses individual, social and educational constructivism and compares transmisive and constructivistic approaches within the school education. A separate section of the theoretic part deals with the didactics of psychology and with the definition of the term psycho-didactics. The topics of adolescent characteristics (with the focus on their cognitive development) and the concept of temperament (mainly its typologies) are included for empirical research reasons. The empirical part of the thesis confirms the patterns described in theories on a concrete psychological concept. For experimental research, the relatively well defined concept 'temperament' was purposely chosen (specifically types of classical temperament typology). The appropriation and understanding of these psychological notions/concepts are affected by several factors. The thesis explores the influence of the teaching method (transmisive vs. constructivistic approach) and the influence of knowing the student's personal...
