Classification of sleep phases using polysomnographic data
Králík, Martin ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is the classification of polysomnographic data. The first part of the thesis is a review of mentioned topic and also the statistical analysis of classification features calculated from real EEG, EOG and EMG for evaluating of the features suitability for sleep stages scoring. The second part is focused on the automatic classification of the data using artificial neural networks. All the results are presented and discussed.

Retinal blood vessel segmentation in fundus images via statistical-based methods
Šolc, Radek ; Walek, Petr (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with segmentation of blood vessel from images acquired by fundus camera. The characteristic of fundus images and current methods of segmentation are described in theoretical part. The reach of the practical part is method using statistical model. The model using Student´s distribution for automatic segmentation is gradually drafted. Firstly EM- algorithm has been incorporated and model drafted on Markov random fields for improving robustness to noise after that. Contrast of thin blood vessel is improved in image preprocessing part by discrete wave transformation. The output image is used as mask for grayscale intensity decrease of thinnest blood-vessel and intensity increase of background. Whole model was programed in Matlab. The model was tested on whole HRF database. The quantitative evaluation of binary images were compared with golden standard images.

Powertrains of Octavia vehicles
Pavličík, Lukáš ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis describes powertrains of Škoda Octavia vehicles, which have used from the beginning of production of this car until today. It has two main parts. First chapter focuses on the power unit. Each one is briefly described. In second chapter are described all mechanical and automatic transmissions.

Data quality management in small and medium enterprises
Zelený, Pavel ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Novotný, Ota (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the data quality management. There are many tools and methodologies to support the data quality management even in Czech market but they are all only for large companies. Small and middle companies can't afford them because of high cost. The first goal of this thesis is to summarize principles of the methodologies and then on the base of the methodologies to suggest more simple methodology for small and middle companies. In the second part of thesis is created and adapted the methodology for a specific company. The first step is to choose the data area of interest in the company. Because of impossibility to buy a software tool to clean data, there are defined relatively simple rules which are base source to create cleaning scripts in SQL language. The scripts are used for automatic data cleaning. On the base of next analyze is decided what data should be cleaned manually. In the next step are described recommendations how to remove duplicities from the database. There is used a functionality of the company's production system. The last step of the methodology is to create a control mechanism which have to keep the required data quality in future. At the end of thesis is made a data research in four data sources. All these sources are from companies using the same production system. The reason of research is to present the overview of data quality and to help with decision about cleaning data in the companies also.

Image processing using Android device - electricity meter value recognition
Sliž, Jiří ; Klečka, Jan (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The aim of the work is to design an application for mobile devices with the Android operating system. This application allows image capturing with a camera and image processing with the support of the OpenCV library. The purpose of this application is automatic value recognition of the analog electrometer. The text contains a description of the analog electrometers. The following is characteristic of Android operating system, and this part is directly connected to a draft of the application itself. Next part contains the image processing algorithms, testing and implementation into Android application.

Dynamics of aboveground biomass of a sedge fen
HAŠEK, Ladislav
This thesis is part of Project of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic No P504/11/1151, focused on the role of plants in the balance of carbon dioxide and the other greenhouse gases produced in the ecosystem of a sedge fen, which is situated on the study site Wet Meadows near Třeboň. The thesis deals with the growth dynamics of the dominant sedge, Carex acuta. The samples were taken using the method of successive harvests near the automatic meteorological station of Czech Globe, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. During the growing season nine harvests were accomplished on 25.3, 15.4, 6.5, 5.6., 9.7., 5.8., 9.9., 21.10., 25.11.. On each date eight replicates were taken, i.e., a total of 72 samples within the vegetation season. The seasonal dynamic of the above ground biomass was compared between C. acuta and the other plant species on the experimental area. Both live and dead biomass, was harvested and subsequently sorted to single botanic species, dried, weighed and the values were processed using the MS Excel tables. The seasonal maximum of aboveground biomass of all plant species (both live and dead parts) was found on 9.7. (1452,72 g.m-2). Among plant species the highest values of aboveground biomass were attained by Calamagrostis canescens (1257,93 g.m-2) and C. acuta (1163,49 g.m-2). C. acuta displayed the highest density of all shoots on 15.4 (300 m-2),and the highest average weight of one shoot. The maximum length of the longest live shoot of Carex acuta was very consistent among the measurememnts.
